We have had a call similar to these complaints, we have not taken out any type of loan with a checking account! They are threatening to throw us in jail and calling us bad names, being very mean and they will not stop calling us. They say they are from Texas, but the accent is middle eastern the phone number they are calling from is 214-491-5780 they are liars and need to be in jail!

Who is this perosn calling? They re giving me someone else's information and saying it is mine.

They told me that they don't have contact with the processor that the attorney does and I said what's the number and they transferred me on the phone to the attorney.

I got a call the other day from the Bar group regarding an unpaid payday loan and that I would be served papers If I didn't make payment arangements. I made a payment arrangement and made the first payment, the second one I couldn't make so a processor called me at work the next day and told someone why he was looking for me and gave them a number for me to call back...I called them back and they said I was being served papers unless I could come up with the payment today and they gave me till thursday...and told me if it goes to court what i have paid on it is gone. Can they serve me papers???? Help please!!!

keep getting calls from by bar group from chris williams posuing as an atty. trying to scam monies out of me and my friends. i have filed a complaint with the pa district atty.

Had a message on my work phone from a guy saying was going to be served at my office at lunch time. Gave a case number and a number to call. Said this was notice of official active file. I thought by law they are not allowed to discuss personal matters unless they have verified they have the correct individual.

regarding chase...i HAVE been served, just yetserday...quite embarrassing...due in court on the 29th...merry f'ing xmas to me. i tried calling the bar groop they said they can no longer help me

I got the same call from the bar group stating that i would be served in 1 hour if i did not make arrangements to pay a debt with a payday loan company. The person was  brandy Meeks, She said if i paid 60.00 this week the process server would not come to my job and serve me.. I asked why would they serve me and she said there were charges filed. I asked for what, she said a bad check. I did not write a check to the company. everything is done online. Do they have the right to harass people like they do legally and get away with it. They think the are the FBI or something.. Needs to be corrected.

A person called me on 12/08/09 at 6:30pm stating he was a processor who was going to serve me with court papers at my place of employment on the next day and offered to put my file at the end of his stack if I wanted to make a call to The Bar Group and possibly pay my balance in order to avoid being taken to court and paying 3 times the amount. Their actions taken regarding collecting money is fraudulent and something needs to be done.

they had called me awhile back saying that i was going to get served papers the next day because i owed for a payday loan i do have a payday loan owed so i called them and they had no records of the Bar Group and said that they didn't turn my case to them. I called Bar Group back and told them what i found out and that if what they said was true I want documents sent to my house saying all my information with dates and what i owe, I never got anything and they stopped calling until recently Mr.G started calling form unkown # saying that i need to set up payments with them before i have to go to count an if I go to court i will be pay 3 times more then the loan was for this is the 4th time something like this happened to me the other times where from men wit an Indian accent which when i told them i wasn't sending anything to take me to court they called me a BI*** and told me to F*** myself. I think they are all scams everyone trying to get money anyway they can

I have received a call from the so called "bar group", saying I wrote a bad check, but I have never wrote a check in my life. I think this is some scam, I understand, I owe money to a pay day company. But I think their calls are harassing.

I received several calls from Bar Group,  They even called by supervisors
boss.  saying i was being served in 1 hour.  Is this just a scam.

I received an unknown call as well as a family member of mine and she answered. They told her that i needed to be served with papers and left a number 888.731.4045 and a document number. Has any body else found out anymore details to this company called the BAR group? When I call the number I get a busy signal.

I just got the same call today saying they were going to serve me. I knw what its for, and I had been working with a payday loan company that is being investigated for violations of all the fdcpa codes. This is all one guy

I received a call from this number on yesterday. I would like to know if thias is a crank call or if the things said is real?

I got the same message and they called a friends house for me. I think it is GMAC. I paid late, 3 days later they repo my call and had to give it back after 6 days of having it. their mistake-they are trying to charge me almost $1000 for it? I didn't write a bad check-I sent postal money orders-any of you dealing with GMAC or a payday company?

I recieved a similar phone call saying a complaint was placed on me and that they where going to serve me with legal documents at either my home or place of buisness. I too was left a phone number and case number but when I called it was a voice mail that said I had called the bar group. If I wanted to leave a msg to G.Lagasseo. What is this does any body know????

Anyone know anything about this?  I received a call, said they had paperwork that I would be served, regarding a bad check I had written, when funny thing is, I haven't written a check for years.  I called back and got an answering machine for Mr. G. Legassio from the Bar Group and to leave a message.  Any info anyone else has?

I got a call from an unknown number and answered, caller said he was looking for me under my maiden name. Said he had ppwk to serve on behalf of the plaintiff the bar group. Left this number to call back with a case #. Very frustrating!
