Good heavens -- why on earth would you post your phone number on a public website for any scammer to find easily?

I keep getting this phone on my caller ID showing this number: 011-888-637-2967 it is a school company keeps calling me I keep telling them no can you take them off my list please.   My number is this (810) 208-1972 it is on the DO NOT CALL LIST.

Called at 7:02 p.m.  I was not home to receive the call.  Did not leave a message.

If you call it back it is CenturyLink,,I even work there and they keep calling me at home and do not leave a message.  HA HA

Has been calling every few days.  Never leaves message on answering machine.

I got a hangup call from this number too.

A call from CentryTel to its own customers???  Repeatedly???  Sounds like a little harrassment to me. Every evening, two rings - nobody there. Wanting me to go internet with them??  It's gonna' drive me away pretty soon.

I get this number popping up on my caller ID.  No one was on the other end of the line.  I called back to get a voicemail message to leave MY name, number, etc so a 'representative can get back to you'.

I've already got Windstream bundle...

This number 888-637-4742 has called my home at least 20 times over the last 2 days.  I already have Windstream DSL, so why would they try to sell me a package that I'm already paying through the nose for?  Like many of you, it rings once or twice and then hangs up.  Very annoying.  Good luck with your lawsuit.

This is a follow up to the previous message. As of today, May 20th at 2:20 pm Central time, I have received a total of 56 phones calls from this number. It is Windstream trying to sell me a DSL package. Their first call was at 5:47 am on May 14th. Their last call on the 14th was at 11:06 pm that night. I am on the do-not-call list, and each time I asked them not to call again. My attorney has drawn up papers to file a lawsuit against them. So far he has them on several charges. I went to Windstream today after the 2:20 pm call and had a meltdown. They called customer service and all I got were sighs and strange eating noises on the other end. They assured me at the local office that they didn't know Windstream was doing solicitation for DSL packages.

This number called me nine time on May 14th, 2008. Their first call was at 5:47 AM, second call was 6:13 AM, and their last call was 11:03 pm. On the following days -- 15th, 7 calls; 16th, 6 calls; 17th, 7 calls; 18th, 6 calls; 19th, so far 2 calls.

We are both elderly and walk with walkers. Early and late calls frighten us because we think it is a family emergency. If this continues we will file a lawsuit for harrassment.

There is a website about a Windstream group that has a monitering service that started last week using this number.

These people have been calling, but not answer when I pick up the phone. I returned the  caller  number  888-637-4742 and
found out it was Century-tel wanting to offer me a internet  bundle package. The company name is CenturyTel. I am on the do not call list. I would prefer that they do not call.

Interesting...  Called my UK mobile phone - unfortunately missed the call.  If they are telemarketers, I would have like to keep them on the line for hours, at international rates ;)

Two days in a row this call comes in with the number of 888-637-4742. It rings once and when I answer it no one on the other end, sounds like a scam or something. I do not want them calling as I am on the Do Not Call List. If I wanted to buy something I will go the store that I need whatever and buy it, as for CenturyTel package I do not want.

Almost same time daily.  I tried to have this number blocked but was told because it is an 800 number that it is impossible.  Have heard also that this is a scam and when you answer your phone bill is somehow charged then this company called Toll Free SVC receives a "check" from the phone company.  Anyone else heard of this.
