The same thing is happening in Sarnia. My dad made an appointment for tomorrow and I will be there to handle this situation. Is there anything that can be done?

Same as others are finding.  Second call in the past week.  I knew the rebates are over so suspected it to be a scam. Researched after I hung up to confirm my suspicions.  They do not hesitate in identifying themselves as the Ontario Eco Energy and give their phone number.  My call came in from 289 area code but she said she was in Toronto.

Same here, a lady called knowing my address and offering a government rebate. I said straight that I have no money to purchase anything. Insist that it is a rebate. Ok, in order to get a rebate you need to purchase something, we are not interested and please do not called again. Call three times, so I asked for the phone number, same as all people in this website 1-888-790-0719.
I'm just tired of these telemarketers, especially "DUCK Cleaning Services".

Jan 7, 2014. a lady called know my address asked if I am the home owner telling me I may qualify for a gov't $5000 rebate program . She asked if I can answer 5 questions just say yes and no to them. those are about if i had replaced and how old are my windows, furnance, water tank and a/c.  i guess its no harm to these questions and give her the answers. Then she said i qualified and will send someone over to do accessment. I said no as I need to understand what program it is by checking online and I ask for her phone number to call her back.  when i called this number 1-888-790-0719, on body answer, just recording.

Eco Energy Group  1-888-790-0719 called my mother, a senior and set up an appointment  -  I called and called and left a message to cancel the appointment and no one called back.  I wish these telemarketers would stop targeting seniors,
I have told my mother not to answer the door if they show up.

Eco Energy Group Call ID 905-584-8841 claiming to send someone for an assessment of appliances older than 15 years.  Gave 1-888-790-0719 call back number that no one answers.

Called today, said I qualified for a $5000.00 rebate, and was going to do a free audit tomorrow, which I could call 18887900719 to cancel if I was unavailable. The number that showed up in my caller ID was 9055818841. I did some research and noticed that there are no government rebates available, so this is obviously a scam of some sort.

Pretty well the same situation as above. My wife got a call about Ont Eco-Energy doing home audits for furnace & air conditioner etc. Their big selling point was energy rebates from Ontario. My wife was suspicious but didn't find this post while dealing with them on the phone.
Hopefully some turkey doesn't show up at the door this week.

Received a call Aug 3, 2013 where a woman claimed to be " Ontario Eco Energy Program' - I asked twice to jot it down - she pretended to be a government call. Except that it was Saturday.  I could hear other calls going on in the background.

She had my address and stated that this address was entitled to a $5,000 energy rebate and that I had to book an energy audit.  She demanded to know whether I was the homeowner.

I told her to leave their name and phone number and I would call back. She seemed surprised at this. The number she gave was (888) 790- 0719.

When I called back to further investigate, the message was "Eco Energy Group".  Not Ontario Eco Energy Program as she said.  Of course, no one answered the phone:  leave message, missed a call and get a brief description,  re-schedule an energy audit,  find out about your energy rebate status,  or stay on the line and someone will take you call (no one ever does, of course).

Does any one know what the scam is?  What are they trying to achieve?  Are they trying to determine when you are not at home?

They tried calling me today. I was suspicious, and refused to commit myself. Now let em try. Grrrrrrrrrr!

Correction.   This call was made to my home july 6 2013.

Lady called claiming to be with Ont.. Eco Energy trying to book apt to see if i qualify for rebate on ac furnace water heater older than 12 yrs old. This call was made to me july 6,2012. But this tel they left me...when i called it to. Cancel it states this number is currently unavailable    SCAMMERS!!!!!

this is Ontario Eco Energy Inc. and they are scammers.

Selling furnaces,air conditioners and hot water heaters,,another scam claiming rebates that are not available.  Also like to play as if they are a Government agency,,,lol,,,just another run of the mill telemarketing company..

They called us on Thursday november 22, 2012.  They set up an appointment to come here and look at our furnace.  What should we do from here?  We will phone them and cancel this appointment.

Trying to book audit in order to qualify for rebates on replacement furnace/ac/water heater.  As noted in previous entry, the rebates are no longer available.

Trying to book house energy audits for govt rebates which are no longer available.
