"Ed McKittrick" from this number called looking for my brother, who has never lived at this phone number or address (he lives in another state) and wanted a phone number to reach him at. He would not tell me what it was about, just kept saying it was a "personal business matter". When I didn't give him a number, he asked me to give him a message with his name and number. Looked it up and found this page. Obviously, I will not be passing along the message if/when I hear from my brother. What gives these people the right to harass family members?! (This was not the first time he/they called.)

they keep calling my MINOR children cell phones, which come up in their own names,  harassing them about me.  They are calling during school hours.  

They constantly always leaving recorded message, but when I called back they said i wasn't even in their system... That's hogwash.

Called several times, doesn't leave message.  Blocked my number and called back, got the GRC.  Seems like a phishing scam to me.

thanks for all the posts... i dont answer 888 numbers, i google them. these people called me for the first time today, but i missed the call and got no voicemal. glad to see this thread here. ill post again later, as i intend to answer next time just to have a decent post.

I also have received calls from General Revenue claiming that I owe money on Student Loans, My student loans were all paid in full at least 8 years ago. I remember the day I made the last payment. Anyway, they insist that they are collection on the loan.

These people called me and left a message that I was in default of a loan to the University of Arkansas. I never went to the university.  I KNOW it's a scam

They claim to be from general mills but would not send me any cereal samples.  wtf!

Called a total of seven times so far and nobody is ever there and no messages.  I mailed them a letter certified with return signature receipt with a cease and desist letter and to contact me only by mail.  If they call after that, I am going to sue them.

They called twice today, back to back calls with no one there.

The called this morning right after 9am.  My spouse answered and said it was a wrong number.

This number called, but I don't answer numbers from toll free area codes.  Nobody here has any student loans.  If they try an horse doodoo with me, I have a lawyer already suing one telemarketing and we are gearing up to sue a second.  A third would be just fine with me.

These people call multiple times a day, every day, and never leave a message.  They are very threatening, abusive and rude.  This is debt collecting scam, do not answer their calls.

I received a call from these people, they were very rude and abusive.  They were threatening to garnish my wages, and take legal action against for not paying my student loan.  I told them I never had a student loan, and they started cursing me, and calling me a dead beat.  I hung up on them, and refuse to answer anymore of their calls.  After serving two tours in Vietnam, I went to school under the GI Bill, and worked the night shift to get my way through college.  I retired this past December.  I called the VA and asked them about the call.  They said they had no record of me owning any money, and they see where I had exhausted my GI benefits.  The VA said they do get a lot of complaints about this company.  I call the University I graduated from to see if i had any outstanding debt.  They said, "Gee, that was in 1972, we will have to search our records and get back to you."  Two weeks later I get a letter from the university saying a search of your records indicate that you graduated in good standing, no debt occurred.  As far as I am concerned this a debt collecting scam!  Be ware of this company, and do not answer there calls!

Called for my sister this morning despite her being moved out of the house for eight years.  Didn't say where she was from.  Just gave me her name, number, and extention.  Gonna throw the note away.

This company also operates under the number 513-605-7536. They called to say I was in default on a loan with the US Government. They have called so many as 4 times a day for what they claim is $6,000 I owe. They say "with their fees" the amount is over $8,000 now. They tried to get me to consolidate my loans through them and harassed me when I didn't return the paperwork in a prepaid ups envelope they sent. I was then told my wages would be garnished. According to the gov't, I have no loans in default. This company is ridiculous. They also seem to get very angry when you ask for any information about their company or proof of what they claim you owe. Do yourself a favor and investigate the claims for yourself.

Would not release any information until I verified my date of birth and last four of my ssn, needless to say this call didn't go well for them. I refused to give them any personal info and the caller hung up on me, when I called back I was on hold for five minutes not sure if this is a legitmate company.

They called my cell for my daughter and wouldn't identify themselves. She is an adult and hasn't lived with me for years. I wouldn't give them any information. B

I called back - they said they were General Revenue Corporation. They said my name was Justin something and I owed $2700+ from a school Susquehanna. First, I went to Berkley. Second, I had no student loans. So, then she started to update her records with MY number. I told her I am not Justin - these are NOT the brightest people in the world.

It may an outright fraud - I basically stated if she called back, she may as well call my attorney (my best friend) and not waste my time.

Have had (3) calls in the last couple days and they do not leave a message. Sorry but if it's important, leave a message. I do not answer 888 or 800 calls to my cell phone.

They called me at 2:28pm EST.  There was no voicemail so I'll assume it isn't anything important.

this number keeps on calling for my daughter and as her dad they won't speak to me.  they won't even identify themselves and will only say it's a personal matter.  sorry, when it comes to my daughter, nothing is personal.

They called me and refused to say where they were calling from and what it was pertaining to. They said it was policy, they couldn't give that out without me giving my name, date of birth or last four of social. So I told them i was not comfortable giving them that and that it was my policy not to give out personal info without knowing what its regarding.

Keep getting calls with a reference number. If a legit company wanted called back they would leave a better message. If it is for a student loan, I am up to date on the one I have. I haven't returned a call to this company.

This company looked up my neighbor in the local white pages and claimed to be "an old friend" of mine. Asked if she knew me or saw me and asked her to pass his phone number to me if she saw me.

"Jennifer" called from GRS and asked for me - at a company I haven't worked full-time for in years.
