If You Call 1-888-692-5091, They Say That They Are American Asset and Arbitration, But When They Gave Me Their Alleged Website, It's TAC Resolutions...Hmmmm. What's Funny Is That When I Asked "Samuel Grayber" Where He Was, He Told Me That He Was Located In Staten Island, But They Have Offices "All Over The US"...But It Seems Like Everybody On This Blog, No Matter Where We Live, Received Their Call/Message From This Same Guy In "Samuel Grayber In New York LoL

Received Calls On My Personal Phone & At My Place Of Employment From Samuel Grayber. He Stated That It Involved "Breach Of Privacy Information" Regarding One Of His Clients. The Number He Left Was 1-888-692-5091. I Called It Back & Spoke With "Samuel Grayber" & Also A "Ms. Embre". They Both Stated That There Were Charges Pending Against Me For Check Fraud & All Sorts Of Sh*t Based On A Couple Of Payday Loans From 2-3 Years Ago. When I Advised Them That I Didn't Owe Anything, They Started Threatening Me, Then She Told Me That If I Didn't Think They Were Legit, That I Could Go To Their Website "http://www.tacresolutions.com/ ". Looks To Me Like A Phony Webpage Set Up To Further The Scam. I Called The Number From The Website & Spoke To A Guy & Asked Him If A Samuel Grayber Worked There, & Naturally He Said Yes. If You Google The Address From Their "Website" (535 Wild Avenue, 2nd Floor, Staten Island, NY 10314), It Looks Like A Shady Warehouse In Staten Island. I Think It's All BS.

How about giving us the name and address of this "company" you're talking about?  What was the issue?   And how, exactly was this "issue" resolved.

Right now it looks like you're some kind of a shill.  But of what, nobody really knows since these people refuse to give out any information as to who or what they are, or what they really want.

I have received more than one of these harrassing phone calls from Samuel Graber.  In order to stop what they are doing which is "collections" but NOT abiding by the FDCPA rules, we need to get their name and address, so we can file a complaint with the FTC and Attorney General.  The possible name I have is American Asset & Arbitration, but I have no idea where they are located.  The calls are threatening and intimidating, with threats of legal action.  Very upsetting.  I asked for verification of debt, but he said all I needed was the fact that I took out a payday loan.  I told him I wanted to see how much I owed (from 2011), so I could go back and check my personal records.  He said I could settle today for 300.00.  There is no way I would give someone on the phone my personal account or credit card information.  These people need to be stopped, but I cannot do it alone.  We need more information about who they are.

The first thing you do is tell your boss about the calls.  Print part of this thread to show the boss.  Tell him you had no contact with this pest until the pest started calling you.

I received a call yesterday at home and work. The number they called from is (202) 888-3695. Mr. Graber said it would be in my best interest to call within 24 hours to (888) 692-5091. I called this morning and the guy said American Asset (I couldn't get the rest). Said they're calling on behalf of their client Insight Capital, LLC. Wanted to know if I would voluntarily resolve this matter. I notified him that he should contact my attorney as I filed bankruptcy a few years ago. I told him I would be more than happy to give him my attorney's number and he hung up. Oh well.

Same thing happened to me.  I called once,  couldn't catch the name of the company, she was female and it was a recording that said they were closed to call back.  I called back again got a make voice recording with a name that sounded like tax or tmc, said they were closed.  I called back a third time and a lady answered.  I told her you keep calling and leaving messages for someone named Robin and that is not me,  could you please stop calling me,  she actually was polite and said that she would remove my number from "the files" I said,  "ok Thank you" and hung up the phone.

I just wanted to reiterate that if you happen to speak with them, do not give them your information unless they first confirm their own and it's determined this is a legitimate call. You are under no obligation to give out your specific details to a debt collector without them having first disclosed their firm and the specific debt they are calling in regards to.

I think they could be a debt collector, probably a zombie debt collector... which essentially they wait until your debt is on the brink of expiring and make mad desperate calls to get to you... I don't know for certain, but I have heard that even so much as an admission that you are John Q. Smith will reactivate the clock on any debt... so debt expires after 7 years... they can call you on year 6 day 364 and ask, "Is this John Q. Smith?" and if you answer in the affirmative as to your identity regardless if you even know what it's about, the clock gets reset on that debt for another seven years.

That's why I think they are so pushy about confirming who you are before they share any information... start the clock up again on your old debt.

I left the previous post from April 15th. Now the calls have escalated to two a day... I just called back after a call and got the same guy who does the recording. In the recorder he says his name is Samuel Graber, but when you talk to him in person, despite having a very distinct voice he says that he is not Samuel Graber and he does not leave VM's and he will not say anything else until you disclose all of your information to him. I asked who he represents and he refused to tell me the name of his firm or his client or any details regarding the call unless I confirmed my information first.

I explained that given the less than forthright nature of the calls as well as the unprofessional manner with which they had spoken to me that I didn't feel comfortable disclosing personal information to them. I also informed him that if he was a debt collector he was under a legal obligation to disclose that information and to forward me a confirmation of the debt which he again stated he would not disclose any information about himself, his company or client unless I confirmed my information first... it was just bizarre.

I don't know if this is a scam or debt... it seems it's a scam given how they so flagrantly disregard federal law and refuse to identify the intent of the call, if it's related to debt, or the company which they are working for and/or representing... and they themselves and in the recording don't state that the call is recorded... the whole thing stinks to high heaven... if he isn't a zombie debt collector than he's a con man.

If they're a debt collector they're obligated to:

1) Contact you only between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m.
2) Not contact you at work if they know your employer disapproves.
3) Not harass, oppress, or abuse you.
4) Not lie when collecting debts, such as falsely implying that you have committed a crime.
5) Identify themselves to you on the phone.
6) Stop contacting you if you ask them to in writing

The only thing they've done this far is call me within the hours of 8 am and 9 pm... I eventually had to contact Verizon and just have the number blocked from my phone account.

I received a pre-recorded call with a name inserted that was something other than mine.  I called this number back to inform them they had the wrong number.  The lady that answered the first time answered "Asset 'something, something'" but then I couldn't hear her so I said "Hello?" rather firmly.  She said "ewwww, you nasty!" and hung up on me.  So I called back and got the same man's voice from the Samuel Graber recorded message and all he said was "Good Morning" when he answered.  No company name.  I told them they had the wrong number and to take my number off of their call list.  He said ok and hung up.  I'm sure that's not the end of it.  *sigh*

So, Harold - how long have you worked for these scammers?  A company is bound to identify itself when asked - giving you their company name is not some state secret.  Refusing to identify the company does *not* protect YOUR privacy.  Oh, and if you couldn't tell, no one is buying your story.

I contacted this company yesterday evening even after reading all the negative information on here and other web sites. When I contacted them they explained all that was needed once I confirmed my information, the information they wanted was personal information about me that they already had but needed to confirm to be able to access my file accordingly. After all was said and done there was an issue that needed my attention and they were able to help me with this situation very professionally and I am glad that I made this call. I may say and agree with the above comments about how the person answered the phone and was very abrasive with verifying information but in the end it was only for the protection of my privacy .
