I just got a call from this number from somebody claiming to be DirectTV.  The guy was professional and sounded South Asian, and already had my address and knew I'd set an appointment for new service with DirectTV.  He knew a bunch of the appt details and my address and the package we'd signed up for, so I thought it was legit.  I gave him my CC (stupid, I know), but I got suspicious when he asked for my SS #.  Once I got off the phone I looked up the number and realized it was a scam.  Thinking back on the call, I should have clued into the fact that it was silent in the background, and every other South Asian I've spoken with from a call center over there had tons of background noise.

Turns out my wife thought she was signing up for DirecTV, but it was some third party site with the legit logos and such on it.  Called my bank and set up a fraud alert, and I'm really glad he didn't get the SS info.  Watch out with this one.  

Yes I had this happen to me yesterday, David Copper was the name given to me by a foreigner. He new I was wanting internet service and then kept going on and on about trying to submit the order and needing my ss# I told him I'm not giving him my info and he told me to call him back when I was ready to submit so I try calling and no one answers of course I'm not giving him my info though. I don't think its white fence it's someone that some how got my info, I'm calling white fence about this to let them know whats going on.

Received several calls from this number and when I called, they are a company that does cable/Internet/phone services.  Told them to take me off of their call list but we all know how 'quick' they move!

I keep getting calls over & over from this number to my cell phone & I have never given this number out. It is for emergencys only.

The foreign man indicated he worked for www.whitefence.com  and immediately wanted my social security number.  DONT GO THERE!!

I cant believe this company has called me asking for someone who maybe related to my boyfriend but wen i told them to quit calling my phone and that i had no clue as to who this person they were looking for but im so thakful for thissite because im going to now contact the FBI and report them this is so messed up..

Got the same message as everyone else. I'm in Nebraska. Crazy!

Every few months we get calls from different numbers, never a number within our local area.  All claiming that they attempted to serve papers to the address on file ( no papers or anything else for that matter is ever left, nor received in the mail ) they then proceed to say that if this matter is not taken care of  a warrant will be issued.  This has been going on for the last 3 to 4 years.  If this was actually a valid claim, the local or county law enforcement would have been involved. The last call came from a Danny Thomas.

We got the same call. Same clown only this time using a different name. Greg Zelch stated he was with claims forwarding division....blah blah blah.
This is a scam I reported to the Texas Attorney Generals office. You can find your state attorney Generals office on the web. File a complaint and let the feds take care of this clown.

It was true. They e mailed me the info. So i went over it. I ended up getting a great deal. My original account # and ss# were correct.

If lying makes you happy then there's something wrong with your brain. Lying all day long on the phone in a urine soaked boiler room will wreck your brain pretty fast, if it wasn't damaged in the first place. If you don't believe me, get a mirror.

I paid it. I owed it. It was a loan i took out. All set. Now I'm happy.

Same thing basically left on my cell today. He didn't say my name or address though. Guessing its a scam. Im in missouri.

I too just received a VM from this Danny Thomas and I am in Dallas, Texas... Same exact message, same exact everything! Has anyone figured out who these idiots are as of yet?

Got this call today on my work phone. Same as mentioned below and I'm in Missouri. Guess "Danny Thomas" is a jet setter.  If these people put half as much effort into a real job just THINK what they could accomplish!

I received the SAME message as "VeryAnnoyed" and "Unreal" did from Danny Thomas today.  I am in Florida as well. The funny part is, I WORK for collection lawyers and THIS is legally not the way that people get served and "bench warrants" DO NOT get issued for small claims / county court cases.  They have been reported.  Good luck!

I got the call today from Danny Thomas 1-888-609-4191 county legal services. I live in Minnesota. He said he tried to deliver a summons. I called the number back and the man who answered was Mark Wenson or Swenson and his office was called claims forwarding.

Same exact message (failed service, will issue bench warrant) in Northern California today, 9/24/13.

Appears as unknown number on my work number. They a weird message, but sometimes cannot understand it. Something about legal action and warrants for arrest.

I also just received the same phone call and I am in Texas.  2nd type call from a different scam collector in 10 days!  It is getting ridiculous!!!!

I received a call from this # for the second time. And yes his name was danny thomas from county legal services and im in illinois. Stating the same thing about unsuccessful attempt to deliver a summons and issuing a bench warrant. This danny guy must like to travel b/c he is everywhere from the looks of it. I was freaking out until i read these posts. This ish is crazy and they need to be stopped.

Called my mother house saying that I have committed check fraud and I have never had a check in my life. Told my mother to call this number and put in ext 308 to settle it out of court. When I tried to call the number back it went straight to a regular home voicemail.

my fiance keeos getting the same phone call, except its them trying to get a hold of me, umm if i owed money you should have my information not my fiances information...can you say SCAMMERS!!!!!

Just got a voice mail from this Danny Thomas person. LM saying they were issuing a warrant. I called the police department and reported this number. They are going to investigate and they have had several complaints. These people need to be stopped. I also reported this to the attorney general's office as I know him well. This is truly a scam and meant to scare people. My son  died a few years back and he had some debts so they have my name. This really make me angry. !!

I'm in Kansas City Mo, and just got the same call as all the above.  from 888-609-4191 and some guy calling himself Danny Thomas county legal services, threating a bench warrent.

They left a message on my phone but the only thing I could make out was that they were going to serve a bench warrant on me. I live in Maryland!

I just a call from them today 9/19/13 told me I owed 300 and court was at 9:30 am tomorrow. wile talking to them I looked up the number and read these comments, they are scammers for sure... I told them that and they hung up so I called back and got the same person but he told me a different name I told him I could tell his voice and I wasn't stupid he then hung up again.
