Caller stated her name was Ashley and she needed to speak to someone about the merchant services account.  I transferred her to a dummy voicemail and she hung up immediately.  There was nothing on the Caller ID

I put them on hold until they hang up. AFTER asking them as many questions as I can and sometimes feigning that I did not hear them and having them  repeat themselves...lol

If they want to waste my time (after being asked NOT to call) then I will waste theirs...

small business alliance scammers. Call from multiple numbers every week , several times/day.

No one on line when I answered.  Called them back got Small Business Alliance.  I hung up..  Figured it's a junk call selling high interest loans or claiming there is government money available for small businesses.  Well we all know how that works out   and it's not good.  Wish they would stop calling.

Abandoned Call

Very annoying. Called by 888-642-1153 with callerid "800 Service." (Why don't they say 888 Service? 1d10t.) I did not answer; they did not leave a message. Complete waste of time. But it makes me feel better by exposing them here along with several similar expose-a-telemarketer websites.

Similar to other reports.  They called my business.  I answered and after a few seconds and no response on their part they hung up.  I called them back.  Their receptionist said she would track down who had called and have them call me back.  A few minutes later I received a call from a gentleman who said he understood that I had called them for information but had no idea who had called me and hung up.  He claimed to be based in Germantown Tennessee and was offering credit card processing services, payroll, etc. for businesses.  I asked for his business address so I could stop by their office to discuss these offerings and he told me it was a home based business and that a visit would not be possible.  I think it's a huge scam so beware.

Do not fall for this hoax! and Do not be bullied by their aggressive business tactics.

This is a very sly and clever bunch working for this cold call "merchant service" company. They were certain that we had prior business with them, and were rude in saying that we are mistaken. And "we will call back until we talk to someone who will listen." Silly me, but if I were trying to get someone to do business with me, arguing and throwing a fit would be the last thing I would do. The people calling from this number are punks. Quite embarrassing for them actually.

Do not just play their game, BEAT THEIR GAME! Make up a name and lie right back to them. Waste their time. Set up an appointment and send them miles away from you. To a drive thru taco bell in the middle of no where. Or your local police station, so they will get the idea that harassment is no joke.

They call everyday and soon as I answer, they hang up.

Called twice and said they were going to report us for not accepting the reimbursement.  i asked what reimbursement.  All she said was that she was going to report us.  ????  

I got a call from this number today. A nice lady at the other end asked to speak with the person with a merchant account. I told her, no one here has a merchant acount. She said OK then hung up...

She was so nice... I wonder if she is single... Seriously...

I just received our 4th call of the day from this number so I thought I ought to look it up as she seems pretty persistent.  Needless to say after reading these comments I went and talked to the person she was trying to get through to, we both agreed that they will not be taking her calls.  She seemed pretty nice but seriously calling at 1 hour intervals is going to annoy us (or anyone), we're a very busy company and I need to be answering calls from customers not tying up the lines for a cold call.

She said she was from the SBGA (Small Business Growth Alliance) and such to "Schedule a reimbursement review and have a gentleman come out and meet with us"

Any number that doesn't leave a message is a waste of time. My phone is for my business not theirs.

Received a call claiming to be our Merchant Service. I said no one was available and Erika gave me a return number to call. 866-644-0028. When I asked if she was calling about our account, she said yes. Then I asked what was the account number, she replied, "Merchant Services". I hung up.

It's a marketing cold call and it's from the "small business growth alliance" your "partner in progess".

so, all the history aside, who are they and what do they want ?

I received a call from this number this morning.  Refused to tell me his name or leave a message - said he was tired of leaving messages and nobody calling back.  He got noticeably more agitated and exasperated as the call went on, which was actually pretty funny!  All he's trying to do, he says, is introduce his company to the east coast and he doesn't know why it's so hard to talk to a decision maker.... (GO FIGURE!!)  I replied that if he was offering something they were interested in, I'm sure they'd call back.........  THEN he went into a rant about how he's been leaving messages with our receptionist and he doesn't know what she's doing with the messages, but they're *obviously* not getting to the person he's trying to reach.  I cut him off to tell him that I'm the person who answers the phone here and that it's the first time I've spoken with him, and he hung up right away.  Don't know what he's trying to sell but would never buy it from him in a million years!

Keep calling, shows up as "800 Service" on caller ID.  I claimed to not be the owner and after many prompts, the caller said her name was Nicole from the Small Business Alliance.

I got two calls right in a row. I called them back and they are supposed to take my number off of their list. Want to take bets on whether this happens?

They call from multiple numbers and are aggressive, implying that there is something wrong with a company credit account and their services include investigation of credit statements if you string them along. They appear to be a phishing scheme masquerading as a collection agency. They just hope you'll send them data opening access to your company accounts. So let them know you're recording for reporting to the FBI even tho the NSA has already recorded all their calls.

Asked for owner by name. Said he was with Merchant Services and asked if we had received the notice of our credit increase.
We do not have an account with them.
I am spending more time with these scam types of phone calls lately on the phone than with our actual customers.

I received a call today from Merchant Services of Kenosha. My secretary picked up first and asked him what he was selling. Nothing. So she turned it over to me. He informed me of the may increases for Visa and Mastercard and they would send out a solicitor/auditor to review my accounts and say how much I was owed. I tried to get him to confirm name as I was not familiar with them and after 5 minutes he told me I better watch how I talk to people and hung up. You just ensured I will never do business with this company ever ever ever buddy.

Merchant Services scammers.  They word their approach to imply that you already conduct business with them.  If you ask the right questions, carefully worded, to give them a chance to either come clean or commit to the lie, they will commit to the lie.  Make an appointment with them, and give them the address of the local FBI office.  The only way to get it to stop is to waste the time and gas of the people driving to appointments.  Be sure to give them a bogus name so when they call back and ask for that person, you can fall right into character.
