I started receiving 2 to 3 calls per day about 1 week ago from 888-620-8715. There's always silence on the other end so Ihang up after a couple of seconds. Now I no longer answer. Not sure who owns the number or how to get off of their list.

I live in Iowa and I have had multiple calls from them and am quite mad as it it my cell phone they are calling!  If I answer it is silence.  I called back to the number and I get a recorded message about training tuff and that if I'm interested I should leave my info so they could get back to me.  I am extremly upset about this!

If it have unavailble on it, I do not want my phone to ring.

It might be Investors Business Daily
based in Santa Monica CA.Or some associated company trying to sell training seminars.

I started getting calls from this number two days ago, and have received four calls... all on my cell phone.  I am also an IBD subscriber, so the post from Jeremy is an interesting point....  I think I might give them a call.

Just got a call from them on my cell phone which was silent when answered.  I'm also a former IBD subscriber, and IBD did have this number. I dropped the paper months ago, and they have called several times from their own line to "make an offer", but I stopped taking their calls.  

Having read this, I just programmed them into my Ignore file.

OK, they called back 3.5 hours later, and I did take the call.  The caller was talking to another customer when I picked up (which is why you often hear nothing-- they're "multitasking") but he ended that call and took my call a few seconds later.  He was indeed pitching a half-priced training course offering for Investors Business Daily.  I asked to be put on their Do Not Call list and Cody agreed to honor that.

I also get several calls from these guys per day. I was an IBD subscriber some time ago, but have not been for a few months. It get annoying and is clearly a sales call.

i also used to be an ibd subscriber and i'm also getting these calls. this site has been very useful! it's helpful to know i didn't miss an important call. thanks everyone.

I often see calls from this number. When I've picked up, it's been silence something telemarketer-esque so I don't stay on too long and I hang up or get hung up on.

Hey these people have been harrassing... so, this is what I did... kinda hacked into there telex using ################## this will place you on hold, you should hear music, hold on, someone will pick up the line. Find out who they are,  Tell them to take your name off the list...

I received calls from this number on my cell phone.  I have been receiving calls for about a week, between 3:00 - 8:30pm CST.  I answered once and they hung up.

I get a call from this number twice a day at 12:30 and 4:30, really frustrating.  I've only answered one time and there was just silence.

got a call on my cell. from a telemarketer for IBD.

A new thing I've learned about all these phone calls with no answer that we get getting is that it is a "computer dial up" for telemarketers.  If you answer the phone the computer logs it as a potential time that a real person can call back and reach someone. If you pick up the phone and no one is there rapidly hit the # button 6 or more times.  This supposedly will confuse the computer and drop you number from the list.

I received a call from this number after 8:30pm, woke up both of my babies.  Not happy!!!

getting calls from this number all the time, same as some of the others above... if I answer, there is silence until they hang up. occasionally I get a voicemail about some training program.  I called at&t wireless about blocking the number, but they charge $4.99/mo to block calls... this is even more annoying than the calls themselves. there's no way I'm gonna spend $60 a year for that 'service.'  hopefully someone will just shut this caller down soon. good luck to the rest of you.

I got a call from 888-620-8715 saying that they were Wade Cook and asking if I were interested in the stock market.  I asked if there was a number I could call them back at and they said "they didn't have phone yet" and hung up.

Wade Cook was just sentenced to jail last week.

As soon as i say something it hangs up on me. i called it back and got recorded message from something called the "Training Institute" I work in the field of HVAC in the chicago area. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Same problem....I'm on the verge of calling my provider to address this matter.

Get calls from this number pretty regularly lately: today, twice yesterday, last week.  Usually I don't pick up.  When I do, there is silence.
