For information, this company is trolling on this website and posting comments in their best interest. They started calling me and my daughter. Said my son owed a 500 dollar debt. They told me and my daughter both they were from the Mich Dept of Corrections. I reported them to the Mich Dept of Corrections and another business. Mich Dept of Corrections wrote me back and said they are a legitmate debt collections. I beg to differ from there tatics. If they are real then why no contact through mail? Why only calls asking to give money over the phone.

I received a VM at work from a company called RS Legal Group and I should call them because I had a court date with them. They left me a case number. Called the number back and spoke to Mr Smith. He is pleasant. They say I owe over 900 for a credit card back from 2007 and I can pay now or they will take me to court and garnish my wages. I asked for proof of what I owe and they sent me my credit report ?

Someone from this RS Group called my in -laws looking for me and saying they had legal papers to serve me.  I am so glad I checked the number out first before I called them!!  I have had fun calling the number using *67 first and then just sitting there!

This people will call and say anything to scare you!!  They are rude. They will call anywhere, anytime, whom  ever they can harass.  I hope that government will do something about them.

I reported my phone call from this RS GROUP yesterday and the guy actually seemed real.. Then I go on this website and find all this info out... This is 100% scam.. So when I called this guy on it today.. He flipped out... and started being abusive... screaming at me... like I was a little child.. So I went off.. I told him I called the attorney generals office the BBB and the Confumer Affairs, and then I told him that the news was coming after him.. I told him to lose my name and all my info.. He kept screaming at me, saying this was my fault, that I should pay my bills... When in fact I never even had the bill in question.. His name is RYAN JONES, the # is 888-772-9524 or 909-256-5527.. please do not fall this... I almost did.. Thank god for the Net.. They will try and harrass you till the end of time.. until you get aggressive.. When I got on the phone I was not nice I was rude.. I was aggressive.. I told him he wasnt allowed to speak.. That I was speaking... at the end he told me he didnt care about me, Cause he hung up on me twice and I called back.. screaming even louder and more aggressive.. you have to be mean hateful and for lack of a better word B to them.. If I ever hear from this guy again, it will be to soon..

I got the same Ryan Jones claiming he was from RSGROUP for money that I owed.. He said if I didn't make some form of a payment today that I was going to be sued and would have to pay court fees.. and they would take my wages.. I got scared, didn't know what to do.. I told him I didnt have any money.. I didn't do my reseach at first.. and then started thinking about it.. This was after I told him I would try and get money... I didnt give him my bank account but I did give him my new address.. I know stupid mistake.. But I thought it was legit, had a case number and everything.. I know now this is a scam.. I don't know what to do now... any advice?

As stated in previous posts the guy called from a Private Number and left a threatening message saying that I had until friday to response back to this message with the reference number that was given or else someone was taking me to court for an unpaid debt and he was calling from the RS Group. I was going to call back the number that was left on my voicemail but until I started reading the other posts I won't even bother doing so! Thanks everyone for the great info!!!!

This number has called for my daughter at work and asked the receptionist what hours she worked that they needed legal papers to be served and reference a file#. My daughter called back to find out what was happening and found that it is collection effort for a debt that was made by her ex after they were divorced. She advised it is illegal to call at place of employment without permission and they hung up.  They then started calling my house asking to speak with her. I told them she didn't live here and they proceeded to give me information about the debt and said they would be her on a certain date to arrest her.  What a joke!  Even if it were a legit claim, they have to follow the law and have papers served through the courts.  By the way..they never showed at either place. If they had come here I would have called the local authorities!

I just got a phone call saying they were suing me for 561 dollars and I'd have to go to court. How can I get their info about being filled on. I called them back to speak to a supervisor and the same guy that I talked to answered and started to yell a me saying I was harassing him. I asked for a business I'd and he hung up on me. Can you share the Info with me.

I've been getting an unknown caller every day at random times for several weeks now.  This morning I received a call from 888-772-9116 whilst on my way into work (it's my cell they keep calling, I do not have a land line).  A voice mail was left and it was just a recording saying that this was of a personal matter to please hold and an agent will be right with you.  Then it stated sorry all available agents are currently busy and that they are sorry for the inconvenience but will call back later.  Well about 20 minutes later I get an unknown call.  Usually I do not answer them, but when I have it's either been just a few moments of silence then a click or they ask for me and hang up when I ask may I tell her who's calling please.  

These people have been hounding me for what seems like three years, use different company names as well as individual names.  Yet the voices sound the same.  They also call my ex-husband who is NOT a primary contact for me.  And now they are harassing my oldest son now, who is also NOT my primary contact.  My father gets calls as well.  We've reported them to the local authorities but have been told that all they can do is file a report and suggest  we file a complaint with the FTC.  

These calls are pretty much as others on this site have described.  One person calls saying you're being served and to call a number to stop the process.  They'll start out with a gruff nasty voice stating this is the processor, blah blah blah.  The last one sounded like some mob guy and ended his message with 'consider yourself SERVED.'.  Well, the last time I checked, when you are being served, it's NOT over the phone nor do they call every person associated with you at multiple addresses.  Some of which I've never even lived at.  I've been threatened with how many defamation lawsuits they have pending against people who have posted online about these calls.  WTF?!  That is definitely NOT legal.  

I wish the government would do something about this.  I am tired of being harassed and the fact they are harassing my children is even more wrong.  Now they're harassing my room mate, only because she has the same address as me.

Rec'd a phone call from these jerks today for a person I don't know nor have I ever heard of. I ask this jerk to remove my phone number from their list and he stated he can't because this is # they have for their client, oh my gosh I lost it! I told him I have lived here for over 20 yrs and have had the same phone # for over 10 years so he proceeds to give me my whole name and address, I laughed at him and told him he could go to SPOKEO or other websites and do a reverse phone # look-up and see whose # this is. Needless to say he didn't like that or me being rude back to him so he hung-up on me, LOL! I reported him and this company to the FTC, it's a very easy on-line process, I suggest everyone else do the same. Good Luck.

These people are ruthless. They're not only very unprofessional; they said things to me that were basically criminal in nature. I couldn't get them to quit calling so I decided to turn the tables on them.

I used my home phone and cell phone and had one in one hand and one in the other and just kept hitting redial. I also put both phones on speaker so I could hear the aggravation and frustration that I was now causing them. Then they tried some silly scare tactic and started answering the phone saying "You've reached the Department of Defense. You are to cease calling immediately. These are terrorists calls and we will be coming to get you." The morons don't realize that as they're saying that I'm hearing my other phone ringing in the background. Occasionally I would pause to ask them if they had had enough and if they quit calling me I would so the same. They said that they wouldn't. After about 30 minutes of it one of the guys answered and immediately said "OK, if you leave us alone we'll leave you alone. No more phone calls from us. Do we have a deal?" I was tempted to tell him to eff off and keep calling but didn't.

You bet these are scam artists. I had the sheriffs office here and reported these individuals. I had the first man hang up on me since I would not provide information. The second man said he had to have a phone number to see who the case was about. I said what about the case number you gave. This should be assigned to someone. He said this all sounded phoney. He said he would refer me to the "fraud department". They transfered me to an answering maching beloning to a "jim winton". Never left message.The sheriffs office said that a reputable company would NEVER contact third,fourt,fifth,sixth,seventh and even eighth parties discussing an individual due to HIPPA. He then hooked me up on my computer with the Attorney General's website. I turned in this "company who is serving lawsuit papers" to the AG with all phone numbers and the exact same case number for each indivudal. Watch out, this company has several 888 numbers that they use but the case number is always the same. These people are good but not great. They forgot to check up with law procedures in that a "server" appears in person. The don't give you advance notice to figure out what to do. Plus they know that HIPPA lawsuits would cost them more that what their supposed lawsuit amount could ever be due to the number of persons contacted by these idiots.So far there has been a Daniel, Danielle, Jim,Joshua and two individuals who refused to tell me who they were and the company. The AG's office encourages everyone to turn them in to their state AG. With all individuals being affected maybe this could put a damper on their quest to take advantage of individuals and families.Remember they want the phone number of the person being called, this gives them access to more personal information for more calls to more individuals, don't give it. One person called them and threatened legal action and they told her if she would give her phone number they would remove her number and the "suit"
would be dropped. Please stop these people! It's hard enough these days to raise families but to have scam artists there to try and take advantage of decent people is disgraceful.I kept records and the anwering messages of all calls and turned them over to the AG. Just beware.

These yahoos have been calling me for about 6 months, claiming they are sending out a process server.  They also started calling my husband, asking him for "authorization" to come to our house if I don't call them back within an hour.  We never answer, they just leave voice mail.  

They've recently started claiming that they've served legal papers to my employer, which is completely hilarious, because I am self-employed.

This individual is calling myself and my husband non stop. Saying I am going to be served with legal papers out of Greene County. I haven't lived in Greene County since early 2003. If anything is owed from there it is over 7 years old. I do not believe there is anything out there that I owe. This individual is calling my husband also. To deal with this I have downloaded an app to answer and hang up on this individual and any other caller that calls from and a private or unknown number (Coward little jerk has to private his number LOL). Its funny to hear him scream for a brief second while the app hangs up on him LOL. My husband and I cant stop laughing at him now.  The name of this amazing app is Call Control. I do not even have to listen to him leave a message in my voice mail. This app has a community report list also to prevent this person from calling anyone else. Surely the people that he is calling at work their HR department are suing. You can sue for about 1200.00 per harassment call so save those messages if you are interested in making a little money. Lets shut this little prick down LOL.  This number is also associated with 9092435877.  I might go to to the police department and let a cop answer their call or call and say they are me so they can see that this person is posing as a cop and or an attorney.

USE TO WORK FOR THEM IF YOU GET A CALL IN REGARDS TO THEM YOU OWE SOMEONE MONEY, YOU CAN USUALLY SETTLE WITH THEM FOR LESS.. IF YOU HAD TO GO TO COURT IT WOULD COST MORE.. LEARN TO PAY YOUR BILLS AND YOU WONT GET CALLS.. DUHH.

This is a way to intimidate and hustle you into believing that you are going to be sued. They will call your job, your family, even your neighbors, just to embarrass you and punk u into paying. All you have to do is refuse to pay and keep refusing. Tell them to stop calling or you will go to the authorities. These guys r crooks.

Whenever you get a call from this #, just tell them "there is no one here by that name." If they try to punk you or intimidate u saying "yes this is their number and ur lying," tell them to shut up and that this is a new #, you just got it a few weeks ago. Then tell them if they call again you will report them to the authorities. That will get them off your backs.

Or if they keep calling you because they know the person does live there, then the next time they call just tell them that the individual has moved to another country. Like China or Mongolia or some s***. Then they'll ask "who's taking care of their business," then you reply, "no one!"

That will ge them to f*** off......

So I called and spoke with "Jay" in the "Compliance Department".  He told me he was with "Recovery Specialist Group". After asking numerous times for their Public Relations Officer, a phone number, or an address I can write to (which he never provided), I was put on speaker phone with him and their "in House Counsel "Reuben Stein"".

I stated the purpose of my call again, of course they still did not comply.

I admittedly did call with a rouse, that I was an online blogger (which I am), and that I write for an online community (which I do), but that I was trying to defend companies from being called scams/frauds. Although this last piece is a stretch, if I were to find that this or any other company were legitimate, I would write that up as well, so I was only a half truth.

I just got the call from these people.. They called from a private number to my cellphone.. Said they are scheduled to deliver papers and would I be available to sign for them.. Told the guy I wouldnt be home and that's when he gave me the 888 number and claim/case number.. My sister just got scammed yesterday by someone so taking what I learned yesterday I googled the number before calling it..
