Do not give them any account numbers.  I have been sued before and this is not how it goes  down.  This company is not ligit!  Believe me.  If you owed money and they really are taking you to court you will be served papers no fooling around.  None of this phone stuff.  The companies that serve you with papers will not contact you at all because they are hoping you do not respond to the papers so they win by default and they are also hoping you do not show up in court so they also can win by default.  This is just a way for them to scare you into thinking you are getting sued.  It is very costly to take someone to court.  I was sued by one of my credit cards and the fees they had to pay were over $300 dollars.  These two bit companies like to make phone calls but they are not going to spend the money to try to sue you.......... Dont panic!

Was called @ 1200pm today... By a Robert Allen, stating he had a file of charges claimed against me but wouldnt say what they were for. Gave me a file # to reference when calling the 855-693-3682 # and said that if I did not call soon to remedy the matter that there would be paperwork sent to me at my place of residence or place of employment. They said I would go to court if I didnt respond and that the phone call was my formal notice of the processes being put forth. He never said the name of the company the debt was from, nor did he say the name of the company he was with, or the name of the company that I was to call regarding the matter. At 8pm tonight I called the number on the message left on my phone and whenI called, the voiceservice said it was Allstate Mediation and to enter an extension if known or "0" for the operator. I pressed "0" and was led to a voicemail box stating the persons were away from the desk or busy at the moment, and to leave a message with teh file# and contact number and they would return the call the next business day.  Now by law, they have 5 days to mail a letter to me stating what its all about but by reading statements from other people, they do not send anything to anyone until you give them bank account information.. Some people say they were taken to court and garnished the wages for the debts not paid, others say the company is fake and that no one should believe what is being "said" as they are a scamming company that doesnt have any jurisdiction to do anything... I google the company and nothing comes up but the complaints made on other sites.. I have no problem paying bills (when i can afford to) but I wont give out personal information, especially bank info to anyone... I will send you money when I can, you are not going to take it from me before I get to know why you are calling me... I am curious as to how valid these threats were....

I finally got a hold of the right person to deal with at the company. After I told the original operator that what they were doing was illegal they transferred me to a different dept that was actually willing to work with me and give me information. They were harassing members of my family with phone calls and telling them that I had used them as references for a loan. That is illegal because it is untrue. I got a hold of them and they said they are Allstate Mediation Firm. They're basically a collection company for Authorized Payday Loans. They are crooks. They said I had a balance of $532.50 and that they would waive $200 as a settlement offer. I asked them to send me something in writing with their company letterhead and stating that this payment was for the balance owed to Authorized Payday and they refused. They said "good luck in court" and hung up on me when I said I couldn't pay that amount in full without proof that they were legit. So I called Authorized Payday directly and they told me my balance was only $332.50...$200 less than Allstate said I owed. They're not even authorized to collect on behalf of Authorized Payday. Be careful please because if you pay them out of fear of going to court, you're not really paying the people you owe.

Got a call...didn't answer. VM stating that there were charges being filed against me for a payday loan I took out in 2006, I asked for a letter validating the debt but they said they would not send me a letter. They said the check from this payday loan that was NSF and for what I'm getting charged for was presented to my bank on 11/29/06 and that they called my bank to verify that the account was mine.

Here's the issue. I didn't have this account in 2006 so there's NO WAY they could have verified this with my bank. My account was set up in 2008. I called my bank who verified that there was NO check presented from Authorized Payday Loans and that NOONE had called to verify that information. My bank is investigating this further and will get back to me when they figure it out. In the mean time, I have changed my account number and ordered a new card.

They knew my social, my dob, my old employer whom they called to verify I was employed, and my old address. ALL A LITTLE FISHY which makes me VERY SKEPTICAL.

Now....about 2 months ago, I was in a bind and applied for a payday loan. One of which I got from a ligit, physical, free standing company that I go to to pay. It wasn't until I applied for a payday loan online that I started getting calls from these PAYDAY LOAN people claiming I owe money and that I have charges filed against me.

If this is ligit, the I will fight it in court but until then, I'm not chancing anthing.

One more thing...if you try to google Allstate Mediation Firm online, NOTHING comes up!!!

they just called my job but wouldn't state who was going to serve the papers they should not call your job

They called my job and asked for my manager and left my hr a message saying the where serving for some charges, they did not say what or who they where... Very inappropriate..Something should be done.My supervisor was looking at me like I commited a crime...
