Event Reminder
High pressure sales pitch to buy vacation/time share. It should be illegal for a company to gather entrants contact info and then try to sell you something that is not part of what you entered for. Info gatherers and sale harassers are what I call them.
Regardless of what you decide to do...buy or dont buy there are laws that protect you from buying. They are call time/vacation share recind laws that protect you from the high pressure sales tactics they use to get you to buy. They have to pay for your time and that is the promise of a "prize" or gas card to get you hooked into meeting them. They will not tell you that you have x-amount of days afterward that you can back out of the purchase....i.e. recind the purchase.
Dishonest people run this scam games.

Educator, you seem to be the idiot in your post. Please re-frame from talking down to people that have a legitimate concern. The sales pitch is a high pressured sales tactic if you take the visit/appointment. They are using the entry for a chance to win a prize as a contact list and attempting to sell another service than the one the entry was made for.

Dont fall for their scam. Time/Vacation share sales pitch.

You are a complete Idiot..
If it was a scam, do think they would have been in business for over 12 years??
Do you truly Believe That Place like Water country, Aguabogin or Storyland (All Place that Cater to Families and Children) Would allow them to place There contest Boxes in their Establishment if they hadn't done thorough background checks on this company?? do you think they would want their Name tied to a law suit?? that they would risk losing those "Vacation cash cows" by being tied to or affiliated to a Scam??? Are you a complete moron or can you at least dress yourself??
Go post something on a website that pertains to something you know about, Because this clearly isn't it...

Smarten up!! your "Info" wasn't snagged because you used a Credit Card at a movie theater!!!
Your husband filled out an entry form to win something in the lobby at the theater.. Probably a 4 wheeler, Jet Ski or Snowmobile.. it's a couples contest, so "Nick" knew your name because it was written by husband on the form along with the Phone number that he was calling you on!!!
It's a legit marketing operation, You sign up, they call you & offer you a bunch of nice gifts in exchange for you viewing a sales presentation... Go see what they have to say or don't but stop posting stuff online, when you clearly have no clue what you're talking about

They are not good people??
You entered a raffle to win something... and you're still in that drawing, They are merely offering you gifts to come in and view a Sales presentation, you are under no obligation to buy and it is Super low pressure & The you receive the Gifts you were promised for coming in right then and there!! no waiting, no mail in rebates, none of that stuff..
As far as the Credit Card charge goes..
Don't you understand how a Hotel works?? They are offering you a chance to stay in a hotel to help with you travel, Now let's be clear YOU DO NOT HAVE TO STAY IN THE HOTEL, you can drive 3 hours and view the presentation, receive your free gifts, take a shot at winning 25,000$ and then drive home.. but knowing that that's not a realistic scenario, they offer you a Hotel room to stay in. You leave a $50 or $75 deposit (depending on whether or not you're staying on a week day or weekend night) and they reimburse you $50 after you view the presentation, The deposit is to hold the room for you and to have a CC# on file for the Hotel in case you Rent movies, run up room service... burn the place down. Have you ever heard of "Incidentals"?
this form of marketing has been around for years & it's quite legit, people take advantage of these gifts and discounted hotel stays all the time... If you're not interested.. fine!!  But stop showing your ignorance but posting something on line about a Subject you clearly know nothing about.. had you taken time to listen to the person on the Phone, who called you, they would have clearly explained all this...

Folks, ...it's NOT tough to understand so please OPEN YOUR MIND and follow the steps.
A) You filled out a slip for a chance to win a random "Grand Prize" somewhere. (Mall, Fair, Event, etc)
B) They call you to verify your info on the slip. (Try reading the entry form next time, it explains it).
C) Once your info is verified you and meet their requirements you are GUARANTEED to collect a few items.
D) They invite you in to pick up items at which time you "trade" your time (90-120 minutes) for the items and learn about their company. No purchase necessary or required.
E) If you like...you buy. If you don't like...you don't buy. Make sense???
F) Get your items...have fun...go home.
G) Try "Googling" other large well known companies, I bet you can find all kinds of stuff on anyone online.

My husband received a call saying he had registered  at a Flagship Cinema. I asked my husband and he said he did not sign up for this. I asked "Nick" if my husband had won a prize and he said my husband would have to call the 1-888# to find out if he had won. The strange thing is the caller "Nick" also knew my name. What's up with this?
Very shady. Of course we are not going to call. We did use a credit card at the Flagship so it may be possible that my husbands info was snagged then.
Worrisome.
My plan is to contact Flagship about this.

The class YOU PERSENT thank god you never went! Save the gifts for people who are educated on what it means to receive a gift.

Same thing happened to me. They made me fell guilty for not wanted to drive 3 hrs to  get a scratch off ticket where I might win something. They never mentioned the motorcycle.   I was to be there with other couples, but I needed to make a reservation as the the time slots were very valuable. As the saying goes " Give me a break!"

I entered a raffle at the Fox Run Mall and this 'company' called to set up a meeting in some warehouse in Portland, ME.  Sounds sketchy.  They promise $30 gas card, just for coming, and 'more prizes'.  All I want to know is if I won the motorcycle in the raffle I signed up for!
