be careful when calling the 888 number.  I did and got an automated message identified as just "customer service".  no company name, no affiliation, nothing.  both options (cancel or look up subscription) require you enter your debit/credit card number.  deal directly with your bank instead -- there's no telling what this "company" will do after you enter your credit card information

The same thing happenned to me. My charge was 3/1/10 and was $10.58. I use Bank of America. I called to dispute the item. The guy called the number and some customer service rep name Joe agreed to credit this charge and, come to find out, the same thing happened to me on 1/29, but I missed it then. I demanded they credit both of them. I did not subscribe to anything in january and was highly upset. I just happned to get my new debit card today (that is what prompted me to check my statement). Thankfully, the card that was fraudulently charged has been cancelled

My TD Visa card was charged $12.89 CDN. on a date in March 2010.

Visa statement shows:   "888-748-9849+CHEX SINGAPORE"

The card was not actively used for several years, so this charge is an obvious fraud.

I'll call the bank to seek reversal of this charge and issuance of new card.

This number is from a company that will charge your acct. mine. was $12.82  taken out of my acct on 2 different occasions. They claimed I had a memebership for an adult website- never happened. You need to be firm and tell them to refund and you have to 'Cancel" this so called memebership. They are basically stealing your money.
Call your bank and let them know what has happened. You have the right to press charges my filing a police report.
Again---- Be firm- Tell them to refund your money- OR you will press charges.

I had a charge on my account for Augustia.com, that showed the same 888 phone number next to it on my statement. I went to the website and I "canceled" my "subscription" by (unwisely) entering my credit card information and email. Got an email saying my unwanted/unsolicited, and likely imaginary porn subscription was canceled. No real loss, there. My bank reversed the charge for me, and judging by the willingness with which they did it, I imagine they are familiar with this company. I am changing all of my passwords and my email address, probably getting a new bank account, and no longer using the password/info storage features on my browsers. Not sure how they ever got a hold of my information but it freaked me out.

Take Jay and Leanne's advice if this happens to you. Don't give them your info! If you're like me and you came across this sobering advice too late...yeah. Your bank will give you the money back and investigate.

I don't check my acc all that often and was horrified to find these charges dating back to Jan 10!! In total £350 sterling. 16 different transactions 6 different companies all sharing the same card info, in the hands of the bank but I don't know where I stand as it over such a long time? If it is a known fraud are the bank liable for not spotting the fraudulent use?
eznet, pplbill.net, 888 748 9849 chex, crumedia, augustia and flychrg were the companies.
Thats a warning to service your accounts!!

Two charges to my jmother's account - phone calls to the number ask for credit card numbers to "research" unwanted  charges (which I did not give out).  When I Googled the number, this site came up with great info.  I work with Chase, too, and they cancelled the old debit card (my mom died in May, for goodness sake!), I'll make a claim through Chase to get refund for the $80 taken.

I got the same kind of charge on my credit card that others talk about here.  Most credit cards have an online method to dispute a charge or a place to call.  I disputed the charge on line and my credit card company removed it in 3 days.  I think it is pretty obvious to them that this number is a scam.

I just received my statement in the mail and  noticed a $10.38 charge from CHEXSINGAPORE which i did not make... Why aren't these credit card companies taking action against that site when there are so many people getting scammed by them with out our knowledge?

I was notified by my credit card company of the charge from 8887489849+chex and when i called the 888 number, a recording wanted me to enter my credit card #, sounds like a phishing scam to me.  I had the bank send me a new card and reverse the charge.  Do not call this # and give them your credit card number!

I just recently noticed this on my account, and just went to my bank and told them to please take it off. They told me I had to fill out an affidavit, and they will look into it, and that if I didn't give my card out to these people it will be reported as internet fraud. They also reissued me a new card, and canceled the other one. Even if all of us purchased porn and health and beauty online, the numbers should be the same for most of us. The difference between each of our charges from this company is rediculous. This place should be shut down. If anyone wants to go to the site where they are located, go to www.getcshelp.com or you can call the number directly I guess, and cancel your membership with whatever porn site, or health and beauty site that you supposedly joined.
