they are scammers from some stupid outfit - recommend themselves as on behalf of  visa issuer rewards for being a good customer and if you give them your numbers from the card for confirmation - they will charge you a fair amount like they did to me - do not be stupid like me - visa declined to stop the charge on the card after I called them

"Mike Thomas & his supervisor Pan Parker" phoned me with the same bs they told everyone on this blog.  I am now out pocketed $650 US and still paying interest on it...Been three months no packages sent, no other calls received, etc.
I have been phoning this 888-801-5190 # to no avail, left countless messages, no calls received!! To make matters worse, my credit card was charged by an accounting firm in Florida!!  My financial instition isn't helping either. I have lost faith in all of them, can't wait to pay off my debt and get on it with life without credit cards, they're all scum bags!! I am cutting off my phone too! Appearantly even the phone company doesn't keep taps on the numbers that a customer receives, BS!

They just called and it was the same as all the other posts. They asked for the last 12 numbers on the card, which leaves the first 4, and they are always the same! A call to the RCMP is next.

I got a call from these guys today. Same as the rest of you, I almost believed it, but it never feels good to give CC info to a complete stranger, now does it? ( Was it their accent that gave it away?."calling" NOT "colling". they should work on that). So when I balked, the "manager" got testy and eventually hung up. It is a very sneaky set-up to the actual asking fo private info. Add to tha,t they had some of my CC info., ( where do they get that, online?)  I wonder what the next scam will look like? The scam before this one was constant calling to collect a non-existent bill,(and possibly from Mumbai as well?) Stay on your your toes!, check your statements! Listen for good pronunciation! and ...I love curry!

I work for a major financial institution within Canada and we handle these types of concerned calls on a regular basis.  We highly recommend cardholders to refrain from providing any of their personal or credit account information to anyone over the phone when it is not proactively initiated by said cardholder.  Any time you receive an incoming call (telemarketing) please obtain as much information as possible from the caller and if they ever introduce themselves as the credit company or "working on behalf of" it needs to be escalated to the card company in question so that we can attempt to shut down their scam.  The only time you should provide this information is if you have personally initiated a transaction (telephone and online purchases are actually quite safe as long as you are familiar with the merchant and are proactively processing the charge).  For online charges most larger companies have whats called "verified by Visa" or "MasterCard Securecode" which are additional security precautions in place to protect your purchase.  Also websites that you provide your information to should have the littel padlock at the bottom right corner to signify that they are a secure website.  I hopr this information helps!! :)

Yes Holidays4u  IS a fraud company!!!!!!!!!  Their number is  18888015190.  Some guy with a phony name ADAM starts off by telling me how he is calling me from my Credit card company and that since I've been such a good customer and made all my payments on time I won a free two week vacation. All expenses paid.  I just had to verify my credit card info with them!   So he goes on to verify my name, and phone number and credit card number {HOW DID THEY GET THAT INFO????? This is what I don't understand}.  Then he wants me to give him the expiration date and the security code on the back of my credit card. Which I did NOT and I had this number put under investigation by the authorization department of my credit card company. YOU can do the same!!!  Report them ... if the Police will take your report give it to them.

same thing here. I just received a call from my M/C saying since I received this package that I was on the hook for this charge.

BUT I was distinctively told there would be no charge to my card until I actually booked this trip. Then once I booked the trip there would be a charge to my card.

I was also given h*llfor hanging up the first time. They called me back and said I was rude and that this was a real gift for being in such good standing with my cards.

He then proceeded to actually give me my other credit card info right there and I got duped a second time!
So now I am paying twice for this.
Every time I try to call the numbers they gave me it either disconnects or says sorry the mailbox is full at this time.
That's it.
Did anyone get the name Marc DeCosta?
I got laid off from my job and now have to pay all of this because I received the PACKAGE!

After my run-in described above, I called MasterCard and  told them that the caller asked for my expiry date. The MC fraud investigator said that meant that Holiday4U already had my MC number and that my card had been compromised. They cancelled my card before a fraudulent charge could be made and I hope to get my replacement soon.

I was punished (well, inconvenienced) and the scammers keep calling other people.

Was offered a free trip for 4 to Florida if I gave out my card # and security code. When I hesitated the caller assured me that it wasn't a scam and gave me the 888 number to call back. Fortunately, I checked this site and did not give them my information.
I did call the 888 number to confirm my suspicions and the service manager said that the negative comments on this site were placed by thei competitors to scare off customers.
I know that I don't work for their competitors and was grateful for these warnings.

I also received a call and as stupid as I am I believed that I won a free package. They told me that my card will not be debited until I make my reservation and what a surprise when I checked my account, $ 600 has being paid off. I haven't received the package yet but I called them to say I wanted to cancel everything. They were supposed to call me back, the package has been sent through courier so I wanted the AWB number to chase it. Of course they didn't but I am determined to call them every single day until I get somewhere.
I've never been scammed but I think this is a good lesson.

I got a call from 18888015190.  Like all the other people they offered me a holiday.  When I refused to give my CC details they actuzaally proved to me that they had my details and just wanted to verify that I was the owner.  I still did not part with my details, in fact I became rude. I was then transferred to the "manager" who "authenticated" the call.
The offer of the holiday was for my loyality and for being a good customer!1  They took $600 from my acc.  I then varified my details unfortuantely.I just called my Visa co who confirmed the fraud.  I will now contact The Payments Dispute depts to get re-embursed.

I got a call from them yesterday.  I was first doubtful but I don't know what went into my head when I gave them my info.  For the whole day today, I've been calling both my credit card company to stop the payment and the stupid 1-888-801-5190 number.  But my cc company tells me that I can't stop the payment, and I can only dispute it.  And when I tried calling the scammers, none of the reps are available and the voicemail is full.  What should I do?

Called 1-888-801-5190, ironically no matter what option you choose all the rep are busy & you get transferred to voicemail.  The problem with that is that the message said there is no room to leave a voicemail.  Nice scam guys!!!

The same thing happened to my wife,  we called the 1-888-801-5190 press #3 and ask for a refund.  we did this and got a confirmation # from them and a name.  Note the money was not in the account to take out but according to our bank you have 30 days to get a refund before you are locked in.  This company is not a fraud it actually is a travel copany which uses fraud measures to tie you in.  hopefully you can get a refund
