I have been receiving calls like this for months the latest one decided to switch to a local number rather than the usual 800 or 888 or 855 numbers. The number was 515-478-3426 who called May 22nd and the man on the phone said he needed to verify my address and I asked for what and he said he could not answer that but would transfer the phone call to some one who could. I Immediately hung and called the clerk of court office and asked if I had any pending cases and explained what was going on. The clerk told me that I had no pending cases or warrants and if I was going to be served no one is going to call and verify anything they will just show up. She also stated that it sounded like  scam and not give or verify any information over the phone. I also called my local attorney general's office and spoke with an investigator who said the same thing as the clerk and stated that it is in fact a scam no one will call to verify any information and to not accept any of these phone calls.  I also got a message today May 28th from a woman now wanting me to call a 855-241-4321 to clear up the matter or they were going to proceed further. I really wish these dumb a** calls would stop!!! UGH

Call also came from my local area code: 267.  The number in which the call originated from was 267-293-6345.  A man proceeded to leave the same message as mentioned above about calling the company back and issued a claim number.  They never once left the name of the company or their name.  They also asked me to call the 888-727-1325 number back to discuss how I would like to settle this........  

Call came in from my local area code.  Left a message saying to call this 888#.  Gave a claim number.  There was just info on the news about this scam.  I'm not calling back.  I do not owe anyone any money and payday loans are illegal in NC.  They wouldn't be able to pursue me even if it was legit.  Very annoying!

This is a scam. I got call also from different # then gave me 888#.

I received a call from a 931 area code which is area code I live in.  I never answer #'s I don't recognize and let them go to voicemail then if legit I will call back. But my daughter had just started a new office job and though it was her. The man said I owed a payday loan from 2011. I knew I hadnt . He wanted to know how I wanted to resolve this. I ask for name of loan company. He said he had to transfer me. Another man came on and first thing wanted to know how I wanted pay this with visa or master card. I told him I wasn't paying anything without proof, which I knew they didn't have, to send me documents I would compare with my bank. I ask for loan company name he gave me a name which I looked up at the end of call and it doesn't exsist. He said I owed $320 which included interest fees. Told him not paying anything without proof. He just kept asking how I wanted to pay visa or master card. I bet he ask me that 15 times everytime I'd ask for info. Then he ask me how short I was on the amount that if I paid $200 he would put other $120 off for 60 days. When I repeatedly told him I was not giving card info that I wanted documents he gave me this 888 # if I wanted to resolve this before the end of the day then he told me since I did not want to resolve this that day he could no longer help me. Said good day and hung up. I contacted BBB and they said any legitimate business will send documents. Don't fall for this.

Message left on my voice mail to call 888-727-1325 back in regards to an order that was submitted to her (Ashley something) office and I had this one opportunity to call. She gave a claim number, I could hear a male voice in the back ground. The call originated from 865-264-2407, when I called that number back a voice mail picks up saying in a male voice "this is a investigation office, do not leave any messages". No identifying information stating what company or anything was ever said. I think this another scam, I am so over this crap!!
