I have told these people they have the wrong person but they call any way.

I keep getting calls from this place - the lady is ALWAYS 'Mary Caudle' - and although the message states that if I am NOT who they are trying to call (states my name), I should not listen to the message - they go ahead and leave details anyway - so ANYONE (if they dialed incorrectly) has the info!  I want to thank all the people that added ALL the phone numbers they call from to these posts - that way I added them all to my 'Reject Call' list.  They just don't give up!

They call me all the time. They are a debt collector, URS or United Recovery System. I don't owe them anything any more, but they still call anyway. Maybe they just like the sound of my voice. I have assembled a list of the numbers they have used to call my cell phone, and my husband's cell phone. Here ya go!

It's all right there in black & white so that a total moron can understand it.  Just goes to show the level of intelligence these people are.  That or they have a total disregard for federal law.  One or the other.

They have called my house every morning for a week right after 8 am, waking everypone up, then 3 to 4 more calls a day. They won't leave a message. My husband answered it this morning and they are looking for my brother-in-law who used to live here( 7 yrs ago) but never had this phone number. So i looked up our phone number, anywho.com has my husband and I listed at this number, number is in my name, and my sister and brother in law. The woman was rude about why they  thought this number was his, we have two different last names. What idiots

They call from 888-733-1264 and 888-733-1271 and 866-815-8808

This company calls numerous times a day and never leave a message. Today they called at 8:31am, 8:59am, and 9:46am. That's just today so far. This has been ongoing all week long!

They are scum bags with no ethics or morals.

well take care of your buiness or tell your family to if you have nothing to hide then be honest with them they are just doing their jobs

This is a follow-up, as it just happened again. The R Berrett number is *53-345-4282. For some reason the entire number doesn't display on my phone.

I've received a bunch of calls with "800 Service" displaying on my phone, but different numbers each time. No one ever leaves a message. Shortly afterward, a second call comes in, from "R Berrett". Are these connected? Has anyone else had this experience?

CALLED FOR DAYS ONLY NEEDED TALK TO MY HUSBAND. I TOLD THEM HE WAS A
TRUCK DRIVER WAS GONE FOR DAYS. IF, WE HAD AN UNPAID BILL  THAT I
PAID THE BILLS. AFTER 8 WEEKS OF DAILY CALLS, MY SON RECEIVED A EMERGENCY CALL FOR HIS DAD. .FRANTIC HE CALLED ME HOME. ARTER CALLING THE NUMBER GIVEN.  THEY HAD THE WRONG PERSON. THE PERSON HAD A DIFFERENT MIDDLE NAME FROM MY HUSBAND!!!!!! THIS AGENCY WILL DO ANYTHING AND WILL GO TO ANY LEVEL TO DO IT!!!

This # showed up on my called Id, i returned the call only to ind out they answered as the above name. I asked whom are they looking for, they asked me my name, why should I give my name they should tell me the name of the person they are trying to contact, I hung up

I received a call this morning concerning my sister-in-law at 8:50.  I work the second shift, so I wasn?t up yet.  I have no problem giving them SIL?s info, but I was upstairs and asked them to call me back in 5 minutes so I could get the info out of my Yahoo! address book without leaving the phone off the hook upstairs.  No return call, so I called them back in 55 minutes.  Asked to speak to a manager about lousy customer service.  He got all HUFFY not wanting to reveal they were a collection agency.  (Ugh-duh! They answer the phone as United recovery.)  I told the manager I thought it was rude they would call and wake me up (I work second shift) and then not call back as asked.  He didn't think it was rude and ?disagreed with my opinion.  He was surprised that I was irritated!  I told him that I had not given him permission to call me and since I wasn't the person they were looking for, not to call me again.  I swear, they are as low-life as my sister-in-law!

I *69'd this number because they had left a song ("Sea of Love"!) on my answering machine. Until I googled it and found this web site, I thought I had a stalker.

I receive the same calls from these folks. I've no idea who this person is they are looking for.

This guy says he's an investigator?  I asked him what type of investigative license he had and he got quiet then said something really bizarre like, "I guess you feel pretty bad about what you've done..."  

I'm like, "WTF are you talking about you freak?"

PS: Unless you are with a law enforcement agency or hold a private investigators license or equivalent it is against the law in  New York anyway to say you are an investigator.

So now they've screwed up twice; once by saying they are 'investigators' (They're not they are 8 dollar an hour employees working for some collection agency) and they did it over multi-state phone lines (So now it's federal).

Clean up your act people!
