Received unsolicited call from "Lauren" about government HAMP mortgage program. Caller ID said "Private Caller". Waited for an agent and told her we are on the Do Not Call List. She hung up on me. Called them back at 888-702-6948 (found the number on this website) and talked with someone who represented herself as a supervisor. She told me the company is Consumer Advocate Association, a non-profit organization, and therefore exempt from the Do Not Call List requirements. Checking them out...

Lauren called about the loan modification I asked for but didn't really. Caller ID as private number, as noted in the above comment. My mortgage has been done for quite a few years!

Received recorded message from Lauren stating she was returning my call, she was looking for people who have trouble with their mortgage and to call her back at 888-702-6948. I've never contacted any such company and my numbers are on the DONOTCALL.gov list. what a scam!
Register your phone numbers at the DONOTCALL.gov site and leave a complaint when ever Lauren and her friends call. https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx

Just called this a.m. Caller id UNKNOWN. Recorded message from "Lauren" per my request for mortgage loan modification information (same as others; I didn't request anything!). 888-702-6948 is the call back number on the recording.
My number is most definitely on the National DNC registry. My credit is spotless, and this call mentioned something about mortgage defaults. Telemarketer scum.

First I got a text from 951-314-9853 that said,
"Your job just got you $1100 for your bills! It takes just 5 minutes and your bills can be paid within 24 hrs- www.vipcashatm.com Approval code 0.20xxxxxx".
I sent them a text back saying that my cell # is on the "Do-Not-Call" Registry and that I was going to report their contact.
Then, about 20 seconds later I got a call from 888-702-6948 that I let go to vm and "Lauren" left her msg.
