I have no idea what these people are looking for but I ain't the one!

f*** them, they get the money for free from the fed.  You and I can't do that because corporations are people you know and we aren't so f*** them,  charge up your card buying cheap crap from china then tell them to f*** off.  

I'm not even late in payments and they call..

Here is the problem with Target Collection Calls - they are using several different numbers which is a red flag they may not be legitimate.     They are also using 612-307-5881.  I have a Target account and I fully admit I missed a payment but I fixed it by sending the check and I still continued to get calls.  My suggestion is identify the number, block it and send it directly to voice mail.  If you know you are late with a payment contact the phone number on either the back of your card or statement or just pay the bill; if it is a legitimate call this should put an end to the calls.   From what I have seen, scammers can get their hands on a consumer missing a payment and then use it to their advantage so don't just use the number they called you on.

We have received multiple unsolicited calls from 888-608-7627 on 1/25/13; 1/26/13; 1/27/13; 1/28/13; 1/29/13; 1/30/13; 1/31/13; 2/1/13; 2/2/13; 2/3/13; 2/4/13; 2/5/13; 2/6/13.

Our phone (919-932-1464) is listed on both the national and our state do not call list.

I WORK FOR A COLLECTION AGENCY, AND THE LAW SAYS IF THE CONSUMER TELLS YOU TO REMOVE THE NUMBER, YOU HAVE TO, PERIOD.

ALSO I WOULD REPORT THEM TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL.

no one on the other side ,they call 3 or 4 times a day and there is no one on ther side

I have an Old Navy account that has a balance of $25 that I'm 2 days late on. They have called me a total of 15 times in 2 days. That's a little extreme!

I just called 18886087627 back from a phone other than my cell that they call on. It was Target. I found out earlier today that I lost last months bill- so I'm sure they were calling with an automated message to tell me that my payment was late.

My Target bill was due on 9/8. I paid it on 9/9 and they are still calling. THis has never happened with Target before....Im paying it off and cancelling the card

I get a call from this number at least 4 times a day. I paid an extra $500.00 on my account last month and they say I owe a payment. Oh I don't think so. I got a call for them the other night at 10:30pm. I understand that they are not supposed to call after 9:00. What's with that? After reading this responses I think maybe Target should be turned over to Better Business Bureau.

It is Target credit services if you have a late payment.

Called multiple times, no messages, finallly answered, debt collectors.  Again I have no debt but apparently the last person with my phone had a ton of it.

Hang up when answer machine picks up.

If this is Target financial calling me I am very mad.  They called me today 7/7/2011 and when I picked up and said "hello" no one answered back so I hung up.  I was just looking at my Target bill and it is not due until 7/23/2011.  Why are they calling me before my bill is due>

In most states, they aren't allowed to leave a message.  Best resolution is to pick up the phone and talk to them for a minute.  They can only call you once a day if they speak to you.

While I have no love for most of the banks, a few things...

1 - They're not greedy, they just want you to pay them back at the terms you agreed upon.  If you can't meet those terms, ignoring them doesn't help.  You are best served by talking to them and re-negotiating the terms.
2 - The Federal Do Not Call list does not apply to creditors.
3 - Your grammar really sucks...

They don't have to stop calling you just because you're working with a debt management firm.  You should contact CareOne and ask them to call Target on your behalf.  They will keep contacting you until the account is settled, however.

That only stands for debt collectors.  Not the initial creditor.

Have recently been receiving numerous calls from this number - hangs up when answering machine connects.  What gives?

I have a Target account. It is a bit late as I am struggling but I have never failed to maky a payment. I swear that when I pay it off I am cutting it up. Its not worth the hassle.

They call soppossively looking for someone else (JCPenny account service)" a Guadalupe?"  No idea !!  They only give the first name.  When i called back, emmidiately they ask for your account number or your social security number.  Don't give anything, even if they ask for your name !! Don't give out !!!  Give them a false name like "Candy" etc.  Try to be calm and ask them to remove your number from their list.  If not they will call you many times.

I never answered their calls and they never left me a voicemail message. Like many of you, I don't have a balance. I did email them letting them know that I don't appreicate their annoying unnecessary calls. If they were calling to offer me a service that I was not interested.
