Do what I do... send them a bill for your time and when they don't pay, send them to collections.  Most banking institutes don't like it when you do this and usually stop calling after the first bill.  I charge them 1000$ per call once I've asked them to stop calling.  It works for telemarketers as well.  Get the name of the person calling and their manager/supervisor and tell them they you will start billing them 1000$ per call for each of agent (the person calling) and their manager.  The calls will soon stop.

I work nights in nursing, this damn company calls OVER AND OVER AND OVER again, even if Im 1 day late on my damn payment ... things come up, Im sorry .. however the payment is ALWAYS made.

They just called my house at 7:34AM !!!!!!! .....  I just walked in the door and my fiancé was sleeping before he has to get up at 8:30 for his 90min commute to work ..... . He's now awake as the loud ringing phone woke him up, Im so sick of turning the ringer off so I answered the phone .... waited 6 secs for someone to finally say "hello" back ... and I nicely but sternly told them "It is 7:40 in the morning ... DO NOT EVER call at this time again" and hung up. .... . Im a nurse, Im very much in control and nice to everyone, but this is just insane.

Im in the process of changing banks altogether as I just cannot stand BMO and their B.S "Customer Service". Been with them for over 15years ..... and im DONE ....

I do not have anything to do with BMO and I keep getting these calls....care to explain?  I keep telling the person who is sometimes rude I do not deal with BMO or have a BMO credit card, but I still get these calls...When I go to BMO to complain they say BMO never makes these call?????who am I to believe someone behind a telephone or a bank manager?

BMO collections - i was wary at first but realized that they were calling about a loan that i had.

This message has called my house more than once stating it is a "personal banking matter" I am truly sorry but you are nothing more than a fraud and trying to defraud individuals of their hard earned money and their banking information.  If you were truly an individual working for the Bank of Montreal you would use proper English spelling of the words within the blog you posted, and how about some capital letters when you are typing out a message.

Called early Saturday morning and didn't say anything (even after I said hello 3x).
Then called back 15 minutes later

They are bankers, it's what they do after the whole Bank related ordeal over the past few years in regards to the economy.
For instance, 2008-2009 bailouts, of which they do pay back for it, but only 'most' of it, and the money they require to be bailed out, was because they were splurging on it all and printing additional money over time.

There is no other reason that the value of money in banks, would vanish other than them spending it.

Please people realize that no one can ask for your money unless they have a contract with their and your signature on it. Legit collections or scam artists alike, selling your debts to a third party is a fraudulent breach of contract. Please don't let these theives win by ignorance.

same for me. never been with BMO. but for my part they're always leaving a message saying to call back (it's a robot) "for an important question affair".

They are calling my work phone and claiming they are BMO - Bank of Montreal about an important business matter. I have not dealt with BMO in over 20 years and my work phone number is unpublished. This sounds very phishy to me

And why would they call on a holiday weekend?

They called at 9 a.m. this morning from 8886762269 (received several calls during the week as well)
when i picked up no one was there, and then they hung up
so i called the number back, bmo
when i reached someone, they asked for my phone number,  after several miniutes (i could hear paper shuffling)  they asked for my full name and address.
would not give it to them,  
they suggested i go to a branch to see why they called.

I just cleared out my caller ID log, they called my DNC land line 6 times last week

Phones every day. When I pick up there's no answer. When I call back I get silence.

They have a tracker system . How I know. well they calling about a person who is my close friend . he never gave my no to anyone  but use his personal no to call me. And this company Is using his call history. and from there they r calling me to get know about him.

They claim to be from BMO however I have never had any business with them. I have no outstanding loans or debts with anyone. Sounds fishy to me.

i do think its BMO but i for one am not late on payment on my student line of credit and they just called. I didn't answer as it was on my cell and didn't want to waste minutes on a number i didn't recognize. They didn't leave a message. which in conclusion I think BMO is stupid

Got a call from this number and it is BMO collections.  I verified this through the main BMO customer service number on my account.  They promptly transferred me to this number (department) so that I could verify if they had, indeed, called me today.  THEY DID NOT.  There was no record on my account that they had called me.

This is what the rep said:  It is an automatic dialer and apologized for the call.  That would explain why no one says anything when you answer the phone.

I did however, suggest that they investigate these calls and referred them to this website with the host of individuals who have received calls from this number for no reason.

Scammer and phisher approach - I bank with several banking institutions. I have had several late payments. They will leave a message and a contact number to call with identification of who(m) they are and what they are calling about.
Unfortunately much of your and my information is available online and available with a little digging... and can some info can be purchased. Such as who(m) you may bank with and more - especially from credit card companies who had these okays in the volume of pages you sign and agree to when getting a credit card.

When they constantly call and do not respond or do not leave a message then they are bogus. This number calls me on a rotating basis and NEVER leaves a message. My sister works for a Canadian Financial Institution and she has always advised me to let the phone ring. If a bank wants to contact of you they always leave a contact number.
Anyone on here leaving messages to the contrary is an employee of these false agents. Who would come on here unless to complain about the number - who else would come on here to contradict a number designated for complaints and reporting? A goon of those companies.

Valid call from BMO for missed payments on any of their credit products including auto loans as was my case.

This phone calls are made in order to annoy people so much that they would get nervous. It's all about psychology. Doing that, calling, hanging right as person says "Hi", calling back few mins / hours later it's just so people would be annoyed and do what they want.

Now stop complaining, do not answer phones numbers that are unknown to you or anonymous and you'll be fine.

This IS BMO calling...I got a letter from them in the mail because I was late on a payment and this is the number on the letter. Suck it up and pay your bills. Unless you don't have a BMO account...tell me to screw off haha

I have no MC, nor have I ever held any account with BMO.  They are on crack.  Maybe they need to verify the information they have prior to calling and threaten people that have never used nor will ever use any service offered by them.  At this rate I will be billing BMO and calling them for late payments.

I already checked out BMO website and this number does not come up on their contact us webpage. So people who think is BMO their clearly wrong. The j***-off leaves a message stating that their BMO and asking for my father to call back but does not state of it is about. So I researched this number at BMO website and does not show on their list. So Bingo I got this as*hole by using the call blocker. He can call all he wants and he will get disconnected on the first ring. It's people like this that need to get real job and stop pestering the elderly people that are most vulerable particularly when it my own family.
