How did your son lose this money? did he give her any information?
And I don't really understand...what did she say she'll send him?
I think more and more people are being contacted by them, it's so scary.

a woman call my son and ask him which bank he have , she told he she came from Ottawa , canada ans she told him she will send him a send from another person  i thing that is a scamming . Do you know if we have a place or which dept we can call for thy to know what happen because my son lost more then 60,000.00 whith this kind of scam.

Number is being used now by Nigerian check overpayment scammers.  A woman with an American accent claiming to be from a company called "Financial Linx" uses this number.

Ben: Do NOT call them back.  That was probably a "phishing" call.  Call your bank in the morning.  They will let you know what's going on.  Give them the phone number, and let THEM investigate.

Phone rang at 9:20 PM.  Answering machine picked up.  Recorded message stated that my bank account was suspended due to several unauthorized attempts to access it.  Said to call 888-650-1840 to reinstate the account.  Called my bank instead and was told that this was a phishing attempt.
