Calls everyday from this number with no identification. Have not returned the call as I think it is a scam and don't want my number charged for hugh rates which I did not make. Please stop these calls from coming to my house.

Keep calling our business and asking for employee's that do not work for us regarding employment verification for a loan, when I told the girl calling we don't have anyone working for us by that name she asked for our corporate office, I once again told her, we don't have anyone working here by that name and she told me, you need to calm down.  I am so sick of getting these calls 5-6 times per day.  They said the company name is National Credit Acceptance.  WTF

Called my husband's cel today but no message. Then my neighbor, an older lady came over with a note. She said they called HER asking about my husband and if he still lived at our address. They said they had been trying to call our home but nobody was answering. Funny, because we haven't used a land line for 5 years and only moved to this house 2 years ago. Someone named "Carol" at extension 53, asked her to leave their number for him to call them back. Then I started looking this company up in the net and keep finding stories about phishing scams and stolen credit card numbers. YIKES!

I thought it was a collection as well. I answered this call 13 days ago as they have stated I owe a debt. I know I am not perfect and think I may have had a debt left and wanted to settle it. When I provided the card number over the phone assuming it was National Credit Acceptance "who they claimed to be" making an attempt to collect a debt, I found that my credit card a few days ago has been maxed out. I believe they stated the debt has been for $84.31 and since then my card has been used in Womens Department Stores in Sacramento, Ca exactly where they are located. It's a coincidence and funny that I just got a new card from my bank and only give it out to one person at National Credit Acceptance and all of a sudden my card gets maxed out. Funny business but hopefully pending this investigation we will see why this happened. Shawna at National Credit Acceptance had no comments when I called questioning the security of my credit card information.

RESOLUTION: Whatever you do DO NOT SETTLE THE DEBT WITH THIS COMPANY. RESOLVE ALL DEBTS DIRECTLY WITH THE COMPANY YOU OWE MONEY TO. LET THEM KNOW YOU WILL NOT SETTLE DEBT WITH A 3RD PARTY COLLECTOR. FROM THAT POINT ON FILE FOR HARASSMENT WITH LOCAL AUTHORITIES. NOTE ALL INCOMING CALLS WITH YOUR PHONE COMPANY (IF LAND LINE) PLACE A TRACER OR TAP FOR REFERENCE AND TAKE THE 3RD PARTY TO COURT. THIS WAY YOU CAN GET COMPENSATED FOR THE HARASSING CALLS THAT YOU HAVE NOT AUTHORIZED. A GREAT WAY TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK AND ENOUGH TO GO ON A NICE VACA:)

if you don't want them to call back just tell them that you recently got the phone number and you don't know who they are looking for

OK-- I called the number back today, and Troy from National Credit Acceptance answered.  He was looking for someone (name I didn't recognize) at my phone number in reference to a credit application.  He said that often the issues they're following up on can be 5+ years old so if phone numbers transfer, the new owner gets the calls.

Apparently, an automated system makes the calls, and then if no operator is available on their end when you answer, it hangs up on you. (So as to be polite and not make you hold, he said.)

This is a collection agency for a credit card company.. hope this helps...

I get a call from this number once or more per day.  It disconnects as soon as I pick up whether I say hello or not.  Very annoying.  Anyone know what's going on?
