The scam "PAYUP" is when losers like you call innocent people who have NO DEBT...like ME, and threaten them, their family and their employer!  ALL OF WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW...ESPECIALLY IN FLORIDA!  You should really reconsider threatening someone who WORKS FOR THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT!!!

FTC just sued a large group of collection agencies located in the city of Corona CA, alleging numerous violations of debt collection laws.

If you are having any problems with illegal debt collection practices, and in particular if they are coming from a collection agency in southern California, or near Corona CA, contact FTC.

Resport them to the local police and try to contact your local news channels.. The group that called me were out of oceana,ca i called the local police and spoke with a couple of news channels! The b****oles have to learn they cant bully us. Notice if you argue with them they hang up right away!grrrr

My folks got a call around 3 am they made the statement that i was in big trouble and that i will be recieving a summons and arrested for failing to pay a bill.. Later this afternoon they sent a Fax tryiing to sneak a wage garnishment under my employers nose, they called up my job again telling the operator o was going to recieve a summons contact them immediately... I called to confirm it was the same people that harrassed my folks, was promptly shut off the phone when i told them they were breaking the law by harrassing my family and myself at work... Resolution i called the police department in Oceanside, their name is crcc or Srcc their letter head isnt clear but their adress is 2530 Vista Way suite F-12, Oceanside, Ca 92054 the phone they used was 1-888-768-8974... I contacted the police as i said they arent listed as a business on their list of businesses, i also followed up by contacting the local news channels and dropping off theor adress MO and variouse phone numbers, buddy the cross hairs are looking for you now look out !

My boyfriend got a call from this company at his job today and yesterday and they also contacted his parent's house and lied and said they were from the Orange County Clerks office and tried to get her to tell them his address of where he lived. At first i was freaked out. After I googled the number I found this page where everyone is having the same complaints. I called the number from my blocked number and they immediately transferred me to the "litigation department" when I asked what company it was. The guy from "litigation" answered and asked for the trial number. lol. I asked him, "What company is this for so I can contact my local police department to report your scam?" He started talking over me, interrupting me and saying he works at an answering service for about 30 companies. He then told me the number that I was calling from and said he would make sure to have people call me everyday all day. LOL. Its a scam, they can't threaten you, they can't call your job, its illegal.

Jessi johnston just called my inlaws home as well.. not to sure what the hell these people want, but they do not listen.. scam....

I got calls from  Julia Shaw and Taylor Stevens yesterday, the company name is Direct Resources Capital and they are a collections agency posing as officers of the court. They were threatening to send an officer to serve me at my ex inlaws home.  It's a pretty scary scam and sounded legit while I was in panic mode. One of their "in house" attorneys was going to be happy to negotiate a "settlement"....whatever......nice try.  I'm contacting the original credit card company to try to handle the matter.

Got on message on my cell phone from a Shaun James saying that within 2 hours a uniformed officer was going to appear at my home address with a summons to appear in county court.  Decided to call and was placed on hold for several minutes before I decided to hang up and google the phone number.  So I scam, we'll see at 2pm.  Cannot think of anything that I would have a summons for.

I Have received the same type of call..this was the 1st number they left on vm telling me that they are with the process server division of my county clerk of courts and that they need to schedule a time to be served a summons to appear in court by a officer in uniform.  Said I need to call the issuing agent to schedule this time and that i have a 2 hour window to call them before dispatching an officer, gave a legal case number to give when i call.  Told i they will make 3 attempts to establish this and if we don't they will notify court that i am debating summons or failure to serve. I was pretty shaken at 1st. They did call me 3 times by 3 names and 3 different phone numbers.  I called my county clerk and she told me we don't even have such a division that it is a scam.  She took names and numbers given to notify her clerks in court.  Also, told me to contact my local police department.  Also, at one time a 760 exchange was on my phone (as i hung up on 1st call and he called me right back leaving a message) that is a California exchange and i live in Ohio. These scam artist are getting really good at what they do.  The names used were Kevin Woods, Matt Burns, and Sophie Lauren.  FYI, you are not notified when you are being served a summons, they just do it! Ya, I got a message yesterday at 4:30 from a Sofia Warren saying I was being served, and had 3 hours to reply. What court works to 7:30 at night? She said she was from Windham County which is in VT.
So I looked up the number and name for all VT state and court employees and found nothing..Sure sounds like a scam...

Definitely a scam.  Process servers never warn you in advance that they will serve papers; they just do it.
