when I call back they asked me for my social security number I think it's a scam {don't ever give anybody your  social security number}

I just got a phone call from this company today with a file #9725327 and to call Sharon on a personal matter. Did not even identify which company she was with. To call her back at 888-750-9500 at ext: 139. I am really hesitant and unwilling to call this number back to identify what this is about..

voicemeil left the 750-9500 number but came from 908-526-9300 according to my caller ID. Certified Credit
Apparently trying to contact people that had my number before me.

Hackensack Hospital Collections .. that's what it was for me.. I owed a $50 copay from an emergency room visit.

I keep gettin calls from 1888-750-9500 askin for Sumi Sakai sayin to refer to file # 6189525 and that it is extremely important I return these calls.  i aint callin them back because i feel like its a scam but idk what to do.

Follow-up....discovered it is a collection agency. (Billing department screwup. Straightened it out.)

I've received two messages from 888-750-9500. A woman asked for me by name, left the 888 number, an extension and a file number, saying it was "essential that I call". Never said what it is in regard to. I have no clue.

My SISTER, who doesn't even have the same last name as me, got the same phone call asking for ME. No idea what this is about. I'm hesitant to call the number for fear of some scam.

This number is a collections and billing company. The rep i spoke to said the company name varies depending on who the bill is for. He called the company "certified", but i doubt that's the name of the actual company.

Not sure who this belongs to either;  this outfit is leaving messages daily on my answering machine.  I filed a complaint with the Do Not Call registry.
