They call me all the time. They are a debt collector, and my debt is paid in full. They still call anyway. Maybe they just like the sound of my voice. I have assembled a list of the numbers they have used to call my cell phone, and my husband's cell phone. Here ya go!

Calls the house , I answered, but knowone was there.

I've been getting 888 calls on my cell phone for the past week or two. They always call when I'm at work when I'm not able to answer my phone, so I just see their number under "missed calls." They never leave a voicemail or anything. Only found out it was United Recovery by googling some of the numbers. Most are 888, but there's an 866 thrown in for good measure too:

2 calls  one after another. One from 888-763-2423 and another form 866-891-6936. No info  provided so I don't pickup. There is never any messages left.

Just received a call on my cell at 8:21 AM on a Sat. morning.  They were asking for a person I didn't know.  When I told them it was a wrong number, they said, "Well, do you know ---" (this person)?  Yesterday I had a message left on the same phone from 888-733-1266.  It said, "If you are not this person, you do not need to listen to this call..."  This was a DIFFERENT NAME.  What's with this?  I have better uses for my cell minutes!!!!!!!!!!!

I've had two 888 calls this week..Apparently from United Recovery. The first number was 888-733-1271. The next call was from just now..888-763-2423. They're calling my cell phone! I have no clue how they got that number.

They call me at least two times a day. I've told them to stop but they will not.

that is the same man he left the number to call back 980 area code but he called from area code 908 and if you dial the 980 you want get him he will keep calling back over and over again. He said the same thing that I was going to be arrested for some kind of check or something and he kept calling wanting to speak to my boss.

We got a call from a man with heavy foreign accent claiming to be Steve Martin with Fed Credit Union 980-244-2001. He said our employee and company was being named in a fraud law suit and he wanted to give notification to us that she will be arrested. Gave a ref# if we needed to call him back.

called my job asked for me and a coworker told them I was busy and he asked for a manager which is me and called my cowork a bith and then he said our company was going to be sued. some indian man. No company name was given

I got a call from 888-763-2423 yesterday... They were asking for an old friend of mines brother! I can't understand how they got my home phone number as I haven't seen either of them for over 5 years and I am now since married and my last name is different and I live over 100 miles away from where we lived! I have a 10 week old daughter that had just gone down for a nap after a cranky morning and these a***oles woke her up! They should not be allowed to harass people like this!

I live overseas.  These people are calling my elderly mother in the US at all hours.  As far as I know, I don't owe anyone.  They refuse to identify themselves and won't stop calling her.

These jerk offs are the newest and sleaziest collectors ever.  They don't just harass you, they harass your neighbors and family and even strangers looking for you (if you're actually the person they are looking for, which in my case I wasn't).  The way they do this is simple they have the address of the person they are looking for so they will go to a map site and just look up phone numbers of people in the surrounding area or google the last names of the person they are after to try to find relatives and they basically humiliate the person who owes the bill(or who they mistakenly think owes the bill) into calling them back to pay. I had this happen once with a different company who said I owed money when I didn't and we actually had neighbors coming to us and telling us this person calling claimed to be a long lost friend or a family member to try and get my neighbors to give them our cell phone #s, new addresses, etc.  Thankfully we have smart neighbors and family members who refused to give out our info but still...we actually had a sheriif's deputy come and listen to the harassing messages and call her back telling her she was not allowed by law to harass others looking for us.  In any case this specific number belongs to United Recovery Systems (don't know if same company from a few years ago that caused all our trouble but sounds like their M.O.).  Here are the known numbers these jerks call from:

They'r callin my CELLPHONE multiple times a week askin me for someone I dont even know!!! Is this legal??? I want to stop them!! I hung up on them a lot and now i receive calls from this other number 1-866-815-9333, I think is the same junk. HELP!

These people are finding the information about who lives close to a certain person by calling 411.

This number is United Recovery System, they called me in regards to my mother in law!  I have NEVER had a debt collector call me, and I don't appreciate them calling me about anyone else!  I have no idea how they got our name and number, but I have to maintain a Top Secret security clearance for my job and don't need this garbage calling me!

Calling me about a neighbor and his bill. Completely inappropriate!

Been receiving calls from this number for the past week. Finally decided to call them back. It's a debt collection agency, "United Recovery System". Spoke to a representative who said she had no records under my name, they must have a wrong number and apologized for the phone calls. She told me next time pick up and tell them to stop calling... That just doesn't seem right.

Got call from 888-763-2423, knew my name, asked if I knew a  _____ _____ from Buffalo, NY.  Didn't, said so, caller said must have the wrong number, hung up.

Didn't answer.I get a lot of 888 calls.They take up space on my answering machine - no message, but when I get a lot of these, they will quickly fill it so other callers can't leave messages! Aggravating!
