I received a yellow mailer reading PARCEL PICK-UP NOTICE on it. Saying they would only hold the package for 72 hours. Nowhere on it did it say USPS, UPS or Fed Ex. Upon further investigation on the internet it looks like a total scam. Be careful guys!!!

Received a yellow postcard in the mail today. Tampa, FL area. Didn't order anything, so was going to look up the parcel number on the website and see who the sender was. Realized I didn't know which postal service it was since there wasn't a name! I wish they can find these people and put them on an island in the middle of nowhere away from civilization. What losers, get a real job, don't scam hard working people!

Just got that postcard today in FL....I was suspicious as I have not ordered anything so I was not expecting any parcel. I called the # but *67 first.. An automated voice asked for package # off the card..so I put that in..silence for a few seconds..then rang busy so I hung up....then googled this #...found what I thought all along..scammers....I guess they are getting lots of people blocking their telemarketing #s...so now they fill up the US mail boxes..SMH

I just want to point out here that this can backfire. Some spoofed numbers actually belong to real people or legitimate company's and those are also victims of this crime.

What would be fun would be to call from a pay phone, if you could find one!

I received this post card too, assumed it was a scam, googled to confirm and got here.. So how do we fill their mailbox with junk, make them run ragged and waste their time?

Received same yellow post card from West Palm Beach FL. Permit 1002 (same as noted above). Called the number, entered the Package # and then was on hold. Gave them 4 minutes and then hung up. No ID as to who sent it- even in the small print.

Mail fraud! Federal Crime. Interstate. Should be shot or hung.

P.S. it must be fantastically successful, for so many people all over the country to be receiving it. It's also first class mail, which is relatively expensive to send, even in postcard form. Wonder if they are renting their lists or just mailing the phone book. Doubt that many reputable list brokers would handle this, as there is potential for getting sued.

Just got one today. You are correct that they only need a small percentage of responders to make it worth their while -- especially since this is a postcard -- but would guess response is much higher, in the neighborhood of 3%, since this is at the very least a two-step (i.e., they don't offer a product to you unless you reply to this postcard) mailing. Would guess the product is very expensive, such as a condo time-share, to justify this relatively expensive strategy, involving mailing, inbound telemarketing and so fortth. The "android tablet" could be real but complete drek. One thing for sure -- to get it, you will probably,y have to consent to their calling you whenever they like, to badger you into buying their swampland time-share or whatever else it is they're selling. Surprised UPS hasn't sent them a cease-and-desist, since this mailing clearly is intended to delude the recipient into believing this came from Big Brown.

Got the same thing, Clermont, FL. Suspicious so searching found all these posts, thank you everyone

I received the same in Orlando, FL:
The stamp on the card says: West Palm Beach, FL Permit # 1002
If someone has time to do this; here it is a tip I found on "ehow" to track this ?uc?ers
Tracing Mail Permits
Take a piece of mail bearing a mail permit imprint to the post office and ask the postal worker to trace the mail permit number. You will need to verify that you are either the bearer of the mail permit--the sender--or the recipient of the piece of mail bearing the mail permit. Bring photo identification with you. The post office will be able to trace the mail permit number for you.

I was expecting a package from an eBay purchase made from China and thought it was related to that so I called the number and put in the code they knew my name but now they have my telephone number. realizing it was some marketing scam of some kind. I hung up immediately. I have call blocks on my phone so I'm not worried but will they sell my number to even more scum bags. technology needs to catch up with these dirt bags and turn the tables for consumers for a change.

Same card received today in Cecil Co. MD. Figured it was some kind of scam when there was no company name and trying to disguise themselves as UPS. Thanks for all the info. In the trash it goes!
| walt 2014-05-27 17:33:53 Unknown |
I got the same card today and since it looked like something from UPS, I called the number and was immediately placed on hold. I got suspicious and as I waited, I googled the number and found out this was a scam to get ID info. I immediately hung up, but from now on, if I get anything like this in the mail, I'm doing research on it first.
| lynn 2014-05-22 18:02:16 Unknown |
I also got a post card, called put in 12 digit no. Put on hold for 7 minutes to find out I won an android tablet. I hung up.
