THIS IS A SCAM. There is no such air carrier called "US Airlines." There is US Air and United Airlines but "US Airlines" does not exist. http://www.kls2.com/airlines/n-america.html lists all North American carriers and "US Airlines" isn't on it. THIS IS A SCAM. This is a version of the advance-fee-for-something scam where something is a grant, loan, lottery winnings, interest rate reduction, gift card, refund, doggie, cruise, vacation, free gas, etc., and the advance-fee is for tax, shipping, registration, insurance, secure handling, processing, etc. They may send you a fake check, may want your credit/debit card or bank account number,  or tell you to wire cash via Western Union, Moneygram, etc. They can put recurrent difficult-to-cancel monthly charges or a 1-time charge on your card or bank account, and sell account info to other criminals and you'll have to replace accounts altogether. Wired-cash is irretrievable - once it's picked up at the other end, it's untraceable and gone. If they want you to call them up for instructions, they may tell you not to discuss the wire with Western Union desk clerks but the real reason is WU clerks are familiar with these scams and will warn you not to wire the money. Report to US Postal Service Inspectors https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/forms/MailFraudComplaint.aspx , the Federal Communications Commission http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm , the Federal Trade Commission https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ and your state AG http://www.naag.org/current-attorneys-general.php as appropriate.

I knew someone who worked for them and yes, they are not only deceptive to what they do, they are also deceptive to what they are. The woman who does the hiring is mean and nasty. They expect there agents to book all post card/letter mailings that day. They do not care if the consumer lives 3 hours a way and that they had just called in about an hour and half before the appointment. Deborah Lloyd is not a nice person at all. She tells the agents to speak extremely fast like you can notice if the person is reading a script. What bothers me most is that all the supervisors make there agents read there script word for word, and if they get a little tongue tide by using any words like AND or UM or have a few stumbles, they sure let them know about it. And if they do not get there way of same day appointment, they send there agents home with no pay. They pay there agents $10 and hour and they are supposed to work a 6 hour shift with no breaks unless they say it's ok. They pay like contractors but us the agents like employees. Example, my friend asked about 3 hours into the shift if he could use the bathroom and they told him to hurry up and not to take more then 5 minutes. All there agents work from home too. Another example of there deceptive practice is that they made it real clear that there script had been examined by there attorney. If you are  familiar with law, you would no that written documents state a lot of and/or clauses. Sometimes words like that can determine a lot of problem solving or making. Well, they make there agents say this clause towards the end of there script, especially if the consumer consented to go the presentation "THIS IS THE ONLY WAY I GET PAID IS BY YOU ATTENDING AND RECEIVING THE EXACT INCENTIVES WE HAVE DISCUSSED". Right there is a flat out lie! Some of the agents would be posting group text to each other saying things like "TELL THEM YOU HAVE 3 CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 8 AND THAT THIS IS THE ONLY WAY I GET PAID". Who does this if a attorney had looked at this script. They are very very deceptive. DO NOT DUE BUSINESS WITH OR WORK FOR THEM.  P.S. There vacation time share is $12.000 to purchase.

I too received an offical looking envelope.  I had been picked to get a round trip ticket from any major U.S. airport.  First thing I noticed, it doesn't tell you where you're going to fly to.  However, they will provide hotel accommodations.  Oh yeah, they will also give me a $500.00 Rewards Cash Card.  Wonder just where you can use such a card.  Do a search on this number 888-287-5525.  Appears this CCS may have used an different scheme earlier.

I received the letter in mail today. It looks like some Tax form. On the top of it it says "Division of Revenue, Department of Funding  - Bailout -- Form 2009. There is a request to postmaster to deliver this letter between 2/3 - 2/5. There is Warning on the left bottom corner  "The penalty for obstructing or interfering with the delivery of this letter is a fine of $2000 and upto 5 years imprisonment"  Inside the letter they are asking me to call 1-888-801-4387. I am sure it's some thing related to selling of Time Shares. I am not calling anyway.
Thanks

I got a letter exactly like the previous post stated.  At first glance, I thought it was my tax refund, but upon opening, I found it to be from some company called CCS.  I googled the address listed for the company (5400 University Blvd. Suite 5 Tyler, TX 75707) and I came up with a bunch of websites like this one where people have received the same letter.  Apparently, they are selling timeshares, but I couldn't find any legitimate website for the company, and I have determined that this is a scam.

I did receive an email from "DIstribution Department". I gotta say that I was happy for a moment. But then I realized that I did not enter in any sweepstakes nor did I have anything to do with Continental Airlines. I checked the company name and there was not one. It is a company's tradition to GLOAT when they give you a simple discount. Think of what they would do with it if they gave you free tickets and stuff.... :)

Got this mailing today. Under no circumstances should anyone call this number. If you do, they will be able to call you whenever they want for the next 18 months because according to the 'Do Not Call' list, you contacted them & because you contacted them, you now 'have a relationship'; this gives them permission to call you for the next 18 months.

Just got this same letter yesterday, was hoping maybe it was an offer for a car or dollars off a new car since I'm in the market to get one. Was disappointed it was just another line of junk mail. Thanks for all the previous posts that have saved me some time and a definite headache!

Stated winning two airline tickets, if you called 1-888-801-4387, From Julie Robinson, VP of Distribution, Tyler, Tx.
Companies should not be allowed to use any type of Government Symbols, names etc,.. to get people to call them for advertising purposes.

Mailing to call 888-801-4387. "Free plane tickets" for "America's Airways", in wife's maiden name (married over 4 years, they need to buy a newer database". She opened as the outside had 10-95 or such and she thought it was a tax form (It's a little late, but still tax season". Contained a slip labeled "Boarding Pass" and had a seat assignment AND flight number- lol- a seat assignment and a flight number for a "free ticket anywhere in the USA for two". They must have ESP to know the flight number...and I guess I'll be sitting on her lap since there is only one seat.

Another one for a boring night to call and waste their time for sending us junk mail.

No call received, but did receive letter.  Even has the Statue of Liberty on it next to "United States of America".  They were even so kind as to use my former married name.  How "au currant".  Julie Robinson, VP Of Distribution, wants to give me 2 round trip airline tickets along with hotel accommodations AND $500 Rewards cash card.  Didn't bother calling, especially after reading everyone's comments here.

Contact the Federal Trade Commission (www.ftc.gov) and tell them about this obvious scam.  The more complaints they get, the more likely they are to do something about it.

If I was the 'legit' CCS, I would be pretty p*$sed about some scam artist using my company's name.

Same story... same details. They want you to come to a 90 minute marketing meeting for a travel agency and then insist that you will get the tickets, etc. for "keeping them in mind in your future travel needs." Insist there is a no purchase guarantee, and were upfront about marketing strategies. Has anyone gone to the meeting?

Has anybody actually phoned them up? How does the scam work? A fee to claim the "prize"?

I think they got my name from Social Security files - I recently enrolled. If so, I would like to report them to the "authorities" - whoever that might be.

I agree! This was a disgusting attempt to make people open their marketing letters! I wanna find out exactly who they are so we can send them a nasty, guilt-ridden letter! How dare they prey on people desparately awaiting real, legitimate help from the government!

There has to be something illegal or illegitimate about the company and the offer for it to be so deceptive.
Notso Naive was it worth your time to have your name removed from their list? I think calling just confirms that it is a "good address" and when they remove my name, they just sell it to another marketer.  I'd like someone else's thoughts on this.

We received our "award" letter today, claiming we won "two round trip airline tickets from any major international airport in the continental USA along with hotel accomodations. As an added gift, you will receive a $500.00 Rewards Cash Card."  Since we never entered any type of contest or sweepstakes, we were naturally suspicious, but not curious enough to call the phone number.  Our local news media frequently report scams of this type; maybe we'll forward it to them.  We hope no one falls for it.  Thanks to all the other posters out there who helped confirm our suspicions!
