You need to tell TMobile to go away and you need to find another carrier.  The same crooks hit me up last month for 9.99 and when I called Sprint, our carrier, they Immediately reversed the charge.  Unfortunately, they also said that they could block the crooks, but this month, the bums did it again!  At least I'm getting my money back.  Dump TMobile!

I was reading the posts and rian's response. It's a pity that people like him take advantage of others. I'm really surprised that ATT&T allows this and do not address it. I would like to join some class action so we can take care of losers like these, who can't work honestly, but only live from scams. I didn't monitor my paperless AT&T as closely as I used to, because I had good rapore and also my husband passed away, and that's when these lowlifes swooped. We all have to e more vigilent. It's not the $20 - 30, but the fairness of the matter. I pity this Brian from not getting this. In the end he and people like him are trully the losers. Scammers always get scammed in the end.

I have been receiving these annoying, sexually harrassing text messages from LoveGenieTips too. They come from the short code phone number 836-60. I NEVER subscribed nor took ANY action to receive these SMS messages, and I DO NOT WANT THEM!! I had never even heard of LoveGenieTips or SMS subscriptions before my phone spontaneously started receiving them due to no actions of my own. Even more infuriating, I discovered I am being charged on my cell phone bill for this annoyance!!

After being fraudulently charged by this company, I researched them online.

On their website at http://www.lovegenietips.com/ they write:

   "By signing up for this service and entering your personal PIN Code
   delivered to the cell phone number supplied by you on this website,
   you acknowledge that you are agreeing to the full Terms of Use."

I never signed up or sent any PIN number, yet I am still being charged for this useless service.

What an outrage. How is someone supposed to prove such a negative? It would be easy for a company to submit fabricated logs showing you signed up. Apparently spoofing the source of an SMS message is easy to do.

Any wonder why carriers don't take action against these scams?

Call your cell service provider and DEMAND they cancel your SMS subscriptions and tell them to put a password or purchase block on your account so that other scammers can't pull the same con on you again.

i have called to UNSUBSCRIBE from this b.s. that i never subscribed to and talked to 4 different people since april 25th, one was VERY rude and said she saw no calls to the number i gave her and hung up, said her name was valerie, the others were at least polite while they said we'll let  THE COMPANY know, i said 'who is THE COMPANY and they would not tell me.  maybe it's the wizard of oz????

Parents beware there is a site lovegenie.com where your children can enter your number, or any person for that matter thinking its funny and your easily signed up for this site without your consent.

I have been charged by this number for the past 6 months. I think this is a fraud by ATT only. When I spoke to the ATT call center they said that anyone can give the phone number to these systems, and they can charge you. ATT has no protection against it. For that you need to get a purchase protection, where you get a 4 digit pin, and thereon if anyone charges your account att is not responsible. I dont trust this either actually.

I have a Verizon business account and i received a text message today stating that i was subscribed.  I called Verizon and they stated that each company that sends premium texts needs to register with the phone companies.  This is how they weed out malicious ones.  Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be working in this case.  At any rate, I was able to have them turn off premium texting on my phone and refund the money.  I can't really see a reason i would ever need to receive texts that cost me money.  Hopefully this is the end of this crap for me.  I have an android phone and was suspecting it was from something i had downloaded but who knows.  I never give out my phone number!

Just received a text message from 888-725-5643 regarding a subscription which I have no knowledge of.  Called the number and they asked for my cell #.  I did not give it to them and did not call on my cell as well.  I hung up.  I suspected it was a scam.  I am going to call AT&T on this matter.

I've just been scammed by that %*(#$#(#@ company!   I don't text on my phone and have tried to have all text messages blocked, as I get billed for each one, even ads.  When I see them, I just delete them - apparently this one required a response !  Bas*ards!  I got busy and couldn't get to my online bill for a couple of months, and just had automatic payments pay my bill, but apparently in just that time, the $9.99 shows up each month, and I now have past due  charges !!  I had TMobile block the charges, block the texts, refund one of the charges, and the 888-725-5643 number promised to issue me a check for the other one... AAARRRRGH!!

By the way the same thing happened to me. Never signed up for it and have my bill paid through AT&T automatically. Something tells me AT&T are very aware of whats going on, especially since they won't credit more than three months. I was charged 6 months before I caught on. Really!?!?!?!
AT&T you claim you care about your customers and then you stiff them for invalid charges. Someone needs to get the attorney general involved in this. Such b***s***!

Just got this text tonight at 7:45, and no I didn't sign up for anything I was at work when the text came.  I called them on my way home and got the "refund check" going.

I'll be calling AT&T tomorrow to see what other kinds of blocks I can put on this type of crap.

I too was signed up this evening and was notified via text! Was shocked! The disturbing part about this is that I am the victim of a stalking and invovled in a civil case right now, and I wonder if I am just the victim of a scam or if this person (that I never knew before the stalking began) has done this to me. Never had a problem like this ever before - terrified to tell the truth. When I phoned "Love Genie", got their supposed 3rd party billing dept, and they claimed I would be issued a refund check! I will be calling ATT in the morning! Very very upset! This is wrong on so many levels...  Aside from the issue that they are scammers, this scamming creates additional fears for a person like me who is being stalked!  I'm very very angry right now and scared too!
