I received an email from my craigslist listing of a motorcycle (just put it on 2 days ago!) Anyway the email wanted to know if my motorycle was still for sale and to call "Vance" at 866-276-8190.  I thought someone was interested in buying it, but then I googled the # and found out what it is.  Thanks....(boy they sure don't pay attention to the "not ok to solicite this customer" deals on Craigslist huh?)

Thanks!

and thanks to everyone above for saving me a call!

I received an email regarding a product we had for sale on Craigslist. I replied to the email and it was returned.  I Googled the phone number that was in the email (866-852-9712) and found this site.  The only information the email had was to call and they can help me sell my vehicle and to ask for "Clyde Miller".

Thank you everyone for your information.

Caller left message concerning my RV on Craig's List, so I called the # back thinking someone was interested in buying the RV.  Representative wanted me to list my RV with his company, National Motor Sales, for $199.  I told him I'd think about it and call them back later, he gave me a different number to call back: 866-276-8190.  He said his name was Alex Stevens.  Sure sounded like a scam to me.  I'm sure he'll be calling back, when he does he'll be getting an ear full.

I got a call from Reggie. He left a message that he needed to speak with me right away. He claimed that they had sellers who were purchasing vehicles at or above blue book value. He left a number of 888-689-8939. I did a reverse phone search on yellowpages.com. There is a fee to recieve the address and/or location for this phone number, so I did not look it up.

He said he saw my ad on Craig's List and he wants to help me sell my boat.  Call him at National Boat Sales, 888-689-8939.  I am not interested in such calls.  Googling National Boat Sales did not reveal a responsible company by that name.  If possible, I authorize you to block that number.

Same general information as all of the above.  Just a different persons name, thats all.  The guy that called me said his name was Bailey (i thought that was just a girl's name).  Left v/m saying that I need to call him back right away as he could get me top dollar for the truck I has on craigslist.  Glad I came here first to see that it is most likely a scam.

National motors sales called me and left a message, per, Van at phone# 7756248686. He said he saw my craigslist ad for my motorcycle, and said " Call me as soon as possible, because he thought at the price, he would take it off my hands." I called back and couldn't talk to Van, however phone# 888-689-8939 would be glad to advertise it all over the world, for $120. I asked them about the call from Van, and they informed me that they would try to get Van to clean up his act. The young ladie I talked to was so courtious, I just had to tell her to Go F*** Yourself. Craigs List is pounded buy the Google Get Rich Kwik By working at home scam, which I too got by email after posting my Craigslist ads. I appreciate the service Craigs list gives me, however I would love to meet these phoners on my turf, face to face! It would be UGLY!!! Thanks Robert

Same thing, RV for sale on CL. Call from a Troy, even though I have "Do not contact with commercial interests" Checked and I wrote it in the ad as well.
They said they are not commercial but a charity. I told them to, well since I'm from the Bronx, you can fill in the blanks. Scammers, thieves should all be hung in public!

This is off their site  "About Us" page
I bracketed a point of interest to you. I wonder what Google and CL would think of that wording.

"However, with the advent of the Internet and everything it offers the consumer, the market has changed dramatically. Put it this way: a year ago you most likely had never heard of CraigsList.com, and just a couple of years prior to that Google was just beginning to grow {(for the record both of these websites are part of our advertising network)}. The bottom line is that buyer exposure is shrinking due to increased multi-media competition and if you want to get your vehicle sold you?re going to have to compete!"

Just got the same call from 415-992-5431 by some guy named "Brett."  I blanked the call because I didn't recognize the number.  He left me a v/m saying basically the same thing you all have heard.  Told me to call him back directly at 888-719-9755 to get me full listing price for my personal car.....  I work in the car industry and know better than this nonsense.  Googled the info and landed here...

This is a scam boys and girls....  Beware....

I got this call, but am baffled.  You all have or have had items listed on Craigs list.  I don't have a thing listed anywhere for sale.  Wonder how he got my number.  The only thing that comes to mind, is my daughter emailed an ad she saw on craiglist to talk about a car.  Turned out that ad was a Scam and reported them, but I didn't give out any personal info whatsoever.  Why he is calling me is a mystery.  Hmmmm.  Weird!
