Silence when picked up. Yet another obnoxious automated calling system?

Seems to be marketing about problems with wells and how to save money. Ignore them, total rubbish in my opinion. They want you to dial certain numbers. They have no idea if you do or don't have a well either. Just a fishing expedition.

This number must belong to one of those automated phone centers - the kind that has auto-dialing machines calling a zillion numbers. They bother you with the telephone equivalent of spam. I live in a rural area, and when we get calls from this number, they begin "Local septic tank owners...." The recording instructs us to stay on the line and press one for further information.

We always hang up, but I suppose one day I should press one and find out which local company has hired these scumballs to harass us. Then at least I would know who to get mad at.

This number calls and hangs up when we answer. When we call back it says "If you have received an unwanted call from this number, please leave your name,  phone number and address and we will remove you from the call list"
