i recieve this message that i won a christmas give away ..woman answer the phone and was told that thry were going to call me back after they pull up the info on the computer. yes i was ask if there a mr berkley..who are they?

I called during the afternoon and got thru. A woman answered saying John was on another call but that it was a promo where someone must have entered my phone number into a drawing in the last 12-18 months. She then asked if I was married or living with a significant other. She said the promotion (still not clear what it really was) was only for couples?

Same as above, down to the last breath!  I am in suburb of Los Angeles (on the dnc list)  and I definitely didnt fill out any thing with my phone # on it.

I got the same call down here in Louisiana.  Said my name had been drawn to win a Lincoln Navigator, Tv, etc.  His name was John also. he said, enthusiastically, that "my name had been drawn and it worked out well for me this time!" Load of crap.

He's probably using a robo-dialer that calls every number in an exchange.  Yes, the call is illegal.  He can be fined or sued.  But first you have to catch him, and he could be anywhere in the world.

Has anyone actually called this person back? How are our phone numbers being collected? My husband and I areon the national do-not-call list. Could this intrusion be cause for legal action?

Just got same vioce mail from "John", with same pitch..........won either Ford Explorer, $25,000 cash   etc...this is BS as I never enter any contests especially for a "turkey" and never give my phone # out... caller ID read: 708-389-7563 from Blue Island, IL.........NEEDLESS TO SAY, I WON'T BE CALLING

Just got a call from "John" about the annual thanksgiving giveaway. Ford Explorer, $25,000, Trip or TV - I called - let's see what happens. Most likely "trip" that involves time-share BS; Sharmain is the person who called me back.

It is totally disgusting in our society that so many scammers are out there trying to get their hooks into innocent, gullible citizens. Unfortunately the victims often are elderly or poorly educated or young people -- those in our society who can least afford to be taken.

Was called in the pm. , same scam . I was told I had won an SUV call them back for tetails. I never returned the call. JUST CRAP!.

Received same message from "John" concernning the "Annual Thanksgiving giveaway." I was to get either $ 25,000, or a new Ford Explorer, or a Trip, or a Flat Screen TV. I was told to call 888-611-7576. The caller ID on my phone indicated that the call was from 708-389-7542. That number is from Crestwood, Illinois

The usual you've-won-a-prize scam, if this one is a scam, is you have to go to a specific place and time to pick it up and be hit with a sales pitch of some kind (travel club membership, timeshare, cruise, etc.). And of course you've won the cheapest prize and there's always some catch so you'll turn the prize down.

This is a total hoax!  Then called said his name was John and it was in my best "interest" to call him back at 1-888-611-7576.  BEWARE!  Do NOT call this number.  The called ID came up as Private Caller.  We didn't answer and we will NOT be calling this number.

Just got the same call as the other posts above.  The number on my caller id said private caller.  The caller said his name was John and I had entered a Annual Thanksgiving Giveaway.  He said I had won .either a Ford Explorer, tv or $25,000 and to call 1-888-61-7576.  

I didn't bother to call since I saw that this call was exactly the same as the other posts, so it must be a scam.

I got the same exact call as the two mentioned above. I called back to see what's up and got a busy signal.

Exactly the same as previous post, with the same caller id. Obviously a scam. Beware.

Message left telling me to call 1-888-611-7576. Caller said I had won Ford Explorer and mentioned several other prizes and it would be in my best interest to call his toll free number. Said his name was John . Caller ID showed that call came from 1-708-389-7549 with a name of  "CHI CITY GRAPHI"
