Yes they called, twice this week.  When they called the first time, I went to US Bank to confirm they needed to talk to me.  In looking at all my accounts they do not need to talk to me.  I do qualify for a promotion but there is no reason for me to call back.

I say, do not call them back, and do not give out any of your private information.

888-780-3996 calls saying they're from US Bank. Names they use are Kristen, Anna, Barbara... saying they need to talk to you regarding an urgent "known" ongoing bank matter. When I called back the recording says "Thank you for calling US Bank. Your call may be monitored...." and then the recording asks you to enter your account #. DO NOT DO THIS!  I entered zero & # and got a human immediately who continued to try and get me to verify my info. I used the number they had called me on and then said they would have to verify who they were & they replied "Well, you have our number". I said they would have to give me the city of my branch and the 1st person could not. The 2nd gal had a branch number (after much time & paper shuffling) from 25 years ago and the 3rd person offered to call the branch manager & tell them to call me with the "important" information and then asked for my branch mgr.'s name, the branch #, etc. I called my banker who verified they had not tried to reach me and locked down all my accounts. THESE PEOPLE ARE FAKES & SCAMMERS. DO NOT GIVE THEM THE TIME OF DAY.

Nation Star Mortgage - jumped the gun to call me on Oct 6 to say my house payment is late.  My payment is due on the 1st but there is a 10 day grace period so it's not considered late (and no late charges apply) until the 10th of the month.  My payment has already been mailed and probably already received but apparently not in their system yet.  

This is not the first time this has happened, I've gotten calls saying my payment was over due as early as the 3rd of the month before and other times, Another time, I checked with my bank and saw my payment had already cleared my bank immediately after getting a call from Nation Star saying my payment was late.  I've had this loan for over 3 years and never had a late payment yet.  You'd think they'd prefer not to waste money on calling customers who actually send their payments in on time each month!

Leaving messages saying they are with US Bank without stating why they are calling. When I call the number back it immediately asks me to enter my account number.
