I just got the same call only the phone number used was  888-259-2437 and they claimed it was Chase but that the collection agency never did their job and now we owed over $20,000 and would be served today if I didn't take care of it immediately - I didn't even let them get to their generous offer of a settlement before I asked them what is the name of this company and why can't I find any record of you online? I told them that this sounds like a scam and the guy starting yelling at me and said why don't you hang up then?  Bizarre behavior for any business - he said 'no you are the scammer!' I just had to laugh I pay my bills buddy you targeted the wrong person this is a stupid scam how could we have an outstanding debt like that and continue to get credit? None of this makes any sense - he hung up on me.   Scary thing is they have our social security number and address - I am definitely contacting the authorities.

This company is a scam, if you are getting calls from this company call the attorney general. I paid this company in full for a Cashcall loan I took out. I found out after I paid that this company does not even own the debt... Now I am stuck paying a different company.

I have been getting calls from several numbers including this one 888-794-2763 claiming they are from pre-trial mediation using different names. This man said he is Mr Stewart giving me a call about a formal complaint that's been filed against me on fraud charges???  I have no idea what they are refering to.  I contacted an attorney I used to work for to look into this for me. His first response to me was is this a scam.  Did I google it.  Another person's name was John Spencer who called from another a nother number.  The script was similar and the reference number is the same but I have seen a number of complaints about Mr. John Spencer claiming that this is a scam.  This has been going on since February and is very annoying. I did call them back but I got a very rude and person who answered who tried to intimidate me and tell me they know where I live and then they ended up hanging up on me.  This is very upsetting and I have no knowledge of any complaint or debt that they are referring to.  Why is there no professional identification on these numbers when they call?

They Call saying can I talk with Mary and my wife like who is Maria ?? my name is not Maria and she told her your last 4 of your Social is #### and my wife is like yes (with wonder) ?? and she told her you said YES then it's right we are witting your name to court and we need you to go to court ETC we told them give us the last name they kept saying we are not giving you the last name and we hang up, after 2 hours another lady called from the same number said we are the court and we are calling regarding your Pavilion Bank Case we are like F... Off and we shut the phone they kept calling they are crazy

These clowns called me on several occasions the last 30 days, on my cell phone. They allege that I have a warrant out for my arrest and that I'm going to be served papers on a debt that I owe to a bank I have no account with - for some kind of fraud. Alrighty then. So I told the caller, send me something in writing. They tried to say they don't have to and that regardless it's her civic duty to call me to make me pay this bill and that I owe it whether I deny it or not.

Okay, so I cursed her out. She called me back from another number. She told me I just cursed her out and my kids should be ashamed to have me as a mother. I told her she used to f___ her father growing up and hung up on her.

I'd like to see them serve me or even try to collect a dime. I'm not the one and I blocked the number. They also called from 202 449-7854

Like one of the posts above, I too received a call from "Mike Barber".  He has this thick, black, baritone voice and tries to sound menacing.  Told me he was conducting a background investigation on me regarding a complaint "by way of the State and county" (he mentioned the county and State I do live in).  He did not give any company name.  Said I needed to call him back immediately and left a number.

This guy is exactly the fraud the folks in the posts above mention.  I don't even have so much as a parking ticket against me or my name, and this "SHAKE DOWN" is nothing but FAKE.  

Just two weeks ago, I was attending a fundraiser on behalf of seniors who need legal services and the keynote speaker spoke of this very scam going on with these scam artist callers like "Mike Barber".  They are menacing elders particularly, and just freaking them out.  DO NOT FALL for this fear tactic and this call or caller.  IT IS BULL PUCKEY!!

Just received a call from the same number.  The guy's name is Jim Wallace.  He was very rude and threatened me regarding an outstanding bill from 2001 with Providian Bank.  He said that the amount is over $2000.  That amount has been paid off for many years, and the balance was much less than that when I paid it.  He has hung up on me twice and has threatened me with lawsuits and that he will send a sheriff to my house.  Another number they have used is: 5164530169.  He said that the name of the company is Pretrial Mediation, which I have not been able to locate online.

ROBO calls 4th time. Waited on hold...Claims I have been named a defendent, and called me a jerk. SCAM

Got a call from this number. The first time when I tried to talk to the man who answered to tell him I knew nothing of the debt he was referring to he was screaming and yelling at me to shut.up (yeah real professional). Then I called back and spoke with another man who said he was going to serve me, they are going to freeze my bank accounts, and take my next three years taxes. Then said I would be arrested at work. I went to the local sheriff station and they said they do not get involved in civil suits and by no means is credit card debt a criminal offense! Reporting these scam artists to the attorney general!

They called me up saying I have a credit card debt from 2001 that I'm being sued for. I asked the lady on the phone if her a** gets jealous from the crap that's coming out of her mouth, because in 2001 I was 12 years old. I definitely did not have a credit card. She FLIPPED out on me and told me I'm going to jail then hung up on me..

Mike Barber called said that they just ran a background check on me.  There is a criminal investigation pending against me. I am a respondent in a case and that they had an affidavit. He said I needed to show up in court. They named the county where I lived!  When I called back, the phone rang forever. Finally a lady named Lola answered the phone.  She wanted my case number. She was very rude and hung up the phone!

Class Action Lawwsuite ,calls to me and my daughter ,placed on hold ,disconnected,tried to call back many times,business conduct not appropriate ,do not identify themselves in appropriate manner,won't respond to questions,stated put on hold and never returned due to personal problems,extremely rude .
Very strange .
