Called looking for a relative, asking me to CALL MY RELATIVE FOR THEM.  Not nice to put other people's business out there like that.

Now that I am awake enough to remember my manners, they called me looking for someone I have not spoken to for over 2 years.  They asked for me but were calling my 87yo MIL's number.  The person they are calling about is not related to us in any manner other than she used to be our neighbor.  So the best I can figure is she used me as a reference to purchase a car, but that was after we no longer even spoke.  We had moved out of state.  So they do not even check references BEFORE they hand out the loan.  Not a company I want to do business with.  I spoke to our attorney because I not only care for the 87 yo MIL during the day but work the overnight shift, so I was getting a nap and don't mess with my naps.  My attorney told me to call the number back and get their mailing address.  Send a certified letter with the information you have, like I have not spoken to this person for over 2 yrs or whatever fits your situation, and tell them that they are to cease contacting you in any manner.   Also include in the letter that you will be contacting not only the Attorney General in your state but also in Louisiana, but you must have proof that you sent them the letter so it becomes harassment and the AG now has grounds to pursue them.

They are calling you because she listed you as a reference....so if they cannot get her they call everyone she listed as a personal reference

My son has a loan that was sold to these people.  He got laid off and was $159.00 pas due on his car note.  These people called my ex stepfather from over 25 years ago, that lives in another state to get a message to my son.  I called them and asked them not to call him and was told that they will call anyone they want, even old high school friends that I have not seen or talked to in years.  They also told me that they could do whatever they want and did not care what the laws were in my state.  Someone really needs to do something about them!!

This company calls repeatedly daily for Sylvia or Anthony Turner. Our family is tired of telling these customer service agents that for 14 yrs we've had this number and the people they are searching for doesn't reside in our home. Please check the contacts of your potential customers before handing out loans!!!!!

These cats are hilarious. They blind called talking about, they looking for someone who listed me as a reference..... Here's the thing. Even though we have the same last name (trust me, it's super common), I have never heard of them. And my number is sooooo new, that even if I knew the person with the same last name, I wouldn't have given them my new number because I don't even know it without looking at it on paper, lol.

I got a call from this 888 number on my cell phone. How they got my cell phone number is unknown to me because I have only had this number for a year. Asking for a good phone number for a relative. Then I get a call from my brother asking if someone just called him from same number and I said yes. So I cross referenced the number and low an behold others have been contacted from this number as well. The nerve. I know everybody needs to be employed but I certainly could not work in a job with these people. Takes head hunters to a new level.

Received call from this number at 7:07 AM Central time, looking for an ex co-worker who used me as a reference.  I had told them over a month ago that she moved out of state and I don't have any information and for them to remove my number.  They assured me it was gone.  Uh, no.  Time for threatening letter.

got a dall yesterday from the asking for a person I don't know told them so,thought that was the end of it,nope called today and asked again for this person,told them to remove my number and don't call it again,see if that works, fat chance will see tomarrow

I got a message in Spanish from this number.  #1.  I don't speak Spanish.  #2.  I have no idea why I got this call.

called asking for my neighbor that i dont know and have no dealings with, but had my name and wanted me to deliver a message to him..creepy and annoying

They are a debt collector from Crescent Bank actually looking for a relative - they should keep peoples business private - I would never deal with these folks.

Crescent Bank calling about my sister's late payment on something who knows.

Just got a call from them.  Like everyone else, they are calling about my sisters late car payment.  She put me down as a reference.  Thank god for HTC smart phone, now I just send them straight to voicemail.

Crescent Bank calling about sister's late car payment. They call constantly. They are rude, annoying and even call my cell phone. Just love the aggravating b****oles so much. I always look forward to thier untimely calls!

left a message for me to return their call, said they've been trying to reach sister and brother in law but want ME to call them back.  I bet it's about late car payment.  I'm not a co-signer.  Have no idea how they got my land line number since it's in my maiden name and they asked for me by married name.

Crescent Bank & Trust trying to collect on someone that is not us.  Have been calling for months even though we always tell them that they have the wrong person and to take them off our list.  Very frustrating.
