Well, it would appear the old scam has been revived and the operators are obtaining names and numbers by means other than bridal shows. I got two different voicemails with the same message everyone else here received: "Congrats, you've received a Table Charm prize, call this number and state your confirmation number." The messages were clear and coherent and they even got my first name right. But here's the thing: I've never been to a bridal show in my life. Nor have I subscribed to or signed up for anything remotely wedding-ish. I've never been engaged. Heck, I'm not even dating anyone! So how they got my first name and number is a mystery to me. Resourceful little buggers. Needless to say, I won't be calling them back. Thanks for sharing your stories, everyone! The voicemails I got sounded a bit scammy... and now I know why.

Also went to a bridal show recently and got the same call saying I won something and to call them back to claim my prize. Hope they don't call back again after this.

Hi its Ron here, if you haven't entered into any contest I got a call also. But if you attend a bridal show and you fill out the forum when you first walk into the room, to the trade show you sometimes get a survey or what you think of the show etc. As soon as you fill that out at any show, the vendors receive your information address, email phone numbers, even if you don't enter anything at any bridal show, or event. You have to keep your mind open to a phone call or email. After we attended the last show we got lots of calls won a couple of gifts. I run my own business also in wedding planning and events and  I give away prizes and gifts all the time its a form of marketing to attract couples or clients to your business. Nothing wrong with it, Everybody trys to sell you something in one way or the other. But sure those pots and pans are expensive and nice to win even one of them my mom bought a set I tell you there the best thing. If I could afford them for sure I would buy my wife a set she does the cooking hehe enjoy and congradulations on your up coming weddings. Allways remember you can allways say no. hehe

Just got this call and voicemail today. I am so glad I entered this number into google before calling back. What a rip! I legit thought I won something--jerks! Andddd the voicemail left was so fast I had to listen like 15 times to make out what she was saying!

I just got the same call..a 905 # then to call back a 1-888 #...I got so excited that i won a bridal gift until i googled the #. Thanks everyone for the heads-up!

I've also received this message after attending a bridal show. Sort of sounded legit until I listened to it several times and realized you can not even make out the alleged company name. Thanks for the warning.

Well, i listened to the womans speech on everything, and she said that the vacation had nothing to do with timeshares, and that we would have a choice of wedding bands or the vacation if we watched the presentation. apparently there arent TOO many people who go.. they said about 6 other couples will be there, which isnt too bad.. who knows.. im going to go with my fiance and if we get the free rings or the trip, then great.. if not, then its only 90 mins out of my life.. but i would hate not to go and miss out. I also was looking on the BBB about them and so far it seems A Ok.

oh, i see post from couple years ago.... Anyways. I just received a call from phone#905 761 8847. the lady who left me v/m was mumbeling  and i couldn't catch where she was calling from. She congratulated me and my fiancee and told me to call back on Sunday after 6pm. Really? what kind of companies will be open after 6pm on sunday???? Very fishy.... not calling back!!!

...And what if the 2 night hotel stay is in South America & you have to pay the air fare to get there? My point is, do your homework first! Call them & ask MANY questions. If they don't answer, won't answer, you have YOUR answer.

I know most of the comments on here are regarding soliciting but does anyone know If this is a legit company offer .... ??  I would be more than willing to sit through a 90 minute demo for a free hotel stay! Really that's a great deal ... could someone tell me if they have actually attended this demonstration?? Thanks

I just recieved a message from this 1 888 number aswell. I have gone to two bridal shows now and the first one i got a similar call about "you won a prize" It was Table Charm. I did not enter any draw to such a company, but I went to their 1 hour presentation that took nearly 2 hours.

What they do is try and sell their VERY expensive product to you. They have a mini "guess the price game", closest guess wins a whisk. LOL. and i guessed $8000 just to be funny, I won the whisk, with the product costing $10,000 for a 10 piece set. Yes, $1,000 for each pot with a lid. So my fiance was so eagar to get the "prize" and leave, but we had to wait around for them to pitch a sale to you, AGAIN. You pick from 3 prizes - 2 plain wedding bands from a select few you order online and pay S&H, 2 nights stay some where other than Canada or USA ( you pay the flight) or 2 nights stay somewhere in Canada ( you pay flight). The guy is so hesitant to give you it you pretty much have to say "Give me my prize and I'm going now." otherwise, prepare to sit there until you buy the products. Minimum purchase is $2000.

I also received a call from Dinner for Two by Table Charm and to call them back before 9pm or after 9am tomorrow (1-888-729-4906). Well my fiancee received a call and asked them to call back and leave a message for me on the answering machine (I love him but he's so silly some times).

Here is my research. The website link at the top gives some responses of people who did attend the showing and were very displeased with their purchase. That the items stick, scratch or that you can still find better for less. That its all just pressured sales (can't blame them, its their job, I did sales, wouldn't do it again.. I'm to honest...).

In order to get the vacations you have to send them $50. For me personally I'll just use that $50 towards our getaway, we don't need anything big and fancy. Some others are free to do so and may enjoy the discount. Table Charm does have an actual website:

This gives a review of what you may receive. Sorry to say I wont be going. I'll just live my life as if I didn't receive a call in the first place. No need to get all worked up about it (Its something new I'm trying myself. This world is way to stressful as it is. I don't need to make it worse for myself.)

Hope that helps some of you out there. You can probably just call and ask them to remove your number card and just be nice about it. They probably have enough people shout at them in a day, its not nice, everyone is human and we all have to live in this world as it is.

I got from them saying they are "Hiring in your area! Mystery shoppers needed!" They are scammers!!!! There was a news article about this the other day. Somehow they try to lure you into sending them money. The number where my text came from was 251-229-8880.  But said to call 1-888-729-0126 to unsubcribe... Yeah right!

Got a phone call last night from them too. My girlfriend dragged me to my first wedding show ever and I will never go again. I am not returning their call. Hopefully they will not keep calling and bothering me.

Thanks Ladies for the info. I just got this call too. Was a little excited to hear I won a prize but the name didn't sound familiar as I do not remember entering this at my local Bridal Show that I attended. Some people will do anything, lol.

OMG i cannot believe these people have done this for this long. it is now 2011 and the postings go back to 2009. they seem to say the same thing, evertime. my call was done by Claudia and gave me an authorization number to give when i call back. but i had to call before 9pm today or tomorrow. Whatever!! I also dont remember seeing Table Charms there at the Bridal Show. This is not good business on the part of the Bridal Show. They should not have the right to give your information out to just anyone. i went there thinking that only the booths that were there would call. I still have almost a year before my wedding date, but i will not attend another bridal show and i will tell all my friends not to go. To me, even the Bridal Show is a scam as well. thank you Canada 411 for having this available for everyone.

Seriously people its 90 MINUTES... I got the call and I remember entering the draw... I will go I have NO MONEY they can't get anything out me if they do require money cuz there is none... but I am going to go and enjoy myself... what harm is it... what are they going to do lock you in a room and torture you...  no they are going get you to watch something eat some food... and say they are going to give you a prize... heck the least I am going to get out of it is a free apron and some food... I will listen to it... chill out people.. .if you get all up in arms over a telphone call I don't even want to know how you are about the planning of your wedding ya bunch of Bridezillas... freakin chill out.

They just called me and told me that my name was selected to get a 3 day 2 night stay  in the Dominican Republic. The catch is that you have to sit through a 90 minute cookware seminar, which I'm sure isn't so horrible, however, if I go to the Dominican Republic I'm going for like 2 weeks... really it's not even worth my time.

I'm beginning to realize that nothing is free these days and everything comes with a price tag attached no matter what anybody tells you :( I will no longer enter draws, this is the third time this has happened to me already and it seems like they give your name and phone number out to everyone they know. In the end it's really not worth anybody's time.

I received a call yesterday from Claudia at Table Charm and they said my name and that I've been selected to receive a bridal gift package, thanks for posting this everyone! I won't be calling them, like you say nothing is free without a catch!

I received a message from them saying I won a gift wedding.... I will not call them after reading the comments above. It's the second company to call me and to say that I won something. And these two companies were at the wedding show I went to. I made the mistake to give my phone numbers when I was filling a coupon in order to win a prize...SO DONT GIVE YOUR PHONE NUMBER WHEN YOU ATTEND A WEDDING SHOW !!
