This is United Recovery Systems - a valid but rather nasty and foul-tempered collections agency.

I am receiving calls from URSI cause I was listed as a reference on an application by one of best friends. Since then he has moved to another country I have spoken to 6 different reps and told them all the truth. My friend moved to another country and I gave them all his contact info. I myself am I debt collector so I know how persistent we can be but damn I have been in the industry for just over 8 years and never have I heard a talk off like the one from these reps.

they call all hours of the day and wish they would stop they allmost got my wife fired from her job,they are rude and yell at us and tell us not to speak to anyone elese for help cause no one will help us but them and the wanted my bank numbers so they could take all of my money out of the bank.they call our home and cell phone 4 to 5 times a day

They call me all the time. They are a debt collector, URS or United Recovery System. I don't owe them anything any more, but they still call anyway. Maybe they just like the sound of my voice. I have assembled a list of the numbers they have used to call my cell phone, and my husband's cell phone. Here ya go!

You can send a Cease and Desist letter to the address you have listed telling them to stop calling all of the numbers you mentioned. ESPECIALLY your work and/or cellphone. They have to stop calling by law.

Make a copy of that letter for yourself - and make a copy of the envelope. Pay at the post office and get a receipt - keep it all together so you can sue their #$@es off if they do not comply.

Calls my cell at least twice a day-no messages

I hate these guys...and if you google URSI you will see that theres tons of lawsuits against them. I would love to just pay the bill, but they do not make it easy. They want you to sign up for a payment plan and that is how they get paid. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY CHECKING OR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION! They do not put anything in writing and have tons of complaints against them for harassment.

Yep United Recovery and they are rude to say the least....

They call me too, never leave a message. I don't have any credit cards nor do I owe anyone.

Left a message on my cell.  It was directed to an individual with a name I didn't know.  The message said, "If you are not this individual, you do not need to listen to this call".  So I hung up.....

rang my cell then hung up.  Called my sons inlaws last week looking from my "X".  Called them back and told them her cell number.

This call is for a family member, but my number is the only one they can contact.  I've spoken with them on several occasions that the individual they should contact doesn't live here.

I called back the number and got a recording that said  it was United Recovery Systems. I do not have an American Express card, and this one of the many reasons why I never will!

received numerous calls from this number but an immediate hang-up once I answered the phone.

Or, you can just stop calling people that do not owe any money and hang yourself.

from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm 7 days a week  for the last 4 months so i come with a nice idea every time they call my soft(windows base Voip) phone void the ring from all this asho@#@@s ha ha  ha ha

Or better yet pay the bill, then they will stop calling.  You can pick up the phone and say, "please send me the bill and I will pay it since I know I owe the money"

MY MOST FAVORITE COLLECTION COMPANY TO HAVE CALLING ME. IT HAS GOT SO BAD I JUST DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE ANYMORE. THAT REALLY, REALLY PISSES THEM OFF. This caller will call UNTILL THEY speak to the person they are calling for, Only if the phone is picked up. If the phone is not picked up on, they will call numerous times (8-10 times estimated) all day from 8am through 9pm everyday, EVEN WEEKENDS, And if they hit a message machine and or voice, they do not leave a message. THEY ARE NOW CONTACTING MY PERSONAL REFERENCES FROM ORIGINAL CREDIT APPLICATION, AND IN A SNEEKY WAY, TRYING TO IMPOSE A FALSE BELIEF THAT ITS EXTREAMELY IMPORTANT TO REACH ME.They HAVE harrassED my family and relitives AND FRIENDS. They have stated that they will call until I pay my account up-to-date.  They have also stated that they will CONTACT MY work place to collect on this debt. AND TO THIS DATE, THEY STATED, THAT THEY HAVE SENT ME A BILLING STATEMENT EVEN THOUGH I HAVE NOT RECEIVED SUCH A BILLING NOTIFICATION FROM THEIR COMPANY IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS. HERE IS A LIST OF PHONE NUMBERS THAT HAVE BEEN USED TO TRY TO MAKE AN ATTEMPT TO CONTACT ME BEING REGISTED ON MY CALLER ID AND MY FRENDS AND MY RELETIVES CALLER ID.

Called 8:06 CST, 4 Dec 07. Left no message. (I screen all calls with an answering machine.)

This is "United Recovery Systems, Inc." in Houston, TX.
They are a legitimate collection agency.
When they call, Caller ID can show various numbers, including 888-733-1271, 888-733-1266, and 866-815-3211, and probably many more numbers.

They've been looking for somebody who I do not know. They got my phone number erroneously.

Called at 3:34 pm on Sept. 25, 2007. About 15 seconds of silence. No message.

Strange, got calls at all hours. No message. Morons.
