Called to say I won a trip and asked for specific credit card details...I called the number but it does not exist....

just got a call like this...said they were from mastercard/visa...foreign caller as well and wanted my expiry date. We kept questioning him on our information if it was indeed from mastercard they would be able to provide us with it....kept on questioning him and he kept talking in circles.
He gave us the name John Williams and the number 1888801 5100 as a call back. we told him to send the info in the mail. I'm sure that if we gave him our expiration date, our card would have been theirs...DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO TO THIS PERSON!

Just got spammed by this person as well. Said he was from Master Card and would offer a very low interest rate - started quoting obvious things like the current interest rate and that it would match my last statement etc - ie trying to prove he was the real deal.
As soon as he asked me to confirm the expiry date I said we was a cold caller and then he hung up.
He said the call back number was 1888 801 5100

Sorry...Call display number was 1-905-345-4321 with a bunch of numbers ater it...V11211809420009. Call back number was the 1-888 number.

Same call and number. Foreign (Indian). Gave callback number as 1-888-801-5100 x206 John Dlide. Number was obviously not good. Said was from Visa and rambled on about trip stuff and discount and wanted expiry date. Told him to send letter with info as no info goes out over phone...he got mad and hung up...before I could tell him to F off. I'm in Ottawa Canada.
