Interesting. I got a cardboard letter in the mail asking for a change of address from "Department #1456" at PO Box 1259 in Pennsylvania. It doesn't say who I owe money to. Not that it matters, I won't pay them. Then there's a return address of 7575 Corporate Way in Minnesota without a business name given. Real shady.

So what happens when you call them? Just curious.

BCR - 1-888-714-2338 keeps calling and I am on a do not call list in Florida.  They do hang up when they hear the answering machine but it is still very annoying and they call at all hours of the day and night.

Caller ID is BCR  18887142338.  Its in Washington DC.  Bureau of Collection Recovery Inc., 7575 Corporate Way, Eden Prairie, Minnesota 55344 These are pond scum debt collectors for AT&T and ACORN based money thiefs for the Obama Cammpaign.

This number called looking for someone I do not know. I told them to remove my number from their list. We will see if it works. I am getting tired of this stuff.

I keep getting mail for a Donald C Clifford! he does not live at this address and never has.  He once lived on Anthony ext. but has moved with no forward address, to my knowledge he is employeed with pepsi co. in fort wayne, In.

I keep getting calls that say This is BCR please call (888)714 2338 and then they hang up. All calls rec'd are on Sundays.
The last one I rec'd was Feb.24,2008. They don't leave a message why to call them.
Can you let me know, if I should be calling this BCR back?

I am also getting harassing calls from this number. They are for someone who has lived here nor used this number in over 25 years. I started getting these calls in October & we've been telling them they done live here.  Not until I told them I reported the to the FTC they stopped.  Nor their calling again 2 or 3 times a day for the past 2 weeks. I am reporting them again to the FTC & I'm calling on the next business day to speak to their supervisor & tell them I reported them.      Thanks for letting me vent!

I too have been getting multiple calls a day from this company from ehe number 202-607-2806 asking for someone who does not live at my number. I will try report them to FTC.

In the past 6 days I've received 13 calls from BCR, using several differnt numbers. I asked when are they going to give up? The agent replied this is the 1st time I've called, B.S. I reconized her voice. The agent that called last night wanted me to verify the last 4 digits of my SS# he asked for my phone #, hell he called me! I'm messing with them now, I say good morning BCR how are the kids doing etc. I'm hoping they will get as tired of me as I am of them.

2010/05/12  The National Do Not Call Registry. File a Complaint with them.  Our  hours  of  operation  are  Monday  through  Friday  from  8  AM  until  5  PM  central  standard  time  again  that  number  is  1(888) 714-2338.        This was the Automated call I received.

hi, yea...I just received this mail yesterday. is from that same address you put down. saying if my address change, please provide informations. who do we need to report to if we keep receiving this kinds of mail or phone calls?

We have been getting these calls at the office, and it's annoying.  We are getting tired of this and are going to report them.

This number keeps calling here and they claim they don't know who they are looking for and ask for other peoples info

This is a debt collectoins company.  They buy OLD DEBTS from companys Like Sears, Cell Phone companys that have been deemed UNCOLLECTABLE and taken off their books.  They buy these debts for pennys on the dollar & call you and try to get you to pay.  Dont pay anything & dont sign anything because if you do it will restart the clock on the debt and you will legally owe them the money.  

There is another company out there called Consumer Recover Associates that does the same thing & their number is 877-311-7783 and a guy named Richard Scott will try to get you to set up payments with him & trick you into doing it so the clock restarts on the debt and they can legally collect that on you.  E Mail you Attorney General in your state and put in the letter that they constantly call you harrass you and that they have violated your FDCAP rights.  The Attorney General is obligated to send that company a letter and they will stop calling you. DONT PUT UP WITH THEIR SLICK TACTICS.

Some company called BCR keeps calling my cell phone all the time. The exact message is this..." Please contact BCR at 1-888-714-2338. Our office hours are Monday thru Friday Central Standard Time. Again, our number is 1-888-714-2338." They call me at all hours, from noon, to dinnertime, to 3 in the morning. I get these calls almost everyday. I am never there to actually answer the call, so I don't know the number they called me at and it never shows up in my call history. I am a teenager and don't have a job or pay any bills, so there is no reason I should be getting these calls. I have been on the National Do Not Call list since I got this number 3 years ago. They are the only strange number that still calls me. The person who leaves the message sounds like a middle-aged woman. The message sounds the same every time, so I believe they are using a recording.

This company have call me three time today. I have contact them. They want to speak to someone who do not live here. They said they would remove my number for their list.

THESE PEOPLE ARE HARASSING MY 90YR OLD MOTHER AT ALL HOURS OF THE DAY AND NIGHT.  IT NEEDS TO STOP.

2010/05/12  Received multiple calls on my new Tracfone from this number. As I use Google Voice I had the last call forwarded to my Google Voice mail and Transcribed. I am on the National Do Not F***ing Call Registry, and it is unlawful for a company to have an Automated machine call and leave you a message. I filed a complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry, provided them with a Transcription of the call (Thanks Google Voice!) and hopefully the A-holes will get Notified. The Transcription was as follows:
