yeah they keep calling and i asked my friend and she said it was probably a scam so i don't answer.

Don't Know why this company Keeps Calling me...

Saying MBROI, they said they are collecting a medical debt.  Then, kept on asking for my daughter's information.  When I started asking what company they are and which hospital they are calling about, the caller got rude and hung up, telling me to call back.  Highly likely a scam.  

I called this number back and got a man and I ask him to whom was I speaking to and the name of the company and he told me that I have to give him my name before he gave me that infomation.. I let him know that if you call a company and ask what the name of the business was then they give that to you so this must be no one at all and I ended the call..

A person said "Hello?" and that's when I hung up. It woke me up, too, so I'm extra bugged.

This company has been calling for months now(April 2012)- always going to my voicemail as I am unfamiliar with the number-most often my vm hangs up on it but once it recorded the identical message as listed above- " We are looking for "insert name", if you are not "insert name" please hang up now. If you are "insert name" please remain on the line. There will now be a 3 second pause for you to listen to this message in private.....(this is typically when my vm hangs up) and then, "This is an attempt to collect a debt, please call xxx-xxx-xxxx .All information collected will be used for that purpose."
I have ran my credit report and as suspected have no outstanding debts what-so-ever and will not be calling these people back - I believe this to be a scam and without being notified in writing I will NOT be returning these calls-and very likely be reporting this number to the Feds...I would agree with the wise people above-never give out info on the phone!!

Keep getting calls from this number to call back and asking for date of birth. They identify as MBROI.very adamant of not giving any information why they are calling. We informed if they have any debt collection to send in writing and stop calling. We have no debt to think of. Seems to be a scam

Received 2 calls.  When I answered both times I was hung up on.  So I called back on a land line and went through the same crap as SB (comments above on 2-Feb-2011).  She stated that she could not tell me the type of company she worked for because of HIPAA Laws.  I told the representative that if she could not tell me what her company does, then I was definitely not going to tell her any of my information.

This is a spam call. It started with a robo call that was practically unintelligable. Then you are to call the number back and you are put on hold. It is done to sound very legitimate but is a spam call to get information from you. Report them immediately before someone unsuspecting gives out their important data.

I just recvied a call from them asking my info and i wouldnt give it to them then i ask what these about and all he kept asking for is my birth date i said no so gave me a diff number call when im ready to deal with it i called the other tells me nothing that number is18003901031.Its nothing but bull crap.

888-653-6085 called this morning claiming to be "EMBRI" and when asked what do they do the person responded "a variety of things and until we get your information we cannot tell you."  I asked if it was a collection agecy - they said no and repeated "until you tell us your name and information we cannot help you."  DO NOT GIVE INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE UNTIL THEY TELL YOU WHO THEY ARE & WHAT THEY ARE CALLING ABOUT!  Don't call back on the phone number provided to you by them because you are still falling victim.  Instead, always get the company name and check your bills received to call them back on the phone number on the received bill.

I've received two calls from this number in the past two days. The first left a message, same as ml440, with strange pauses where the name should be inserted. I received another this morning and picked up the phone, said hello, heard an unitelligilble response, then they hung  up. I'm keeping a log of the calls and will be filing a complaint wth the Maryland Sate's Attorney's Office.

how can we get these calls to stop. they are always looking for someone else. i have had the same cell phone number for 9 yrs. now. they never call for me.

This company calls for a woman who had the number before it was assigned to us. The message says Press 1 if you are the target and hang up if you are not the target.

Unfortunately for the privacy of the targeted, the voice message machine does not hang up and collects the details of the call.

These companies could really use some employees who have some simple internet research skills, in social networking updating which numbers are assigned to which people. I have tracked this woman through Facebook and turned it over to collectors who are polite.
