Their website is  http://homeowneradv.com/  Can you find any help there?
File a complaint with the Utah Division of Consumer Affairs  http://www.consumerprotection.utah.gov/  using the Utah address you have. They are familiar with this Mortgage Auditing Program scam that was previously sold by AMT Auditing Services LLC based in Utah that is now allegedly out of business  http://www.bbb.org/utah/business-reviews/loan ... ork-ut-22302183
Also file a complaint with the BBB  http://www.bbb.org/wyoming-and-northern-color ... nne-wy-46082477  because we have to try to increase the complaint count (presently 5 complaints) against this company. Click on the "There is an Alert for this business" link to read about BBB's unsuccessful attempt to contact homeowneradv by mail. Perhaps you can give the BBB the Utah address from your statement? Note the BBB also lists 888-200-4649 and 877-762-0725 as alternative numbers for this company.

This company took $280 from my master card. They sent me a statement in the mail saying that my mortgage was good. No errors. So I'm supposed to get this money back if they didn't find any discrepances. Of course there is no phone number on the paperwork. The return address is Utah. I suppose my money will never be returned to my account. I really needed this on top of being unemployed. Now I have to find help with this scam in getting my money back. This sucks.

I received a letter from this so-called company, Homeowner Advocates. Looking over it, there had to be a catch...I just thought that there is no way someone is just going to "give me money." I googled the return address that was on the envelope, 109 W 17th St., Cheyenne, WY 82001. Search results turned up a completely different company and phone. Then I googled the number to call, 888-770-7411 to see if there are any known scams and voila!! I found this page.

I knew it.

Bottom line: If you ever receive a similar letter, go ahead and run it through your paper shredder.

Its a scam. I told them that i was interested and to send me all the details in e-mail so that i can do some research with my mortgage lender first. I never heard from them or recieved an email afterwards. They wanted to 240 something dollars to do the audit and guaranteed me a refund if i did not recieve 5,000 minimum. ( thats where it sounded fishy). They also wanted to set me up on a bi-weekly mortgage payment in order to save a couple thousand a year in interest. i told them i was not interested in this and he said" great in that case it would only cost 140 something dollars to do and audit". I should have known better. Don' fall for this
