Not a call - getting a text message telling me that my cuwest account is frozen. I don't have a cuwest account. Another phishing expedition

I like to call and give them the Visa test number (4111-1111-1111-1111)
Then they ask for your expiration date and pin number. You know there are probably hundreds of idiots that fall for it.

I've gotten quite a few texts from this number telling me to call about my "Farmers and Merchanst" account - that's right, 'Merchants' was spelled wrong, also... big clue! And, I have never had an account with this bank anyways. STOP TEXTING ME!

If you do call the number, remember, the longer you can hold up the line the more they have to pay for the 800 service for the Per minute charges...
Of course they probably set it up with a stolen credit card, but the calls do go somewhere, and the larger the bill the more motivated the 800 service is to go after the real people that are getting and recording the numbers.

Receiving the text regarding account frozen, several times. didn't bother calling.
CU West on Google brings up a Credit Union West in Arizona, where I live. Their web page warns of fraudulent messages, calls, etc.
Wish people weren't so gullible and then these scams wouldn't have a chance!!

Same as many others - constant text messages, saying my "CU-West account is frozen". Text message came from 1-888-694-6735.

This is a scam. They send text messages to members and non members of the credit union telling the victim that their debit card has been blocked. When they call 888-694-6735 number, an automated attendant asks for a card number. Totally bogus...

This is coming through as a text message and asking for credit card numbers!! FRAUD!!
