We are going to refuse it.

Got a phone call like this at my company yesterday, sob story about a divorce, 4 boxes of 2" tape, was referred to me by someone at my company (they gave the name), Niki Larsen will call me to set up delivery: 855-384-5008
I didn't give any info or authorize a shipment, didn't give our address, but I see from some of these posts that may not stop them. Wow- we didn't win a free radio this time, either!

Same exact scenario, terrible divorce, the whole thing, Goodman family liquidation . .  except that Nicki Larsen's phone number was given as 855-344-0500, extension 11.

I fell for this . . . 20 minutes later I mentioned the call to the president (whose name they had correctly) and he never heard of the guy whose brother was liquidating his company, etc.  Will now have to have the warehouse refuse the package . . . amazing the level to which people will stoop to sell packing tape.

Dang...these guys can really stick to a script! Same call, sames names, same emphasis on the "E" in Larsen...the only difference I can see is the fact that they offered me two tape dispensers free of charge! I told "Nicky" that I would check with our shipping department to see if they needed tape and that I would call her back. I smelled something fishy, started googling, and found this thread...I hope Ms. Larsen doesn't hold her breath.

just letting everyone know this is still going on..... dr chuck said personal call so i took it. he said he  spoke with president (mentioned by name) and said to get with me. nicki larsen would call back to double check shipping address... i asked if she would be letting me know on price he said yes its about half of what he paid for it.... i said ok. then i talked to pres and she said no she hadn't. started looking up on line. when nicki called she said she was with silver linings liquidations and so i googled it. this came up so i told her that i spoke with the president and she knew nothing about it so we were not interested... hopefully we dont receive some crazy expensive tape...

Same call to us. Don't call back unless you like expensive tape

Guy has called 4 times a day for over a month. Now he calls my call center to be connected and I have to tell them it is a scam. He then calls back 2 more times.

EVERY DAMN DAY.

Same thing, BS call...STAY AWAY!!!

Just got the same pitch, but with the name Micky Larsen for call back.

Got the same exact call almost word for word.

Do you know how they shipped there product?
I can refuse it if I know how its coming.

I just got a call from them today.
I didn't agree to anything and they said they would call me back.
I stepped away from my desk and when I got back there was a voice mail from them saying the tape would be shipped on monday.
I called them back twice telling them not to send the shipment but all I got was a very low quality answering maching.  "Amazing no ones in the office when I called back 5 mins later"

Does anyone know how they ship there product?
If I know ahead of time I can refuse it when it arrives

This company doesn't even telemarket!  They call you and ask to confirm your shipping address then they send you a $400.00 Box of tape and a bill!  
TOTAL SCAM!   WATCH FOR THE BILL IN THE MAIL IF ANYONE SPEAKS TO THEM AT THIS COMPANY (Goodman Family Liquidation)!

I received the same BS phone call today from "Chuck Goodman" regarding the "Goodman Family Liquidation" for his "...dear brother going through a terrible divorce..." "Chuck" claimed that he had spoken with my company president and provided his name.  He said that the company president referred him to me, the purchasing agent for our company.  He went on to say the company president was a dear friend and that he had agreed that he would be interested in some 2" shipping tape that was sold in lots of 4 cases, 36 rolls per case.  I asked for the company name and he said it was "Discount Shipping Supplies, Inc." and that his brother's secretary, Nicki L-a-r-s-***E***-n would be calling me later to confirm the delivery address for the packing tape.  "Chuck" said that Nicki could be reached directl at 888-716-0007.  When I asked for a way to contact Chuck, he said I could contact him at 800-998-3780 and his "head nurse" would take a message because he would be on-call all day.

If it smells like crap, it probably is.

The number I posted this under is the number that was given to me for the liquidation company...

"Bill Schmidt" called me today. Claimed to be a Dr. and an 'old family friend' of my boss/company owner. "Bill" told me his brother is liquidating his shipping company and that Nikki Larsen (Bill made sure I knew it was Larsen with an E) from the liqudation company would be calling me. He was trying to sell me four cases of 36 each of 2" packaging tape for $2.99 per roll. "Dr. Bill" gave me his number of 800-998-3780 which goes to an ATM company. It sounded fishy...I didn't give him any info. No one here knows him. STAY AWAY!!!
