SCAMMERS.  Just read their BBB complaints and you'll know why to hang up the phone IMMEDIATELY and run for the hills.

Wanted to talk to the person who handles our Verizon business account. We don't use Verizon at all and "divorced" them due to complete incompetence and lack of any quality customer service. We're on voip now (for 3 years), so I played along. He told me we "qualified" for a discount on our verizon service and that it could be applied immediately. I said go ahead (knowing there is 0% chance he could slam or force our service to be changed without my consent). Said the call would be recorded, I said ok. Said he was going to put a manager on, I said ok. Waited about 10 seconds and the call disconnected.

Dang! There goes my huge savings!

A man called saying he was from Century Link and asked to speak to the manager of my business phone service. He then said I qualified for a discount on my long-distance service. I don't have a business at home and it was my residential home number, so I was confused. He had obviously found me by looking up businesses on the Business Registry because he named an old business I had ten years ago, but I still had the same number. Anyway, I did a *69 to get his number and called Century Link to see if his number was one of theirs. It wasn't. So, it's a scam.

Called this AM with "May I speak to the person who has the AT&T account?"  I told him to unhand my unlisted number, I was going to report him to the FCC, and hung up.

FCC Enforcement does not seem to be working well.

Called 5 times in 5 min. Blocked after that.... Silence is golden.

Some lost person looking for a tree service. He apparently fell out of one and landed on his head.

I get these calls every "F"ing day!!!!!!
I blocked the call with my call blocking device that I bought off and online auction.  The old wall phone in the kitchen rings once and then the blocker sends the call into a black hole somewhere.  I turned down the wall phone and I can barely hear it ring.  Makes me smile when I do.

They Never stopped calling. They claim to be AT&T , Verizon  ..........
They use different numbers : 866 593-4894 ,   888-627-9399  .............

Calls a few times a week, caller ID says 'unavailable', nobody at the other end of the line when I pick up, just a hang-up click.

I pick up but don't say anything and enjoy listening to them say "Hello" "Hello" "Hello" until they hang up.  Takes about four hellos and 20 seconds.  Sometimes I ask them for their promotional code for their extended car warranty or if they need to file a claim their customer number.  

Called office, nobody there when I answered (which I figured would happen as CID had "Unavailable" as name).  Added to my "pick up/hang up" list.

There was no response immediate response after I answered the phone, so I hung up. If it was a legitimate call they would have called right back...they didn't.

Called today. Told him not interested and hung up. Always make sure that you have contacted your carrier and placed slamming protection on your telephone accounts

Many calls from these scam creeps. Went off on the guy like a snot rocket.  Felt pretty good. The guy was speechless..
and hung up.  None of us have the time to deal with this nonsense-and it if you do..will make your wallet lighter...

Despite the fact I rarely answer these calls, I actually did and the man identified himself and the company he was calling from National Access Long Distance and it was regarding our, "qualification for a discount on our land line."  No thank you.  Although I have to wonder if this will end up like that last issue AT&T had when they had to pay out a settlement for working with some other company that was making some $$ off of the monthly AT&T services; I think it too had something to do with the land lines.  Anyway it was something to that effect.  So just a FYI that it's cold calling regarding your land line numbers.  

Called today and stated they were calling from Frontier about my long distance calls.  Said I had come up on their long distance report as using very little long distance and that they had a package offer for me that would save me money.  I asked them what difference the volume of calls made and they hung up.

Unwanted calls posing as Verizon long distance/Michael.  This is not Verizon and is a scam.  Hangs up on you once they i.d. themselves

I have received several calls from this number.  They have all told me they could lower my long distance billing with Century Link.  I asked if they were with Century Link.  "No, we are Nationwide Long Distance."  I tell them I will deal with Century Link only to change any service and please take my number off their calling list.  Still, I get calls.  Now I pick up the phone, don't say anything, and when they say "Hello," I hang up.  It is So aggravating to get telemarketers calls!!

Caller, Bryan, from "AT&T" wanted to speak to the person who makes decisions in our telephone services. I placed him on hold while I researched the caller id telephone number (888) 627-9399 and as a few notes say, this is a scam. I left him on hold until he hanged-up.

I called AT&T and told tghem about this company -- they do nothing about it -- so they phoned tonite and I ANSWERED "POLICE DEPT. HOW CAN I HELP YOU" -- needless to say they hung up and hopefully they take my phone number off their list but i doubt it too many moving parts for these idiots.

Some guy with a strong hillbilly accent calls asking to speak with someone who handles our AT&T account. When I tell him we do not have an AT&T account he says thank you and hangs up. This is clearly SPAM as a legit AT&T rep would already know which businesses have active accounts with them!

Scam - nothing more.  Don't answer, don't talk to them, and whatever you do, don't give them any personal information.
