I also have been getting calls from them and both of my student loans are current.  Even if you are on the Do Not Call List, you will still get things coming through. One way to stop this is the report them on www.donotcall.gov. I have had alot of success cutting down on bogus calls by reporting them.

They keep calling me, I don't have any loans.  I asked them to give me details of why they are calling or who the loan is through, but they won't leave a message.  They call at least three times a day.

I also get calls from this number to one of my cell phones.  I never answer.  Through my past, present and future experience with network and telecommunication administration I would like people to know that just because that number shows up on your caller ID does not mean they are actually calling from that number or that they are even related.

For example, it would be in their best interest as a scam to use a line like this to convince you to give up personal information.  If they are legitimate they should have access to any information they need.  Anyone can do what is called spoofing ANI to make it look like they are calling from whatever number they choose.  I, as a juvenile, was doing it.  Mostly just to see if I could and play some pranks.  The next thing I knew I had come across many people across the net who wanted to use it for their own need (fraud.)  Companies also spoof ANI for legit reasons like, for example, if it is a large call center with multiple lines calling out but the company wants a single toll free line for others to call in on.

It may sound a little complex for some but it's actually easy and has been around for a while.  Due to things like the economy fraud is on the uprise and growth in technology hasn't slowed much making more and more people interested in this...  Some or maybe many of you have had people call saying you have won a cruise from C.L. Cruise.  That has got to be one of the worse scams I have come across.  They were very disorganized and after calling them out and laughing at them I no longer received calls from them.

I'm not saying this is a scam but it sounds like it.  If I continue to get calls from them I'll toy with them and find out more about it and post the results here.

VERY WELL SAID!  My degree in computer science didn't help me one bit.  I still have the same job (better than what has been offered even after the degree) in network administration.  I paid multiple thousands of dollars and spent a lot of time for some stupid piece of paper that didn't benefit me one bit... it was a total waste of money/time but they made sure they got every cent back.

This person has been calling me for almost a year about student loans and asking for someone that is not me.  I have answered before and have told them they have the wrong number but they continue to call.  I would greatly appreciate if this person stops calling me.

I got a call from these fargin EZZOS* on my cell. A little googling shows this number belongs to Student Loan Counseling  Services, A subsidiary of the CBE Group. The CBE Group, formerly known as Credit Bureau Enterprises of Waterloo Iowa, and Andersen Crenshaw and Associates Inc are the principle council

 The person who former had my current cell number obviously own money to someone, as I have received a few calls from legit debt collector over the 3 or 4 years I've had the number. In recent weeks I have been receiving numerous hang-up calls from numbers in Iowa. This seems to be the latest in this harassment. CBE, Anderson Crenshaw and Associates,

 Aparently they've had numerous complaints as they do not verify the validity of the accounts they buy, and in at least one cases their agents attempted debt collection in a state where they were not licenses as bill collectors.

NO message left, continues to call multiple times per day. OVER IT!!!

This number calls 3 or 4 times a day and every day which is very annoying and it says it has something to do with Student Loans I have no student loans they need to stop calling.

They have called me and never left a message...When I called back I got an automated response that said something about student loan counseling. I never stayed on the line long enough to actually speak to a REAL person, so I don't know what company it is...

I have have been getting these calls. My husband answered a call and actually took a message. For one thing they do not have American accent, two, they want you to leave your social security number....NOT!  And I have been getting these calls daily even though I'm on a do not call list.

You've got the WRONG NUMBER!!! Quit calling my damn cell phone!! I'm on the "DO NOT CALL LIST!!" Or if you leave a message, give a call back number so I can personally give you a piece of my mind!!!

they called me twice.  same people from the student loan counseling service.  last night an automated response for me to please hold the line and someone will be right with me.  after 30 seconds of cheesey music, I hung up.  today they called and again asked me to hold, but this time they were on the line within 20 seconds.  they were asking for a "tiffany" somebody, whom I never heard of before.  I've had my cell number for the past 13 years, so that can't be the issue.  I don't get it, but I sure don't like it.

I get at least 4 calls a day from this number 800-633-4850 asking for someone that I have never heard the name of. I just got this number in late February and this is getting on my nerve. I have answered in the beginning and told them they had the wrong number. I also asked them to take my number off their list. I am a senor citizen and I have not taken out a student loan.
