I was searching to see if this number appeared online. It is on a printed application I got sent to me from Bank of America for a consolidation loan offer.

I verified with Bank of America that it is legitimate and can be seen online along with your other Bank of America accounts; however, it's useless. They promise something (a consolidation loan) that doesn't really consolidate anything...unless the total amount of ALL your bills is $500!

How can you apply for this loan online? Received in the mail an offer and would like to consider it. Thanks

This "loan" company that is part of Bank of America is a preditory loan group that is offering easy loans with extreamly high interest rates. The ad said 7.99 fixed and I was given 20.99% on $30,000.00. I refused and they argued with me like a used car dealer. She tried to make me feel like I didn't know how to manage money if I didn't think she wasn't giving me a great deal. I said no again over an hour into the pitch and she "went to the manager" to see if they could offer a better deal and they came back at 15.9%, I still said no and she became very upset and asked why I even called them, in a very hateful tone. I hung up at that point. P.S. I have a great credit rating and I got the same amount from my local bank at 7.9% and no 3% fee that this group charges.

I received several mailers from Bank of America and pre-approved lines of credit. I called the 888-803-5422 number and was not convinced because the person on the other line spoke bad english and it sounded like I called overseas. I asked for the address to mail the application and I was given two addresses that did not even match the envelope I was given with the offer. I tried to chat online direct with the Bank of America website and the operator could not verify any pre-approved offers. By what I read, I am throwing these offers in the trash! Beware of mail fraud!

I called 1-888-803-5422 to apply for a loan via the mailer I received. I got put on infinite hold and an Account Specialist never picked up. Now I am worried!

I have gotten the same flyer in the mail. Bank of America has the same offer on their website, but nowhere on the website can i find the number 1-888-803-5422.
I WOULD NOT reply to this however, if you notice, the enclosed envelope is addressed to a PO Box. No way am I sending personal information to a PO Box. If this is legitimate you can get the same offer at the bank in person.

I haven't been called by this number, but I have received three paper mailers offering "up to $50,000" to consolidate my credit card debt. Each one looks slightly different, but they are all from Bank of America. They look legitimate to me, and do not appear to be a scam, except for the interest rate!

Theis phone number is on a what appears to be a money loan scam. The key thing is the letters wants your Checking account number to deposit the money. any thing like this red flags as a scam. Also needs to be done in 7 days. 3-29-2008.
