My new solution to these annoying freaking telemarketers?  I bought 2 air horns...you know the kind you use at ball games or on a boat.  I keep on on the end table by my recliner and one on my desk (i work from home).  When one of these scammer/spammers calls me, I BLAST the air horn right into the mouthpiece of the phone for a count of three.  Maybe making their eardrums bleed will get them to finally take me off their damn list.  

Then i bought a "silent" ringtone for my iphone and every one of these numbers that i get to blast, I add to a contact in my iphone called X, XX, XXX (till it gets full, then create a new one) and I assign that contact the "silent" ringtone so next time they call i don't have to listen to the phone ring!

I DIDN'T APPLY FOR YOUR FREAKING LOAN, I DON'T WANT TO BUY A CAR, AND I DON'T NEED YOUR FAKE GOVERNMENT GRANT!!

They've recently been calling me as well.  I tried to call the number back, immediately after speaking with one of them, and was informed that this number cannot be completed as dialed.  What a load of B.S.  

I was informed during my call that I had been approved for the auto loan i requested.... Funny thing, I never requested one.  I also mentioned to the dumb S.O.B on the other end of the line, that if they wanted my attention, that they would need to refine their use of the ENGLISH language.  I was abruptly disconnected after that.  Im going to find a way to get back in touch with these people. I cannot phathom how the F.C.C would allow this type of malicious communication to continue.

Keep getting calls - when I try to return the call the number is busy.

We keep getting calls from this same number every morning early ever single day of the week, we call it back and get a recording that the number is no longer in service, how can we stop them from calling?  Getting sick of the calls.

This is a scam, calls nonstop all day long regarding a loan. Calling from india because their accent is very heavy and have to ask them to repeat themselves. When asked to repeat themselves they get very upset and hostile with you, so I hang up the phone but they keep calling. Now, I don't even answer the phone.

got calls from this number 6 times in 4 hours no message and 5 other numbers that are non existing. no messages.If you dont reconize area code dont answere

They keep calling at 6am. Finally I answered and told them to stop calling. The guy told me he's going to call everyday a couple times a day and hung up on me. I wish I could strangle someone through the phone!

I got a call from this number today 8/30/2012 but did not answer it, i have been getting calls from all kinds of numbers since being scam out of five hundred dollar. if you are getting calls from numbers you do not know don't answer them better yet put them on your reject list if possible, nine times out of ten these are scammers. BEAWARE.

Yes, I get a call from this number about two time a month, saying that I have some kind of legal action against me. When I tell them to send me paper work about it they either hang up or say that the police will be coming to my job or home to arrest me.  I tell them that can not happen and that they do not know the American lay system.

If you have no other way to get them to stop calling you...wait until the middle of the night and give them a dose of their own medicine during their night hours.  so sick of this crap...getting ten to twenty of these calls a day...this one is international and used the prefix 011 and then that number.  Idiots...why they are allowed to get away with the is besides me...they need to be stopped. Im on the do not call list and owe no one...these idiots get our numbers from somewhere. The sellers of numbers need to be stopped too perhaps that will end this crap.

They sell your phone number to telemarketers. As soon as you place your order their telemarketing department goes right to work, calling you as if they are rabid dogs; 3 or 4 times a day for weeks. Be sure to read their privacy policy. They are allowed to sell  your contact information to 3rd parties and believe me they do. They have ruined my life as my phone number is now being sold and resold again to various telemarketing companies.

Then you need to return the favor. Keep calling them and use annoying music blaring into their phone....hang up and do it again over and over..they will take the hint. Nothing else works with these idiots but a dose of their own medicine...u have to be persistent just like them, harass the crap out of them, they will stop. You MUST be pro active with these idiots...truly it is the only thing they understand...they don't like it either, so tie up their lines too.

You know, I just bought a brand new car, and then suddenly am receiving continual harassment.. via the phone by various long distance numbers...about ten to fifteen every damn day..no one answers. So my question is, how in the hell did they get my phone from the bank or the auto center? This was a brand new car from the lot and a bank. So what's up...the banker's now giving out our info to idiots abroad or what? Get even with these idiots by calling them back repeatedly with horribly blaring music. This is the only thing that has stopped these  annoying calls, but am concerned they even got my number in the first place? What's up with that? Only me, the auto place and the bank involved here so what gives?

It is extremely frustrating to receive numerous calls from these dumb chits...they are in foreign countries and use a robo call center or something so that they can repeatedly call your number by using various different numbers, usually long distance. They do not answer when you call them back. This is purely malicious BS.

The best way to end this since the phone companies will not or cannot stop it is to give these pieces a s*** a dose of their own medicine. If the phone number shows up on your ID...then here is what you can do...when you have time, find the loudest most screaming music you can and then sit down and go down every damn number they called from and start calling them back repeatedly with that music turned up! Continue doing this several times for each number that called you...they will get the hint.  Started doing this myself and has eliminated most calls coming in now. Aaargh, these retards are idiots, this is the only thing they understand...do it right back to them!

I received three calls today (after having been called several times in the past.) They ask for someone by name - who is a person who had my number three years ago. I explain I am not her and do not know her (but don't give my name.) Then they try to con me into a loan.  I say I have no debts, don't want a loan, am on the donotcall list,

They always speak with a foreign accent. Some of them have been polite, and said they would take me off their list immediately, but they obviously don't. Others just hang up abruptly.  Today was the worst when they called three times (the first person polite, the other two hang-ups.)  So I just finished reporting my compaint to the DONOTCALL list.  If you are registered on this list, please file a complaint too - they need to hear from a lot of us, then they may do something about it (I gave them the phone number and the web site from comments listed above.)  If you aren't on the list, I suggest you register at https://www.donotcall.gov/

The same thing has happened to me previously.    Your whole scenario sounds so familiar.   If you have an Android based cell phone, download the free version of NQ Call Blocker.   It works wonders.  I do the same thing.....will not answer a call I don't recognize the number from.   I look it up on here then, and if it's scammers, telemarketers, etc.    I BLOCK THEM!   :)

I just re-financed my auto loan....with a legit company.   Don't think I need another auto loan!   Call my cell phone and leave no message.     Android based phone.....Call Blocker..........they are now on the Blacklist...no more calls from this number!!!   And if they change to another number, just keep adding them to the list!   IDIOTS!  UGH!!!
