888-636-0709 is the number of Comcast billing office. My bill is paid and yet, they are
so damned rude. This is what happens when a cable company has a monopoly in regions,
yet they call it a "franchise". The prices are high, too high for what we get. There is
not alternative but to pay whatever the hell ever they charge. It's time we lose the state
and federal politicians that lock us into this corporate cash draining trap.

Here in East Tennessee there is only one choice in my area and that is Comcast. My
bundle package was supposed to save me money. Utter BS, they took me off the bundle
package two months after I signed up, then the price went through the roof. When I
last paid my bill, they customer service girl told me something happened taking me off
my "package" rate and putting me at a higher individual service rate. I hadn't noticed
this for an entire year. I've way overpaid from the written agreement we have.

What can you do about it? Nothing, exactly nothing. It's perfectly legal and there is zero
competition for cable companies. It's time we change the elected w***e on both state
and federal level.

When you cancelled it, they should have given you a confirmation number. Comcast employee's usually have their buisness outfits on. Though I do know a friend of mine who worked from them off a subcontract with comcast.  He was paid to go disconnect and pick up equipment. It might have been a sub contractor that picked it up.  If it was, it may take a while for that to get processed through, but not that long.  First, go to your bank, fix them so they cannot take any more money. Secondly, they can get into deep kim chee for continued billing such as. And third, Tell them you are filing a report with the ftc,FCC and your states PUC, and the attorney General.   You canceled your service!   Another thing you want to do is alway's take down the name of the person in full on who you talked to, cancellation confirmation numbers.  People picking up equipment should be able to show you id as well! Always write down and verify!

As for their contract spiel, they try to claim a contract even after they run out and you say bye! Seems to be the latest in getting free money..  If your original contract ran out, they are sol!

I cancelled my internet and phone service back on March 15th.  A woman named Martha came by and picked up the equipment.  Said would be sent in on March 16th.  My bill should be right around $65.00.  They are charging me close to $144.00 per month.  This is for March, April, May, June, July, and now August.  I have gone to the Comcast office.  No one knows who this Martha is, even though she said she worked out of that office.  Tried to call Customer Service and because I did not have a special password, they would not talk to me.  I am not behind, but I still can't get them to reduce my bill.  Someone told me that if I try to cancel everything, they will make me pay for internet equipment and phone connector.

They are respresentative of Comcast.  They just called me.  Courtesy call on my bill.  They were right to the penny on the bill.  However, to get the payment arrangements I needed, they gave me a local number to call.  This was a legitimate call to me.

Comcast is a greedy price gouging operation.

Just looked at my bill and effective now they are:

- raising the price of a tech visit to $39.95 from $30.00. (33%)

- increasing the late fee from $8.00 to $9.50. (19%)

This outfit is run by greedy A$$WIPES. Oh, the justification for the gouges is the cost of business is increasing.

Time to look into Hulu and a cut rate ISP.

First off all im with tired of whining.. They have heard it all...  Second not A scam they call (if u listen) on BEHALF of Comcast. Trying to help u with your overdue bill. If u don't have one take that up with Comcast directly bc they send you to them when there is a balance due. OH another thing... Keep cussing them out and such lol bc sir or ma'am They will be forced to disconnect this call........ They have a job to do, a pay check to get, a family to feed, and Bills to pay...(Some of u should try it)

It is a scam.  In the past week I have been getting a call from this number.  They usually hang up when you answer.  The last time they said [in an accent I haven't figured out] that they were from Comcast trying to get my account balance paid.  I told them I was up to date and should have no balance.

The tip off it was a scam, they said to verify my account was paid all they needed was the credit card number I used to pay the bill.  I told them I always pay in person in cash and don't have a credit card.  <click>

It'd be helpful if you'd actually leave a voicemail. I don't answer numbers I don't know, especially toll-free and non-local numbers. Leave a voicemail; sometimes people think they've taken care of it when they haven't and random a** calls isn't going to get you anywhere.

Someone that is calling from 888-636-0709 calls and hangs us from comcast.  I have called the # back and when answered it states comcast.  I have called and spoken to a supervisor and was told that my number will be put on a do not call list but it will take a couple of weeks.  I ask the supervisor if I owed a bill and he said a bill had been sent out but my account was up to date.

Seriously folks, if you have a past due bill, you are going to get a call. Pay your bills. Calling the agent that is doing their job names, cussing them, and whining about your sad sad story isn't going to get your bills paid. Might make YOU feel better but have you ever considered the PERSON that is just doing their job?  We hear all your excuses.   Unemployed, been in the hospital, kid in hospital, mother died, son died, losing your home, etc.. if you are in SUCH financial hardship, WHY ON EARTH do you still have cable???       We can't say these things to you, and we take so much verbal abuse from Comcast CUSTOMERS.  WE are normal people, doing a job, it may be annoying to you that the computer doesn't connect you through to an agent, or just hangs there and clicks, but taking it out on the person who does get hold of you is wrong.  We didn't run up that 300.00 (or more) cable bill..  you did.  We didn't quit paying our bills... you did.  We are just trying to do our jobs.  Getting called every ugly name in the book on a daily basis while we do it also.  But it's a job, and we are working to support our family's, and we PAY our bills.

This number called saying Comcast & I was three months behind in my payment -- I just got off the phone with Comcast 5 mins prior.    I told them the amount of my bill and told them to cut my service off.
