The number called at 3:45pm and I picked up. After a lot of electo-static flipping about, a sure sign a 'robo-dialer' was going nuts trying to connect me with a live a***ole. The guy who got my call in that massive boiler room got a vengeful verbal tirade from me and said; 'You don't have to be rude and hostile.' I told him to lose my number becase every time I see that number calling me you are gouing to get nothing except the same abuse no matter how long you keep it up, so EFF U. Then I slammed the phone down.  

Even if they call again, It felt good to unload on these a***oles!

Pick up, then tell them to go EFF themselves. Hang up.

This "company" is not fit to be asking anyone for personal info...  They suggested I was calling and harassing them and that they were going to call the police and file a report.

I just told then to go eff themselves. They never called back.

If you had to do it three times then they must have not taken it as a legit threat.

Day and Night calls. Please STOP this!!!!

They called me today at 3:37 pm saying they have an important business message for me and press 1.  Then when I did, it was just music and waiting.   This is is a dumb scam or something.  I will ignore and change my phone to silent, or change my number.

If they stop calling, why do you get the chance to do this three times~? :-)

When they call, pick up, say nothing, then disconnect immediately. They'll give up on your number eventually.

The writing of letters will not work, the DO NOT CALL register is bogus, a complete sham, no one has ever been prosecuted because of complaints on the DNC register. You're on your own.

I called this number back and a woman came on the phone. She said she was calling on the behalf of Charter Communications, which is a cable company by the way. But it's very legit! Although they're not a real collection agency (I say that because they don't report it on your credit report), they work with the cable company to help get there money back. I had recently cancelled my service with Charter due to moving and they just called to make sure I was going to make my payment still.

I keep receiving calls from this number on my landline, when I made sure my creditors only have my cell (should I choose to let them know it) and numbers that have blocking capabilities and numbers I can let expire. As of today, I know I have a couple of account past due but know for a fact that the creditors would be using their internal collections department, not a third party agency. I have even asked. My account is not past due long enough to employ an external company to do the collecting.

As such, it has to be a scam to try and steal people's identities. If it was a legitimate debt trying to be collected, don't you think they would be calling multiple times a day (this so called collection company is only calling once and once only for the day, even internal collection departments of creditors call multiple times a day)?

A overseas operation w/ old resolved and successfully disputed  debt acting very forceful and going straight for payment - don't be fooled...! The call I received was a clear scam!

They called me early morning or later night. Very annoying. Sometime, I picked it up and kept quite, it had no sound. But if I said 'hello', it started to blalalala..... Stop Calling!!!

i have recieved 3 calls from this number 888-656-9294 on my cell in the last week. i have answered 2 of the three and all i hear is breathing no one talks. its starting to get annoying

These lousy A'holes call me for no reason. They are a bunch of lazy scumbags making money on other people's misery. I tell them to go fuk themselves everytime they call then slam the phone down. They keep calling and I keep up the verbal abuse and cut them off. I don't know what they want from me and I don't give a s. Fuk them.

Im a truck driver... They call me and i call them back over and over and let them listen to the radio with me.... They stop calling for a couple months... Then they call again.... Keeps me from getting bored...

I've been getting calls from this number for the past 4 or 5 months asking for Don Compton. I called back once telling a man that I was not nor knew a Don Compton. He said my number would be removed but now the calls keep comming the difference now is they hang up when the answering machine kicks in. After reading all these post I just try to ignore them.

Deb,  Getting a different number could be bad. About 5 years ago I changed number and got one that a drug dealer had before me. Wow! Talk about phone calls. I wont do that again.

Called the 510 number.  Got a lady who wasn't rude, but pretty in a hurry to get off the phone with me.  I told her I'm not the person they're trying to reach and that that person has never lived at my home number.  She simply said she'd remove my number and to have a nice day.

I said, "hold up... do you have my number?"

Despite her abruptness (the calls are being recorded, so her supervisors probably time her and her co-workers to see how quickly they can handle and be done with calls), she said she'd take care of it.  Now let's see if the calls actually stop.

just get a different number, then call your friends with the new number

This is a scam number which tries to collect a money from parking citation which you don't know about it. Never give it your credit card number for paying.
