I had a voicemail from this number, the lady said her name was Ashley from BOR. I haven't had any luck on finding anything on the web as of yet.

I appreciate that. I do know they are associated with the phone number 8889063016 because they left me two voicemails, one with that number and one with the number this particular post is under. If you google the other number, there are a lot of bad posts about how fraudulent it is! I believe the name of the company is VOR. The lady kind of slurred her words. They called today about six times as unknown number and left another message.

Sorry if anyone got off on the wrong foot.  The regulars around here can be skeptical because we have seen a rash unregistered posters planting false information and testimonials to make illegal collection operations look legitimate.  I can assure you it wasn't a personal attack.

Any talk about "fraud" is just hot air, there are no charges pending, they are not law enforcement, and they can't issue a warrant.  You can be sued over debt in civil court, but the plaintiff will just file suit and you learn about it in the mail or get served.  No one calls you to "warn you", they just do it.

These jokers are simply some bottom feeders trying either: a) collect non-existent debts; b) collect debt they don't own; or C) if they do own it, they are engaging in so many FDCPA violations it is not funny.  

These are unscrupulous "collectors" in the US who either have some fantasy about being Inch High Private Eye or think they some "legal professional".

I got a call also from this number on Tues 1/14/14 asking that I call them back blah blah blah about a Statement of Intent and a Claim Number and sounded threatening...no threatening words just the way it came across like verbiage a law office would use and words that makes you feel uncomfortable that you have to pay more attention to their message.  And to treat the voice message as legal notification.

If you read what has been said, it say that we do not recognize the company name. I did not understand what they said. How come you two are the only ones that are rude to me? As for caller id info, as stated, they call as an unknown number and they left the number that this forum is listed under. I'm not going to defend anyone or disrespect anyone but please be respectful of my posts because I'm sorry if I don't post the way you like, but insulting someone you don't even know is pretty rude. I don't think I offended anyone.

Unfortunately, if these really are calls from BOR Mediation, reporting them to the BBB isn't likely to do much good.  They already have an "F" rating there and a history of either not answering complaints, of hiding from the BBB (i.e., the BBB could not locate them) or of refusing to resolve complaints through the BBB process.  See:

Furthermore, they do not appear to be registered to do business in New York State.  You can try looking them up here, but I haven't (yet) been able to find them:

Note that looking for their filing of an "assumed name certificate" or a filing in a county in New York is not something that I can feasibly do, and that there may be other licenses they might have that I haven't yet searched or that might not be searchable for free on-line.

if you want to see what the address you gave us actually looks like.  You might have to check Erie property tax records to find out which building is actually assigned the address, but the usps.com web site indicates it is a legitimate mail delivery address.

What information? You actually posted nothing useful to others let alone each other..  the point is who called you.. a telemarketer, a debt collector or unknown. What did they say, is it a answering machine message or did they talk to you personally? Post the company name or caller id info. Not that hard to do.  If you don't know, then it doesn't take umpteen posts to say that.  This isn't a chat board either btw and your posts look more like chat then call information or help...

Sorry I don't sit on the internet all day but I was having a conversation with someone with the information disclosed to each other. So before you judge someone and say they have a low IQ, why don't you just calm down for a moment? Why are you taking out your aggression on people that are trying to help each other out? They are going as far as calling Family members, which whom I haven't spoken to in years. I tried calling the company, no answer. I found this information under a different number when I googled the company:

Fake debt collector with illegal tactics to collect and prey on victims. There are many more like this "debt collector" and most of which operate out of the state of New York. They steal people's information and call and threaten as a means of collecting money which is not theirs to collect.

If you are being harassed by this company or similar companies, send a Cease & Desist letter to them IMMEDIATELY via certified mail with a delivery confirmation receipt.

Did they tell you that you have til the end of the business day? They said that yesterday and today. I'm in NC what state are you in?

Neither do I. But the scams I have experienced have been with foreign people and this lady didn't seem foreign. She did stumble on her words a few times, but she was definitely sounded like she spoke English well. :/
