From  888-716-0010 - asking for Ronald Gomez, with an important message if I was Ronald Gomez, Press 1, if not available Press 2, if this is not Ronald Gomez, Press 3.\

I never Pressed any number, figured I would stay on letting the message repeat itself...and until there was silence.

I have received numerous calls from this number, this was the first time I answered and listened.  I thought about Pressing Option 3...and see if that would stop the calls.  But decided no....let them keep calling, I have the option to not answer or pickup and let them repeat themselves.

Stupid People with nothing better to do than Hassle the Consumer...one day you would think the Phone Carriers would get their act together and stop annoying calls, give us the Power Option to Press 555 to block last number.  Oh well, maybe by the 22nd Century.

As regards a "company" doing business in ANY state, in particular, a corporation, if you want to know
"WHO" is thier agent for service of process, just log on to THAT state's , let's say : CA/gov, Secretary
of State's website, type in the company's name, and you will get the name of the AGENT FOR SERVICE of process. This is good for whoever is serious about sueing a harassing collection agency.

if a company i owe money but default,  after a reasonable amount of time trying
to collect the amount i owe but does not  and writes it off as bad debt, as a business
loss and gets a corporate tax credit for the entire amount, than turns and sells the debt
to a collection agency and pockets the money---however small..... isn't  "double dipping"?        Ditto with the collection agency.  although they may have bought the bill
five cent on a buck,  after trying to collect and get nowhere...  takes the full face value
of the bill as a business loss--that is the amount they lost, irrelevant how much they
invested in buying it........   out of their taxes as a business loss and turn and sell the
bill to a..... aren't they "double dipping" too?    heeeey.... how do you get in this
not-double-dipping business?   looks like it has potentials.........LOL

I kept getting calls from these people for days asking for some Sheila Hashur, who I've never heard of. I finally called their number and they hung up on me twice when I told them to stop calling me. Third time, a nice lady answered and they promised to stop calling within 24 hours. I'm on the DNC list as well. I think that they are a collection agency?

Got yet another call asking for someone who doesn't live here by this company.  They only give the choice of pressing 1 if you are the person, 2 if not the person, but she lives there,  or hurry and get a pen to write a number to call the company if they've got the wrong number.  If you chose 1 and are not the person - click.  If you try to hang up before the recording is done, forget it.  No making another call until it's finished.  Finally wrote down the number and called.  The person who answered immediately asked if I was the person they were looking for by name, when I said no, she apologized and said the number would be taken off the list in 24-48 hrs, but to expect another automated call today.  Yes, it is a collection agency. The number previously came thru as unknown/private, but today was an 800 number which has a long list on 800notes.com

They called me today looking for someone who they claim gave my phone number. I told them that I've lived at my current address for 33 years and that no one lives here. I gave them my number so that the calls would stop. When I hung up, I could not get a dial tone back. I called them and spoke to a supervisor. The supervisor was nasty and told me to have fun trying to get my phone back in order. His name is Adam. I called again and spoke to a Miss Green. She was polite.

I don't need them to tie up a phone line. I have an ill parent who just returned from the hospital. This could have been a dangerous situation had I needed to use the phone in an emergency at that time. Adam had no business to speak to me like that. This animal should be fired. How would he like if he were in my situation?
Something has got to be done to protect people from this. I am on the Do-Not-Call list. The latter list is a joke if I can get a call like this as well as solicitations for donations.

They keep calling my number asking for a woman with the same last name as mine. I have no idea who this woman is or why they have my phone number for her. I've been the only person in the household with this number for 10 years. I even have answering machine set up to say "you have reached *****, if you are not calling for ***** hang up, you have a wrong number". They still leave recordings.

I get at least one phone call a DAY/NIGHT from these people for someone who does not live here and I have never known.  I called and spoke with Sam Badio who says he was "sitting peacefully at his desk before I called to complain"  I explained that I am not the person they keep calling for and that I am tired of being harrassed by them numerous times a day.  I explained I am on a DO NOT CALL LIST, but Sam says, "we are not telemarketers". PLEASE, SOMEONE STOP THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!

yep - I get calls for Helio Castro, and to call 888-716-0010. Mine only come once a day or so every now and then so maybe Helio's a good guy. Kidding.

Called Calvary direct number (from website - thanks JG) and went to customer service. Spoke with "Eddie" at 23200. Told him I am not Helio Castro (look him up on the web, this is a joke?) Anyway, told my nbf Eddie to take me off the list, congratulated him on his scam, and that we will all join in notifying the FCC, the DNC people, and our telephone co. of this harassment. If I get further calls, I will send them a cease and desist letter with copy to State Attorney General and the FCC.

DO NOT give these people ANY personal information when you call. Not even your first name. You owe them nothing. If the mood strikes, tell them politely to take your number off the list and then keep meticulous records of their calls/frequency. Also wouldn't hurt to check your credit history.

I was discontinueing my service way back in 2005 with AT&T. They determined that they were not going to issue me credit for my deposit until I paid the balance. I explained that I would not pay unless they gave me credit for the deposit. I told them that the minute someone wanted to work this out with me I would pay up. Nobody ever called. Imagine that. Now, these people call claiming that they are going to ruin my credit if I don't pay them.  Well guess what, they ALREADY reported me to the credit agencies, BEFORE they even called me the first time. So now, why should I pay them?  AND to add insult to injury, AT&T sends me about three pieces of junk mail a week - to the same address - wanting my business back!!!  That'll happen!!!

Yes, this is from Cavalry Portfolio and they are a collection agency.  They use the following numbers:  800-861-5065, 866-469-7329, and 888-716-0010.  I am going to see a lawyer tomorrow about them, because I do suspect they are shady.  They bought up an collection account in my name (it was the result of id theft) which was old enough that the entry on my credit report has already dropped off, but yet Cavalry has done multiple inquiries in the last year and a half.  I refuse to talk with them about something that I don't owe.
