I just received a similar automated message this morning stating an item was returned by my bank and to call them today to resolve this matter or they would take legal action.

Got a "returned item" call today. We have never had a returned item in the 58 years that we've had bank accounts! Interesting that the same number is calling some people about bank checks, and also notifying others about winning various models of cars. Probably trying to get SS or bank account numbers.

they stated that my bank returned a check i wrote them and if i do not contact them, they will take legal action.  I haven't written a check in a while.

I got one of these "returned item" calls today. Checked with my bank; no problems. Scam.

I received the exact same message today from a woman named Daisy Glenn. Said I owned money for a pay day loan from 2011 Crock of you know what.

Was left a message that something was returned to my account and that I needed to return the call or legal action would have to be taken. I am glad it is a scam My account was perfectly fine. I hate A***ole people like this.!

If you had a check turned back, the Bank would have notified you as well as fined you for the overdraft. And the business itself would have contacted you. For Extortion Scam Operations,  File reports with the FBI, your state attorney general and Department Of Justice,CFB,FTC & FCC..

They called this afternoon, a message in the answering machine ask us to call back because they had a check that B of A returned back , it supposedly was made to Pay a loan yes. How come that this Scammers continue taking advantage of Seniors Citizen?  There must have been some way to stop them.

Got a call today saying the same thing about a return item from the bank. Scam !!!!!!!!!!!! I told them to go ahead with the legal procedure. She ask me why. I told her that me and the Attorney General will be waiting for the documents. She hung up.

I also got a call from this number claiming the same thing that I have a returned item from the bank and they will take legal action if I don't return the call.

I think its a crock and I choose to ignore this.

This number called me but left no message.

Left message about a returned check from a bank I no longer use. Called back and was told I owe a Payday loan and was contacting me to resolve the matter (these people have called before) I told her she had my blessings to start ANY legal paper she felt neccesary. When are the Fed's gonna stop these scammers!

I received a call from the same number stating that it i had something returned from my bank account and that if i didnt reply to the message then they would proceed with legal actions.  Total Scamming number.

I just got one of those calls today too and I don't even have a checking account

Called...left a message about something being returned by my bank.  When I called back they tried to tell me that I had an unpaid payday loan.  I have received these before and almost believed them...until the date I was supposed to have taken out the payday loan was attached to an address I had not lived at in years.  They said they were a law office.

This has been a huge bother, trying to obtain personal information bank account information for a debit I do not even know about.
Calling back to back leaving voice mail's, speaking very quickly.
I wish they would quit already.
This person is not even at the number they are calling that they are tying to find.

Got one today , also about a returned bank item.

I also received a call saying that I have a return bank item. The message is extremely vague and automated I know I have not had any issues with my bank will not be calling back.

I just got a message left on my phone to say they had a returned item from my bank and if I did not call back (1-888-800-6715) they may have to start legal proceedings.  Seems the frere car scam must have stopped working so now they will play on peoples fear of legal proceedings.  As I know I have had no bank items returned I know this is a scam.

Called Spoke with (Dorothy) I told her to put me on the do not call list. She told me that she cannot do that. This was a legal office. She then asked me for my phone not my name. I told her that I would not give it to her so she told me that she cannot help me.

I got a call from this number telling me that I had a returned item to my bank. That I need to call this number back to clear up this matter before charges are filed.

A man call me about a payday loan company named loanyes.com.Stating owe they. But all my loans are paid. These payday people place you on a list. This is a fraud.

Today is my luck day! Derrick just called me and said I won a car! He repeated the earlier claims, this is not a cold call, we know you are on the no call list, you signed up for this contest, this is your final notice.

Nice scam. I did not sign up for anything.

Don't fall for this one

I received a call today telling me my name had been drawn and I had won a Ford Explorer.  I told them I hadn't entered any contests.  They read off a lot of information about me but had one thing incorrect.  They said I was married.  My husband has been deceased for 8 years now. I started questioning THEM and they said they must have the wrong Gretchen ********** and hung up.  I will be blocking that toll free number from my phone.  I love that feature on my phone!

I received a call and it stated that it was the notification center thats used by other companies to notify me. That an entry form was filled out in my name in the last 12-18 months ago & since my form was pulled I will be awarded one of the top 3/4 major prizes & that they are not telemarketing or timeshare or cold calling me & they are aware of the do not call list. So i called back talked to a rep that was nice I took the information went to the presentation received everything that  stated and I was pleased and we brought a travel package. I was pleased  at first but happy we went.

I also got the message from David on my mother-in-law's phone, saying she had won a prize from an entry she had filled out in the last 12-18 montbs. She's been in a nursing home for the last 4 years so I know this has to be a scam.
