I received a automated "survey" regarding the candidates in the local by-election next week. The candidate list was misrepresented in an amateurish attempt to skew the "survey" results - I will be reporting the call to the electoral authorities.

Just received a call from this number. Didn't recognize it so didn't answer and no message left.

More Alberta Election crap. Get called at least 6 days a week

Alberta ellection spam calling- at least twice a day.
Who is behind these things? They need to be told to F*** off.

Constant phone calls during this Election. Very annoyed.

calls manY times a day & leaves NO message
Annoyed Receipient of a Robocall 2012-04-12 02:19:21 Political Call
Well, they were 16 minutes late with their call tonight! There goes my various theories on precision and timing of annoyance. I wonder what they did with those 16 minutes? Procreate? Develop conscious morality policy? Makeup for tomorrow night's television debate?
Like a Timex watch 2012-04-11 02:15:24 Political Call
Takes a lickin and keeps on tickin. These robocall units are using expensive military grade chips as the call arrives nightly within 30 seconds. My home thermostat doesn't keep time that well.
I'm with the previous poster....anarchy might be a better alternative to these persistent annoying calls. I'll vote for the first party to outlaw this method of electioneering. Remember the good old days when they would stand by the side of the road and wave banners.....maybe too easy a target these days?
Bruce 2012-04-11 01:57:49 Unknown
I'm still not convinced this is a particular party, or just a scam.
Nothing like being harrassed by politicians who seek the power to dictate their morality on you none the less.
Anarchy/suscession looks better every day...
JohnH 2012-04-11 01:23:01 Survey
I receive this phone survey every night. I usually hang up but tonight I answered I was undecided in the hope that they have an answer from me and will stop calling.
I find this phone harrassment an abuse of power. I am on the do not call list for a reason and would like my privacy respected. If I ever found out which party was asking for the survey it would cause me to vote against them any way possible.
It is also nobody's business who I vote for; that's why we vote in a private booth. My vote is my business and knowing how I would vote should only become clear on election day.
If anyone knows who is behind this invasion of privacy I would very much like to know to lodge my formal complaint.

I am sick and tired of getting calls everyday from the same number's. 18886972009 and 18004779205 they have gone way beyond harassment and they should be reprimanded for such annoyance.

Calls every day and leaves a silent voicemail. When I pick it up it's a robo call asking which party I'm going to vote for.
This must stop.
Albertan 2012-04-06 17:07:05 Unknown
receive calls every day, typically 2 or 3 per day, the last one came in at 8:57pm yesterday, no message is ever left...
Steve 2012-04-06 07:32:17 Political Call
These sorry sons of bi****s have been calling me at least twice a day for a few weeks. Recorded message saying they are calling from transcending boundaries, which seems to be some kind of gay and lesbian support group according to google. The message asks if an Alberta election would be held tomorrow, who would you vote for? Then gives a list of options. I called the # back and a recorded message says we're sorry but all of our customer support staff are busy please leave a message. I left one with my # and told them to remove me from the call list or I'd get my member of parliament involved. I still expect calls tomorrow. I hate telemarketers. My MP happens to be Stephen Harper, think he'd help me out? lol
If I knew which party paid for the poll I would make it a point to vote against them for spite.
Jane 2012-04-06 03:15:05 Unknown
I get these calls too, sometimes 3 in the same day, if don't answer I get voicemail flashing but no message left. Either I answer or I have another VM to delete!
Been on the no-call list for years but it's become more and more useless.

They call me every night about the upcoming Alberta provincial election. I just want to tell them to take me off their phone list.

It was so great to speak with Danielle again last night. She calls nightly and we talk for hours. I can almost set my watch by her call timing. If it wasn't for this election thing, we'd have nothing to talk about.
I can't wait for the next election when they outlaw these robocalls. Send me a Tweet...it's easier to ignore!
Siren 2012-04-05 06:33:05 Unknown
I get the same thing Scruffy. They keep calling my cell, I answer and they hang up. Very Annoying!
Sarah 2012-04-05 03:02:54 Unknown
We have received 4 calls from them in the past TWO HOURS tonight. Not to mention the 4 previous nights. This is getting ridiculous. My mother called back twice yelling at them to stop calling us, to remove us from their call list, etc.
Naturally "All our operators are busy, please leave a message"
I think if everyone calls at least once an hour it would hopefully jam their machines.
This has to stop.
Sue 2012-04-05 01:11:52 Unknown
I got this call. I only picked up to tell them to stop calling. As above they have called repeatedly and I am just sick of it. When I picked up, there was no one there... but the call was live so it was almost like they were there but just not saying anything.. kind of creepy really. SO glad I signed up for do not call...*sigh*

Had a great chat with Alison about what we are going to do after the Election. We'll meet daily for coffee and chat and talk about our feelings and maybe make a quilt and then go to a yoga class.
How's your day going?
Elections are so much fun.
Case 2012-03-31 17:23:00 Unknown
We have received 7 calls in 8 days...recorded message about a survey. I had been hanging up right away, but when they call again I will listen to the full message and see if there is opportunity to leave a voice message. If so I will request to be removed from call list. If the only option is to press a key...I will repeatedly press the * key. I've been told that messes up their system - not sure if it's true but it will feel good to try :)
not Michael 2012-03-31 17:16:54 Unknown
Most cell phone carriers have a way to block calls from a specific number. Ask your provider how.
Or put this pest in your contacts list and assign them the ring tone "no ring". That won't stop the calls but it will make them easier to ignore.
